  1. I agree. Wannstedt had to have known that the Jets were going to throw a lot of sideline & short passes, as well as having Sanchez take 3 step drops to counter the Bills defensive front 4, but yet Wannstedt did nothing to stop it. No stunts, no blitzes, and there looked like there was no halftime adjustments.
  2. Anyway you look at it, the DB's were absolutely terrible!!!
  3. I agree. Enough of not wanting to give up draft picks, trade up and get a real franchise QB. The Bills have not had a franchise QB since Jim Kelly, and he last played in January 1997.
  4. One thing I noticed a lot yesterday was that a big reason why the Jets WR's were able to get a lot of separation from our DB's was that they were physically dominating our DB's at the line of scrimmage. I don't know how many times I saw a Jets WR pound our DB's at the line of scrimmage and were easily able to gain separation. I know we have young DB's in Williams & Gilmore, but with having a supposedly proven DC in Wannstedt, I can't believe Wannstedt didn't get the DB's ready for that.
  5. I was on my first enlistment in the Marines, stationed at Quantico.
  6. You nailed it right on the head. The Chargers have been getting progressively worse since Marty was fired.
  7. Plax has the same height as Nelson and is a good red zone target. Why not sign him for a year?
  8. That's a huge loss. IMO, the FO should sign a veteran FA (like Burress or Branch).
  9. Moorman played good when he faced competition [Powell} in preseason/training camp. Now that Powell is gone, there's no pressure on Moorman.
  10. Loved this: "Unless Fitz suddenly prays to Jesus, Buddha, The Fonz, Chick Fil A, or whatever it is he worships" That's awesome!!! I agree with everything you said. The faster Boss Hogg & Cooter realize that Fitzpathetic is not the answer, the better the team will be. Sucks to be having this conversation already after Week 1.
  11. I'm starting to agree. I thought QB Coach David Lee Roth was suppose to help make him into a better QB by working on his mechanics? If DLR is such a great QB coach, then Boos Hogg [Nix] & Cooter [Gailey] can give Fitzpathetic the axe at the end of the season, draft a franchise QB and have Cooter & DLR develop the new guy.
  12. Look at it anyway you want. Anytime you turn the ball over, you're giving your opposition an opportunity, and the Jets capitalized on those opportunities. Punting to the middle of the field is just plain stupid. Moorman is considered to be a great punter, Dehaven is supposed to be a great Special Teams coach. Why didn't DeHaven have Moorman angle the punt towards the sideline? Sorry, but I disagree, bad decisions and poor tackling led to the Bills giving the Jets 7 points on that punt return.
  13. At this point, anyone of us would take Marty's playoff record, especially after how bad the Bills have sucked over the last 12 years.
  14. Not blaimg the refs, just said it was a questionable call. 4 turnovers by the offense is inexcuable!! Most of the team & especially the coaches were incompetent yesterday. Trust me, I'm getting tired of this crap.
  15. I'm not making excuses, but from the replay it never looked like Spiller had full possession of the ball. Either way, Spiller needs to do a better job at ball security.
  16. Great article! Thanks for posting it!
  17. The Bills in essence gave the Jets 31 points yesterday. The offense had 4 turnovers: Fitz's threw 3 INT's, and Spiller had a questionable fumble. 3 of the 4 offensive turnovers put the Bills defense in bad positions on the field, and the Jets offense was able to capitalize and score 17 points. The 4th offensive turnover, which was Fitz's 3rd INT, was a very bad INT on Fitz's part in which the Jets D took in for a pick six. Special Teams gave up a 68 yard punt return for a TD. Let's face it, the coaches and the players (offense, defense & special teams) blew it big time yesterday. When a team gives their opposition 31 points, the chances of winning are slim and none (with slim leaving town).
  18. I really wanted Marty for the job, but Boss Hogg hired Cooter instead. I would love to have Marty as the Bills HC. While Marty gets bashed for his playoff record, he has never had the longevity with a team like Cowher did. Cowher is considered a great coach because he won a Superbowl, but it took him almost 15 years to do it.
  19. Wannstunk had to know that the Jets were going to use 3 step drops & short passes to counter the Bills pass rush. What blows my mind is that I barely saw any stunts or blitzes on the Bills part.
  20. The Bills in essence gave the Jets 31 points yesterday. The offense had 4 turnovers (Fitz's 3 INT's to include one that was returned for a pick six), which led to the Jets scoring 24 points. Fitz's INT's put the defense in bad field positions. Special Teams gave up a punt return for a TD. While the secondary was atrocious, Fitzpathetic was equally atrocious. Let's face it, the coaches and the players (offense, defense & special teams) blew it big time yesterday.
  21. I agree 100% Our secondary was beaten early, often & badly. McKelvin needs to go. A. Williams has not developed yet and continues to struggle, and Gilmore is not ready either.
  22. From my observations of the preseason games and today, it seems that the Bills have a solid defensive front 4, but the rest of the D is not up to par. McKelvin was beaten early and often. Aaron Williams is a young player and continues to struggle. Gilmore is not ready. With the front 4 being solid, teams have been able to pick apart the rest of the D with screens, sideline passes and a lot of short passes. Is it a lack of talent? Play calling by Wannstedt? Or players needing time to develop and get used to the new defensive system?
  23. We know who the geniuses were today: Ryan & Sparano
  24. I need to take your word for it more often, especially since you're an Iron Maiden fan!
