With who? Davis? Sheppard? Torbor? White?

Brother, if I had to watch Poz slowly take the wrong route or lose the WR over the middle I'd gag. He was not part of a solution in Buffalo, he's white / Polish & I'm cool with all that but his play wasn't near his rep.

If he is gone how does TSW feel about Nick Barnett taking his place?

He's damaged goods that can't play a full season anymore. No thanks.

I'll take my chances with Batten and Sheppard in the middle. Let the youth movement begin !!!!

I think most on this board want to get rid of any player who does not perform up to initial expectations. Just because Poz did not emerge into a Pro Bowl IB does not mean we should be excited about him leaving the team. Just because Whitner does not play like the 8th overall pick in the draft, doesn't mean he is trash. While Wilson may be able to replace Whitner adequately, we have no one on the roster able to play at Poz's level. For now I will give the bills the benefit of the doubt. Free agency is just one day old. If we lose good players without adding equal replacements when we are currently 38 million under the cap however, I will be pissed.

There are things to consider, and we can't keep total perspective here without knowing the details, and even still we don't know how it will ultimately pan out. But, there are scenarios where keeping Poz would be bad - if we way overpaid for him, or if we kept him at the expense of getting better at the position. If we lose Poz, it will only be a bad thing if we don't replace him with someone better - and, as far as I can tell, it looks like there will be some quality ILB's on the market this year. Already Barnett of Green Bay is gone, and it looks like San Diego will lose a couple, too. Tulluck, of Tennessee isn't bad, either. So, we shouldn't worry about it until it is over - and, in any event, as Sullivan said on 550 - if Kyle Williams is so great, and Donte Whitner is so good at run support, and Poz is considered such a good player to keep, who exactly is responsible for the Bill's absolutely terrible run D over the last few years?

I say, the Bills saw what he was capable of, what he was worth, and set a limit. They appear to really be wanting to get bigger on D, and more aggressive, which I'm all for.

A heartbreaking shame:

Per Jason LaCanfora

LB Paul Posluszny agrees to 6 year deal with the Jags. Bills fought hard to keep him. Hard for him to leave, but chance to play in a 4-3 Was a big factor for him. Was very difficult for him to leave Buffalo

yay! let's hang our season on unproven talent against the nfl's elite! that always works!

Yes. Because Poz was working WONDERS in Buffalo.

I mean the way he mauled those RBs and rushed those passers and caught those INTs and caused those fumbles? Geeez. THis guy is a STUD.

POZ IS GONE !!!!!!!!!! YESSSSSSS. Now let's start getting Batten and Sheppard ready for the season !!!:worthy::D

Poz can be replaced. You guys act like we're losing a Ray Lewis or Patrick Willis. Give me a break and cry me a river. :wallbash:

He is probably a lot better suited to play in Florida. I'd have to imagine there is an abundance of osteoporosis specialists down there with all the old people living in the state. Perhaps he'll find a good one to help him with his brittle bones.

If people really did not see this coming (going to another team), you are truly blind to the Bills organization. Once he hit the market, it was over and the Bills never had a chance. They will probably over-pay like you wouldn't believe for Florence now. If they do lose both, it would not be too shocking but I expect a HEAVY offer for Florence...

I'm not sure that I agree with that. He tore and ACL in 08 and played 16 games in 09. Last season a wrist injury.

Or a better pipeline to PED's from the Dominican Republic.

Veteran LB Paul Posluszny agreed to terms on a six-year deal with the Jaguars, a league source said Tuesday.

Posluszny had difficulty leaving the Bills, who fought hard to keep him, but the chance to move to a 4-3 defense and some opportunities the Jaguars provided led to his decision.
