lol, it doesn’t prevent one of their 12 1st rnd graded players being available at 21

This is my favourite dream scenario I’ve seen here so far
-
That’s wild, I’m not sure if I’m more impressed with the athleticism of a man that big or his willingness to chase a skill player down from behind 35 yards beyond the LOS.
-
I’ll be watching the Leafs go up 3-0 on Ottawa, I’ll flip back and forth when possible and I’ll be checking in here of course to follow the meltdown lol.
-
I fast forwarded to the 3 Bills picks, first off I gotta say if the Bills land these players in the first two rounds I’m going six to midnight in a hurry, I thought your reasoning around those selections was spot on. I have to admit I was ready to be a turd in the punch bowl, but after listening to you guys, you both sounded knowledgeable, comfortable and had some chemistry and came across with the humility I wasn’t expecting. Excellent job gentleman.

My immediate reaction is hell yes, but other than giving up capital and eventually paying him, is there something about the player that could keep teams from inquiring ?

Who on this board would you choose to make our draft picks?

Not a single poster lol, some quality fans here though -
I remember being a kid and getting a chocolate bunny, it was great. Now my grandkids are lavished with clothes, toys and chocolate. Times do indeed change lol.

Miami Herald: Dolphins players have turned on McDaniel

No no no no… he’s doing a great job, please baby Jesus allow this offensive genius another 10 years of employment in south beach. -
Dolphins & Jalen Ramsey exploring trade options
julian replied to Kirby Jackson's topic in The Stadium Wall
The Patriots season completely rides on the ascension of their 2nd year QB, if he continues to develop then the Patriots will compete for 2nd in the division, nobody knows how it will unfold. -
I understand where you’re coming from, I’ll just push back slightly and say JJ Watt’s play style is a very small part of the reason the team never wins anything, 5-10 reasons before I get to Watt.

Wow… the more you dig down on his accomplishments, numbers and records, the more you understand why he truly is the only unarguable GOAT in North American professional team sport. One can argue maybe if Mario or Orr didn’t have shortened careers they had a legit shot at the GOAT title but those are what ifs.
-
The numbers are absurd, my favourite record is 50 goals in 39 games lol. Lemieux was the only player who had a legit shot at all Gretzky’s records if not for a bad back and cancer, he was amazing.
-
Yes please
-
He’s not the most talented goal scorer the NHL has ever seen, he just passed a guy(Gretzky) who openly admitted to not being close to the most talented goal scorers. Ovi has like 120 more power play goals than Gretzky, one timers on a goalie sliding from side to side with a man advantage. Ovi is a more talented goal scorer than Gretzky, even 99 would openly admitted to that, but there’s other NHL players you’re taking in a shootout before Ovi, can you argue he has the most dangerous one timer ? Absolutely
-
While I agree pace needs context, comparing Matthews 8 year track record of goal scoring to Cook’s single year isn’t a great comparison.
-
Ovi isn’t the greatest goal scorer of all time, he was able to score a lot of goals for a very long time, he’s proven to be the most consistent goal scorer over a long time. It’s an amazing accomplishment but there’s been more skilled goal scorers, even Gretzky recognized many players who were more skilled goal scorers than himself while he was playing. Heck, Auston Matthews is on pace to break 894 goals in 9 years and be only 36yrs old compared to Ovi doing it at 39yrs of age.

If Maye takes a big year 2 jump they have a chance, but it’s Miami right now.

Bills halt contract negotiations with Cook
julian replied to Returntoglory's topic in The Stadium Wall
I agree with all that, I’m on record for wanting a Cook trade last off season, I’m no fan of paying RBs. If Cook doesn’t get paid it will be because of position value and talent level, Not because he’s being disgruntled. -

Players with piss poor attitudes get paid by other teams, there’s always a team willing to take a chance that a scenery change is all that’s needed… just ask Diggs and the Patriots. -
Bills halt contract negotiations with Cook
julian replied to Returntoglory's topic in The Stadium Wall
Depends on Cook’s attitude towards playing for the Bills this year on his current contract, if he can keep his head down and continue to be a positive vibe in the locker room and good teammate like he has up until this point, then you let him play it out and collect a 3rd round compensatory pick next year when he walks. If Cook decides to be a douche bag, then get him outta town for whatever you can get and just keep on moving. -
Raiders extend Geno Smith, 2 years - $75 million
julian replied to ChevyVanMiller's topic in The Stadium Wall
Sure, but the Raiders aren’t unique in needing to make the playoffs or having a desire for respectability. What is unique is hiring a 70 year old HC as you described and paying a journeyman at QB like the world is going to end in 2027. Sad to watch such a storied franchise so lost for so long. -

That’s crazy, but I think your 100% correct and I’m glad to be about as far away from that type of team building as one could possibly be. -
Dominating this division is made easy by the Jets and Dolphins, as long as the kid at QB in NE doesn’t become great, Bills will win this division for the next 8 years barring injury to QB17.
