Buffalo Barbarian
"But they haven’t just risked alienating Tomlin. They’ve also risked upsetting their franchise quarterback. Pittsburgh's offensive upheaval "I've gotten a lot of calls and texts and emails from people around the league, both good and bad about (Haley),'' Roethlisberger told the Post Gazette. "Everybody has an opinion, as we all know, and they're letting me know what their interaction with him was -- good, bad and indifferent. I've heard a lot of things and I'm looking forward to meeting him and forming my own opinion." But Roethlisberger also made sure the owners heard his voice after Arians’ contract wasn’t renewed. And he gave a hint of future frustrations." How cool would it be in some weird twist if we could get Roethlisberger. They can keep Tomlin he ruined their power running game and if he wasn't in Pittsburgh he'd be a bum. http://eye-on-football.blogs.cbssports.com/mcc/blogs/entry/22475988/34778275

Zulu Cthulhu
True but one can hope, who thought Peyton would be out the door. After missing an entire season with a serious neck injury at 36 years old with $28 million due to him? Many people thought he may get sent packing. Has nothing in common with Big Ben. Bad comparison. mellaman101
Living here in the Pittsburgh area and tuning into the local sports radio 93.7, there is more turmoil behind the curtain that what is being said. That team is a mess behind closed doors. Ben and Harrison have WAY to big of mouths and its funny, they both hang out together. Ben, who I have met before at the casino here, is a world class !@#$. UConn James
I don't see where the contention is. Roethlisberger has gotten some input from people around the league from people who think that Haley is great and some that he's lousy. He'll be meeting with Haley and from there he'll decide for himself. In order for this to be a story, it would have to be something like BR refuses to work with Haley. How did people around the league view Kevin Gilbride after what he did in Buffalo and in his previous stops? What did they think of him? Everybody has fan-boys and haters. Two Super Bowl Championships later, KG's not looking too bad....
metzelaars_lives
Surprises me how much hate BR gets here, but Vick is alright. HA! Are you serious? For a seasoned vet like yourself, I'm surprised you would say that. Vick got/gets SLAMMED on here whenever his name comes up. Not to mention, one of these men did 2 years in the state pen-ton, the other one got off pretty much scott free.

chris heff
Surprises me how much hate BR gets here, but Vick is alright. Roethlisberger is a sociopath. One woman accusing him of sexual abuse could be a case of gold digging but two makes it a pattern, there are probably more. What was a guy his age with his money doing in a Podunk college town bar? Then in a PR move he suddenly finds Jesus and gets married, give me a brake. Vick is also a sociopath and a thug. His level of cruelty to animals is despicable but his victims were not human. Hater
or a victim of golddiggers, That could be true...... If he had did it more than once, he has a history of assaulting young girls & sure its not a problem in Pittsburgh as long as he is winning hell the next thing will be said if Jerry Sandusky would have won Penn St more championships it be ok what he did & as for Vick I don't like him either but at least he served his time in jail he didn't walk like Roethlisberger

Zulu Cthulhu
Jay Cutler No superbowls. Look, I know Ben was upset with Arians leaving. But Haley was literally JUST hired. There's been little to no interaction between him and his QB yet. Can we wait a bit and see if Ben really does go Cutler-mode and sulk his way out of Pitt? Big Ben's no brain surgeon, but even he knows Pitt is one of the most attractive places to play in the league. And i can't fathom Tomlin and the Rooneys siding with Haley over their 2 time Champion QB if by chance the two don't get along. That's it, I'll leave you to your fantasies now.
