Wow, Vince Young is awful
Jerry Jabber replied to DallasBillsFan1's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
He looked more consistent tonight. The bomb he had to Graham was very nice. -
The Minnesota feed is bad. These guys really suck!!
-
I agree. Guys like Sheppard and A. Williams really need all the work they can get, because they did not look good tonight.
-
Great drive by VY & the 2nd stringers!
-
I was glad to see the Bills starting D get a couple of sacks, and good pressure on the QB, but they still have some work to do.
-
Sweet pass!!! Best play so far of the preseason! Great job VY & Graham!
-
I agree, Williams should have been able to swat that ball away on the deep pass.
-
The Bills offense still has a ways to go to get ready for the season opener.
-
Nice play by Jones, and a great block by Chandler!!

Bills could challenge for Division
Jerry Jabber replied to Jerry Jabber's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Reading comprehension is a good thing, it's obvious you don't have any, because after I stated about Brady having sub-par talent around him, you went on to talk about the Pats defense and how many sacks they had in 2006. As I stated previously, I am not a pats fan, but I respect the talent Brady has. IMO, the greatest QB of all time is Joe Montana. Otherwise, keep rambling on incoherently, just like another troll on here [paint my house]. -

Jimmy Johnson admitted it happened in the NFL from other teams. But hey, innocent until proven guilty...right?! Since the Saints got caught with the bounty scandal, guess they were the only team to ever have a bounty program too? (cough...cough...Redskins...Bills) -

Here's what I wrote: "In 2006, the Pats went to the AFC Championship game, and lost a very close game to the Colts. The Pats 2 top WR's were Troy Brown, and Reche Caldwell (not exactly top of the line WR's). So Brady has shown he can get the job done, even with sub-par talent around him." Where did I say the Patriots overall had sub-par talent? I said Brown & Caldwell were sub-par, which was in rebuttal to your argument about Manning & Favre. Anything else you want to twist around? -

Stats don't lie. Yes, they were caught cheating, but you mean to tell me they were the only team in the NFL to be doing that? Eric Mangini knew about it from his time in NE, so he decided to blow the Pats in for it. As far as getting favorable calls from the refs, it just doesn't happen to Brady, it happens to the players and teams that the NFL wants to win (see the Steelers/Seahawks Superbowl). I'll give Manning a ton of credit as well, he is an offensive coordinator when he is on the field. But, he's had some great talent on his teams, and only won 1 superbowl (Harrison, Wayne, Clark, E. James, just to name a few). In Manning's first few years in the league, he couldn't win a playoff game. The key to beating any QB is constant pressure. It doesn't matter if it's Brady, the Manning bros, Brees, Rodgers or any top QB. I would love to see Tommy Boy take a pounding from our D-line this year, and the Bills sweep the division by going 6-0 (now is that going to happen...probably not, but it would be great to see). -

Your opinion is dead wrong. First off, I'm not a Brady fan, but I respect what he does. Brady went to 5 Superbowls and won 3 of them. Right now, that's better than Favre, Manning and any other modern day QB. In 2006, the Pats went to the AFC Championship game, and lost a very close game to the Colts. The Pats 2 top WR's were Troy Brown, and Reche Caldwell (not exactly top of the line WR's). So Brady has shown he can get the job done, even with sub-par talent around him. When the Pats went 11-5 when Brady went out, the Pats were 16-0 the year prior, something no team has done in the modern era. I'm not trying to discount anyone here, but they still had a great team from the year before. Last season, Brady broke Marino's single season passing record, with 5,235 yards, something Manning and Favre have not done. Brady beat Manning's single season TD record with 50 TD's. Also, Favre was an interception machine, something that Brady is not. Manning did not fare well against the Chargers or Pats for most of the last decade. Favre's interceptions cost the Packers multiple trips to the Superbowl, and the Vikings a trip as well. -

Bills could challenge for Division

There's no question Brady is better than Fitz. IMO, Brady is the best modern day player, and could be the best QB to ever play the game. The Pats have a great trio of Gronk, Hernandez & Welker and I consider them better than the Bills trio of Johnson, Chandler & Nelson, but our receiving trio is pretty good. Our RB's, Jackson & Spiller are much better than anyone the Pats have. On paper, the Bills D looks much better than the Pats D. Defense wins championships, ask the Pats how they did against the Giants twice in the Superbowl. -

Mainly because our defense has sucked since Pat Williams wasn't resigned (granted, he wasn't the only reason, but it started going downhill from there). With a new and proven DC [Wannstedt], compared to George Edwards (who was in way over his head), plus the D-line additions, I expect the next meeting with our division rivals to be much different (and in the Bills favor). -
Finally, someone in the media is giving the Bills a chance in the AFC East: http://www.buffalobills.com/news/article-2/Steve-Wyche-Bills-Could-Challenge-for-Division/4d1257c6-229c-4527-9bf0-10662547b09a "Going in to this Bills season, expectations seem to be higher than ever around Western New York. Apparently the same can be said around the league, and NFL Network's Steve Wyche is leading his own charge. When appearing on The John Murphy Show, Wyche (the host of NFL AM) admitted that he's a huge fan of Chan Gailey's and if Ryan Fitzpatrick can cut down on the gun-slinging then Buffalo has a very good chance to push New England for the divisional crown. He also believes that since we have a front four wih six starters the Bills defense will be a force to be reckoned with."

If you could go back in time and watch any Bills game live
Jerry Jabber replied to major's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
The 1991 AFC Championship game vs the Raiders. Unfortunately, the loser I was hanging out with at the time invited me over his house to watch the game, then he wanted to whine & cry about how his girlfriend broke his heart... What a f@!king loser this douchebag was. Besides the loser I was hanging out with and missing most of the game because of his B.S., I would have loved to have seen the utter domination of the Raiders that day, which propelled the Bills to their first Superbowl. -
Lee Evans was a one-trick pony, a deep threat. Guys like him & Peerless Price excelled because of their speed. But, once they started losing their speed, it was downhill quick. It's a shame because I liked both players. I loved the year when both Price & Moulds had over 1200 receiving yards each, that was great and I've been wanting to see another WR duo do that again in Buffalo. Evans had 2 great seasons with Buffalo, one season he had over 1,200 yards receiving, and another with over 1,000. Evans has regressed since, and the Bills made the right choice by trading him. It's over with now, and it's time to move on.

Marcus Easley....the new James Hardy
Jerry Jabber replied to K-Gun10's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
In regards to the amount of dropped passes, I compare him to Josh Reed as Reed had a ton of dropped passes in his first four seasons as a Bill. Easley is a big, physical WR, but he hasn't been able to stay healthy, and has been too inconsistent. -
From what I've been reading from camp, Asper is constantly getting yelled at by the O-line coach, and doesn't look good so far. Was Jasper doing worse than him?

I agree that you have to be a moron to get into a fight at a sporting event...period. But, with being an out of town fan, I know from personal experience that some "hometown a-holes" are the one's starting the problems. I've seen fights at the Verizon center in DC between Caps & Sabres fans. Also, I had an A-hole try to run me off the road after Game 2 of the Eastern Conference Finals in 1998 when he saw my Sabres jersey. It's one thing to give an opposing fan a hard time about their team, but some retards take it way too far.
