Tim Tebow ESPN Documentary

Anyone see this tonight? I thought it was really good.

On draft day, Tebow's agent had the teams most interested in Tim highlighted. Buffalo was one of them. He said "Buffalo has been changing their minds everyday for the last two weeks" or something of that nature. Seems like we had a real debate over whether to pick Tim. Nothing groundbreaking, but it was interesting to hear after the fact.

well worth the watch if they re-run it.

I think he said Denver was the clear favorite to draft him and Buffalo was second, which turned out to be right. FWIW the Pats* were also highlighted.

I thought the most interesting thing was the trade talk. He said that Denver had contacted every team picking from 22-28 discussing trade up possibilities the week before the draft. He also said that Denvers plan was to trade back from 11 and/or up from their 2nd rounder for Tebow - and both cases ended up happening. That makes me think teams know what is gonna be available way before the actualy day of. If Nix has a plan to trade back then it CAN be done. Please no more of this "but you need a trade partner" BS. The Pats do it every year and Denver did exactly what they wanted.

Man i loved the documentary. Being in Ocala (25 mins from Gainesville) and being a Gator fan i would have loved to have him on the Bills. After you watch this you can't help but WANT a kid on your team who has his mindset, trains as hard as he does, and doesn't let outside things phase him. I think he is gonna be a good one.

It was 'TV worth watching'. All in all, the show made a fool of McShay who repeatedly publically slammed Tim and proclaimed him 3rd round material. 'Shows' what he knows.. Had he been remotely accurate, Tebow probably wouldn't have gotten past our 2nd round pick.

Also a Gator fan, I wish Tebow all the best!

Coulda shoulda. TT is going to be a marginal player who lasts a few seasons and then crashes down in a haze of cliches.

Missed it. I wanted to see the part where he walks on water.

He's better than most people because he's on the inside with the Jesus

Uh, didn't the Broncos draft him in the 1st? (ie, he didn't get past our 2nd round pick)

Oh, c'mon. We B word about character and players too dumb not to buy stolen computers and hang with gang bangers/bring guns into nightclubs and so forth.

Then you have a kid with character and moral convictions and we slam that too.

Make up your mind

We are equal opportunity slammers.

Tim's agent said the Bills contacted him TEN TIMES the week of the draft saying they may draft a QB in the first or second round. But he also said they kept changing their mind.

NO DOUBT in my mind if Tebow slips to the Bills 2nd round pick, they take him. No way in hell was Buddy giving up a first round pick for him.

And also a Buddy Nix sighting at Tebow's pro day!

There is no duplicity here. I was always tired of hearing about St. Tebow. Cam Newton(sic), another piece of manure that is being lionized.

Do you think that Tebow's agent is allowed to tell Denver which teams have expressed interest in Tebow so Denver knows how far back they can afford to trade down and still bank on getting him? That's what I wondering.

I watched it and thought it was excellent. I like how they always threw in McShay running him into the ground. Tebow is a grounded, humble, but yet driven young man. I hope the best for him in his NFL career and that he has success to the highest attainable level, as long as it is not at the Bills' expense.

I agree with you that he is the type of person you would be proud to have on your team. A lot of people are uncomfortable with his religiosity. I'm not. He is very comfortable with who he is and what he stands for. There is nothing false about him.

Yes, there are doubts about him as a NFL qb because of his unconventional throwing motion. But what everyone knows you are going to get from him is maximum preparation and leadership. There are plenty of qbs who might have better passing skills but don't come close to matching him in an ability to lead a team. Whatever deficiencies Tebow has as a passer he will work like a demon to upgrade and will be successful.
