  1. It's just hard to carry that level of intensity and focus through a long 17 game season week in and week out and be at your best. KC deals with that a lot as well...they play a lot of close games against inferior opponents...the games are close but most of the time you still think the other team would have to do something extraordinary to win tho. I imagine that is how most of the Bills games feel for opposing fans. They might be close, or tied, or even ahead, but you know it's only a matter of time and you are trying to hold off a 50 foot wave that is incoming.
  2. It's not about evening it up. The schedule follows a set pattern for home/road games. There isn't really much to decide.
  3. Yeah, that was just based on the records of the opponents, not including any of the other stuff.
  4. Bills played the 4th toughest schedule in the NFL this year based on SOS. Cardinals, Falcons and Ravens were the 3 ahead of the Bills. Only the Ravens made the playoffs.
  5. Partially...the issue in the NFL, unlike other sports is that every team doesn't play every other team, so you need some way to try and normalize things to make up for the fact that teams play relatively tougher or easier schedules than other teams.
  6. 1st in DVOA, 1st in PFR's SRS(Simple Rating System) and 1st in ESPN FPI. Yeah they are pretty f**king good.
  7. Uhh...no. The Bills controlled their own destiny for the 1 seed. If they would have won in Cincy, they would have been the 1 seed due to head to head victory over KC.
  8. Assuredly not. The deals can be structured in a way that promotes maximum cap flexibility while also protecting the team against the ever rising QB costs year over year.
  9. KC only lost the possibility of hosting versus the Bills. If it's any other team, they are hosting it(if they make it).
  10. DVOA is not subjective. It's objective, which is what is needed since teams don't play all the other teams. Gives a baseline across the NFL to help quiet any easy/harder scheduling biases that arise. They are also #1 in PFR's SRS rating system which attempts to do the same thing, including the #1 offense in the NFL and #3 on defense. https://www.pro-football-reference.com/years/2022/ Won't let me post an image, which is an increasingly annoying issue on this site recently...seemingly randomly decides when you can post screenshots in threads. Also are #1 in ESPN FPI including #2 offense and #7 defense and #1 ST https://www.espn.com/nfl/fpi So regardless of what we want to say about the offense...they are pretty f**king good.
  11. Pretty much...double digit leads in the second half of the Jets and Vikings losses and a lead midway through the 4th in the Fins loss. The only team that has beaten the Bills this year has been the Bills.
  12. The word on the street was the Kingsbury was hoping he got canned going back 5 or 6 weeks...said the relationship between him and Murray was "cordial" and not what you'd expect between your coach and the QB he coached in college and brought to the NFL and that it had broken down beyond repair. Can't imagine he was giving full effort coaching during the week for a good part of the year...Rex style in his last year here where he'd be gone quickly at the end of the day.
  13. Wow...things have really headed up for her once she dumped Croom 😂
  14. The question is: Are their 3 doctors willing to put their careers on the line for Tua? I'm not sure. Maybe. But it is becomingly increasingly difficult to find doctors that are going to clear him I bet.
  15. Looks like another year of tough schedules for the Bills.
  16. He is out a lot and even when he is in disappears for entire quarters, games and sometimes multiple games. I meant after he catches the ball his YAC ability is like Robert Woods...not that he runs routes like Woods. Huh? Shakir runs a 4.43 40...by any definition that is fast.
  17. They lost to both teams already this year. They will lose to either one again if they face them. Esepcially with Bills at a neutral site.
  18. The assumption was Bridgewater is playing which is the -10 opening line. It's since gone more towards the Bills because I don't think anyone would expect Bridgewater to beat the Bills. Realistically their only shot, and not a good one at that, is if Tua plays. From what I saw on one site point spreads would be: Tua -7 Bridgewater -10 Thompson -14
  19. Hyde was a huge loss for us. Obvious he was the deep center fielder that took lots of plays away and forced throws into tight windows.
  20. Nope that one counted...one catch 28 yards for him and Allen gave him the thumbs up afterwards for the way he ran that route. He definitely has that Robert Woods feel to him where he is more like an RB in the open field. Was really good in the Steeler game on that one catch and run down the sidelines as well. That would have been a nice easy matchup...if the Fins lost we would have played the Steelers next week.
  21. Josh looks best hitting the 15-25 yard intermediate throws. He can be deadly with them. That throw to Diggs from the opposite hash almost 60 yards in the air was just insane. The Pats message board basically were even saying that throw was amazing and there was no way to defend that.
  22. Also what doctor is putting their career on the line to clear him if he isn't 100% ready?
  23. Hmm...I seem to remember that score from somewhere before 😂
