Realist
I would hope for Shane Matthews or Redman. I doubt very much that RJ comes back to Buffalo. Even if he was offered, I don't think he would want to.
sfladave
Well since Brian Geise was let go by the fish before the OTAs even started I wouldn't put much into what these guys are saying.

LabattBlue
Bringing back RJ would rank among the most unpopular decisions the franchise has ever made. The ESPN talking heads that brought up his name are blowing smoke and not even giving any thought to the words coming out of their mouths.
/dev/null
Rob Johnson. No way in hell. He won't want to come here and the fans would boo him every chance they got Brian Griese. Already cut by Miami, now with the Bucs. Would make an interesting tandem with Drew. One likes to stage dive, the other likes to do a drunken poodle hurdle Neil O'Donnel. From what I've heard he only wants to go to a team in contention later in the season. Waaaaaa what a baby Chris Redman. The best available QB imo. However he's gotten it in his head that he should be a starter. I looked up info on him and ran across his website, chrisredman.org or something like that. Seems abit bitter about his experience in Baltimore Ray Lucas. My first reaction was "oh hell no". But considering who else is out there and that he's better than a healthy Travis Brown, he may be a viable option

Buffaloed in Pa
I`d have to take the Greaseball ,Greise..I think he`d like to have a shot at the Fish..doesn`t have a big arm ,but I don`t think we`re going to throw a lot of deep ball`s with this line or O
Bear
I think Odonell would be perfect. A veteren who won't have a lot of trouble learning the playbook. Someone who can come in and not lose the game for us. Also, after being handed around the league for a while, he won't have any delusions about his place on the team. Rayzer32
Seeing how RJ got rag-dolled play after play behind pretty much the same o-line we have now, he would have to be somewhat retarded to try it again. Scratch that, more retarded than he already is. He would be safer playing Russian Roulette.

Rico
I saw Redman play here in Baltimore, he's brutally awful... makes Travis Brown look good by comparison. Pete
How ironic would it be if Drew got hurt and RJ led us to a Superbowl. That would be the most maligned Bill of all time replacing the most enabled sacred cow ever

Pete
yes ironic since Rob Johnson was the last sacred cow on the wall and his fans have attacked every QB who came to Buffalo since. RJ had fans? Hmm all I heard was cheers when he was being carted off the field.
Buftex
RJ had fans? Hmm all I heard was cheers when he was being carted off the field. 11370[/snapback] Actually, from a PR standpoint, RJ makes a lot of sense. Just think, all the nasty, childish bitching about Bledsoe could be diverted to his predecessor as whipping boy, Rob Johnson. Jeesh, at least RJ went out and earned that spot on the roster! It would be the one case in Bills history where everyone would know that the back-up was not better than the #1 guy....
BB2004
Giving Rob Johnson another chance is ludicrus. That would be way to much for the die-hard fans. It would also show that Tom Donahoe isn't learning the GM job for the Buffalo Bills. If they needed someone right away, Neil O'Donell might be the guy. BuffaloBob
I am in no way advocating an RJ return, but I sure would have liked to see him start out in Buffalo with an offense like we have now and a QB coach like Wyche giving him alram clock therapy. It would not have been easy to cure him of his hanging on too long, but I sure would have liked to see Wyche try.

CoachChuckDickerson
I think that we can safely rule out Neil Odonell from the equation. Would you come out of retirement to play behind an offensive line that has had 2 QBs injured before the regular season even started. Probably not. Guest Guest
What about Akili Smith? I know the guy sucked, but he was drafted #3 overall and was with a stevestojantty Cinci team (pre Marvin lewis). Maybe he has a chance to be rehabilitated?
LabattBlue
Green Bay already tried "fixing" Akili and failed. Now it sounds like the Tim Couch experiment is also about to end in Green Bay. Looks like Favre will have to keep playing for a few more years.
