Or at least a rationalization of laziness. Every month I have lunch with about 20 business leaders from WNY and not once has one of them said they were "successful enough" and weren't looking to expand their business. "successful enough" . There's a lot of corporations who are "successful enough" who are making tons of money in China. Should they be more "selective as a provider" and stop making money with chinese communists? Well guess what if the corporations believing they are "successful enough" and stop creating wealth you're going to see a plummet in the quality of life in America. Garbage pail in comparison? Buckets in comparison? And I didn't say it was a march towards Marxism, just that "successful enough" sounds like something a Marxist would say. My point was that if the drivers of the economy ever say that they're "successful enough" the GDP growth is going to plummet and unemployment is going to skyrocket.
