  1. As a marketing guy, Brandon has done a great job. But in hiring competent personnel to run the team, he gets a big "F"!
  2. When you're missing some very key ingredients, such as QB, Head Coach and Defensive Coordinator, then it's hard to build a winning team. Brandon will be in damage control, once again this offseason. The best way for Brandon to fix this mess is to clean house, and hire a competent GM, such as Polian to put a winning product back on the field.
  3. Another year, another disappointing losing season without making the playoffs. All the offseason hype of bringing in Mario Williams and Mark Anderson to help revamp the Bills porous pass rush failed to pay off. The Bills are currently 5-10 and in 4th in the AFC East. A loss today against division rivals, the New York Jets, would put Chan Gailey's three year record with the Bills at 15-33. So now comes the million dollar question, what batch of kool-aid will Bills CEO Russ Brandon whip up in the offseason? Will it be firing Bills HC Chan Gailey and/or Bills GM Buddy Nix. While that would be a good start, that would not be nearly enough to have fans buying tickets next season. The last time there was a GM search, no one knew about it until after it was over with, when Buddy Nix was promoted to GM. And coaching search, Nix claimed that the phone was ringing off the hook from people that wanted the job, but yet he hired Chan Gailey, an offensive coordinator that was fired from Kansas City 10 days before the start of the season. So much for offering up to $10 million a season to bring in a good coach. With that in mind, will Brandon tell us fans that he will do an extensive search for a GM and coach? I think the $10 million a year on a coach kool-aid is very watered down and flavorless now. Will Brandon pick up another high profile free agent player? We saw the Terrell Owens kool-aid have success with putting butts in seats, but did not produce results on the field. The Mario Williams kool-aid had the exact same effect as the T.O. kool-aid did. Brandon knows Ryan Fitzpatrick is not the answer, and ticket sales will plummet if Ryan Fitzpatrick is still the starting QB come the start of the 2013 season. Will Brandon try and trade for another teams backup who could possibly become the franchise QB we've been looking for. The music from the shower scene of "Psycho" just suddenly popped in my head, as I shrieked in horror thinking back to the Rob Johnson/Jaguars trade. NOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!! Brandon knows the Bills need a QB and will have to address the position in the draft. But, there's one problem, this year's draft class is considered "weak" amongst NFL experts, so the time to draft a QB was actually last year. If the Bills draft a QB in the first or second round and this QB doesn't work, then just tack on another 3-5 years of missing the playoffs. Could the Bill Polian kool-aid work it's magic? Ah-hah, we could be onto something here. If Buddy Nix gets fired this week, this could be an opening for the Bills to bring back Bill Polian, the architect of the Bills Super Bowl teams of the 1990's. Whether or not this comes to fruition, this could be a batch of kool-aid that thousands of Bills fans could be lining up to drink. Could the transfer of ownership to Jim Kelly and Thurman Thomas be another batch of kool-aid fans would be lining in in drones to buy? Absolutely!! While the transfer of ownership has been a rumor lately, seeing is believing. To say the Bills fan base is tired and frustrated would be a huge understatement. 13 years of missing the playoffs and eight years since the Bills last winning season has even the most die-hard Bills fans on edge. One thing is for sure, Russ Brandon is going to have to whip up a big, potent batch of kool-aid this offseason in order to get fans back on board for the 2013 season.
  4. Nix said QB of the future, not a has-been from the past. Vick's better days are behind him, and he's too beat up to continue playing. One more concussion and he'll be toast.
  5. Here's the article mentioning Gailey getting fired next week: http://nflspinzone.c...iley-next-week/
  6. Forgot about him, maybe because his performance on the field this year (as well as most of the team) has been forgettable!!
  7. Hardy & SJ were the last WR's drafted, and that was back in 2008. The offense needs some good players, mainly at QB & WR. I don't want to see anymore picks on RB's or the first round pick on a CB.
  8. While the Bills have some decent options at WR, none of them are considered elite or very good. The Bills need a true #1 WR that is either very good or elite, to go along with a very good QB.
  9. It still blows my mind that Marty Schottenheimer wasn't even considered after Jauron was fired. Marty loves the run game, and would be perfect for the Bills considering they have a great 1-2 punch with Spiller & Jackson.
  10. I agree. My real wish is Nix gets fired, and Ralph brings back Bill Polian.
  11. From twitter: "Jeff Russo ‏@JeffRussoWKBWBuddy Nix, through a #Bills spokesperson, will continue to wait until after the season to discuss future plans on coaches etc.."So Nix is no longer saying Gailey's job is safe, and will wait until after the season is over with to discuss future plans on coaches. Sounds like we might get our wish after all.
  12. After today's debacle, I'm not wasting another $300 plus on the Sunday ticket to watch this team anymore. 13 years of missing the playoffs, 8 years since our last winning season, and we still look like a bottom feeder. I don't know what batch of kool-aid Russ Brandon and Buddy Nix will brew in the offseason, but I'm done drinking it. I'm just wondering, as fans, what did we do to deserve such harsh punishment?
  13. Just because Boss Hogg [Nix] says if they're gonna move up in the draft to get a QB, it doesn't necessarily mean it will happen with in the first round. If Boss Hogg can draft a WR-QB combo like they did in Cincinnati, then that would be great. The main thing is Boss Hogg can't draft another bust like Losman & Edwards, otherwise it will set the Bills back many years...again. After 13 years of missing the playoffs, patience is beyond worn thin with this organization.
  14. If the Defense doesn't continue to show improvement next season, then IMO Wanny should be fired at the end of next year.
  15. The defensive improvements have been offset by the offense's regressions. The Bills defense currently ranks 21st, and has the possibly of finishing the season in the top 20. Here's how many points the defense has given up recently: 15 (Rams), 18 (Jags), 13 (Colts, 7 points were from Special Teams), 14 Dolphins. When your defense holds your opponent to 20 points or under, that should be more than enough to get the win. If the Bills D gets into the Top 20, then I feel Wannstedt should be kept, but on a short leash. I would rather see Gailey fired, because of his indecision's and game time management, but if Nix decided that Gailey should be removed from his offensive play calling duties, if they were to decide to bring in Norv Turner or someone that is a competent offensive coordinator, then I would be fine with that. I don't want to see the Pitbull come from the Eagles as our QB, but then again, I don't want to see Fitz back either.
  16. My wish list for the Bills: The Bills lose out and finish 5-11 Ralph gets so infuriated, he fires everyone from Buddy Nix on down. Ralph decides to have one more shot at the glory years by rehiring Bill Polian (even if it means bringing Polian's dufus son to the team) Within the next 2 years, Polian makes some draft day deals and gets the franchise QB we've been looking for since Jim Kelly retired Within the next 3 years, the Bills overtake the Pats as the AFC East champs, as we start to see home playoff games once again in Buffalo Within the next 5 years, the Bills make it back to the Superbowl and win it this time. Please Santa Claus, make these wishes come true. Being a Bills fan has been very painful, so it would be nice to have some joy again!
  17. If Gailey is brought back, he should have his play calling duties removed. Norv Turner would be a good replacement as an offensive coordinator (not HC!)
  18. A few of weeks ago, Buddy Nix stated that Chan Gailey's job was safe, and that switching Head Coaches every three years sets an organization back. Does Nix still feel the same way, especially after loses to the Colts & the Rams? If Gailey & Fitz are back in their respective roles next season, then good luck filling up Ralph Wilson stadium next year. This is fitting for the current situation:
  19. A competent HC would be a good start!
  20. Thanks 3rdand12. Good points as well! Agree 100%
  21. I liked Jasper too. Jasper busted his butt to lose a ton of weight in a short time. IMO, Jasper should have been on our practice squad again this past year.
