donald trump

I've read from multiple sources on the internet, that donald trump is a bills fan. Find it hard to billieve, and more likely he maintains a friendship with jimbo for playing in his usfl. Anyways, now that he is not running for president any chance he puts in a bid to buy the bills and keep them in buffalo, just to prove what a smart business man he is. Imagine how much is ego would inflate if he ran a profitable and successful NFL franchise in Buffalo, which is NYs only team.

If he did buy the Bills I suspect he'd want to move them.

The Donald is all about making money, and keeping the Bills in Buffalo is not the smart move if a big motive of buying the team is making money.

I can't imagine he'd have much interest though. If he were looking for a sports team to buy I think he'd be more inclined for one in the NYC area.

I've been a big advocate of this theory for a while now. The Donald is supposedly a bills Fan. I've read in the past the he was quoted as saying that he roots for the only TRUE New York NFL team. Anyway, he and Jimbo do go back and it wouldn't surprise me in the slightest if he was one of the financial backers involved in Kelly's consortium.

Considering his background (and fondness for the Bills) I could see him being interested in a Casino/Staduim/convention center in the NY side of the falls. I would support this. However I think this would be a secondary motivation. Donald loves 2 things. Money and his ego. He would make money on the Bills, and his ego would be placated because he would be one of the few people in the world who own/part own an NFL team!

Not a chance. His comb-over wouldn't last 10 seconds in the winds at the Ralph. He wouldn't risk the embarrassment. No way the Donald would buy the Bills... unless he can build a dome.

Donald isn't exactly shy about sharing his intentions. Has he done anything to indicate that he wants to be involved in a professional sports franchise?

You know, there is a very rich man who has a connection to Buffalo, hits the town every once in awhile, seems to know what's going on. That would be Warren Buffett. Now, he's pretty old himself. But in any discussion about how to handle Wilson's estate, or who to sell the Bills to, I have to believe he'd be a great guy to have on the team. And it would be in his own self-interest to assist in keeping the Bills in Buffalo as that scenario can't be good for the value of The Buffalo News.

Lots of things. He has been wanting an NFL team for awhile. He has owned a professional football team back in that other nfl league that went out of business back in the day. Him just owning a professional sports team in the past should indicate that.

Warren Buffet has been on the record as wanting nothing to do with pro sports. I believe he described owning a sports franchise as an incredible waste of money.

I could see him buying the bills, but I do not see him keeping them in Buffalo. He has properties in a lot of places which would love to have the bills and could place them in places which would be located near to his other ventures. I don't think a Trump purchase would be at all good for Buffalo.

Oh, God save us. IMHO he would be the worst owner seen in Buffalo since John Y. Brown.

Can't get any worse than it is now. Trump is a businessman true, but he also is one who likes to succeed and not just make money. Our ownership hasn't felt that way for a long, long time. Personally I would love to see Mark Cuban take over, he does anything within his capabilities to try to put a winner on the field.

Donald Trump is not a Bills fan, or a Giants fan or a fan of any team. Donald Trump is a fan of:

1) Donald Trump

2) Publicity/attention for Donald Trump

3) Money for Donald Trump

4) Hot young blondes for Donald Trump

Didn't say anything about him buying the team (he's only a step or two behind Ralph in the soft parade). But he could be very useful in facilitating a sale. At the very least, his involvement would definitely elevate things to a higher level than, for example, Jim Kelly's "I got some guys" approach.

Sounds like just what The BuffTown needs, actually...someone like 'The Donald' to come barging in like the proverbial 'bull in a china shop', weasel some long-dormant prime waterfront land (that would otherwise remain dormant for another 50 years) away from the NFTA, and get a bunch of out-of-State investors to finance our new dome!

(And he can borrow Jimmy Johnson's hairspray 'til the dome is finished.)

You mean like owning a pro football team in the past, or signing some guy named Doug Flutie and some other bloke named Jim Kelly to his team?

I'm not sure
