  1. If I were a GM in the NFL, what Beane did last night would be a strategy I employ most off-seasons. I’’d trade down when possible, stockpile picks and plan for next year’s draft as well. There are certainly times where I’d stay put or possibly move up, if I needed an elite player at a position, QB, etc. But I’d generally be happy to deal with other teams and increase opportunities to bring in more cheap, young talent.
  2. PDs in WNY already strapping on the riot gear…
  3. Marvin Harrison Jr., Ohio State - Cardinals Rome Odunze, Washington - Bears Ladd McConkey, Georgia - Chiefs Brian Thomas Jr. LSU - Bills Xavier Worthy Texas - Panthers Bonus Bills pick - Brian Thomas Jr.
  4. I listen to them quite a bit, and the Simms podcast occasionally.. I agree with you on Simms and didn't know Florio's history, but it makes perfect sense. I still stand by the fact that these guys and most of the sports media are way "over-opinionated" on such transactions simply to keep viewership during slow off-seasons.. and occasionally attempt to manufacture controversy like much of the media. But I do like the two of them and their analysis usually.
  5. I saw this exchange 2 days ago and thought about posting this myself.. Here's my opinion on it: These analysts get into the "slower" parts of the NFL offseason, and are scraping for news. Something like that trade draws a ton of attention this time of year, with little on the NFL news front before the draft. Analysts capitalize and "sensationalize" this sort of story for views. Editorial monologues and aggressive debate over these little transaction surprises take up all of the air in the media and competition for clicks, ratings, whatever ensue... pure sports media offseason theatre.
  6. I'll definitely agree with you on this one, Alphadawg... Shakir was my favorite Bills breakout last season and he didn't take off quite like I thought he would, but there were glimpses.. especially once Brady took over. Great analysis.
  7. This definitely gives them more flexibility in the draft. However, you don't believe we'll need another #1 when Diggs is gone..? That could be sooner than we might think.. Draft a guy now in this deeply talented WR group and he might be able to step up in a year or two..
  8. No disrespect to Henry.. he’s a future Hall of Famer. But there are sooo many areas with more need and limited cap space for the team.. and Henry may get 7-8 million or more per year (just a guess). Regardless, cap space that can go to a top #2 WR, one or two good defensive linemen, or multiple options in the secondary should be highly preferable here. Get a bigger goal line RB with one of those extra late round picks.. So many options for much cheaper RBs, who can still help significantly..
  9. 😆🤣😂 I will never forget watching this game live on the ol' boob tube... True Looney Tunes moment... 🤣
  10. Bite your tongues, good sirs! Lonnie Johnson... 😍
  11. Throw in his class ring and a luxury box and I’ll admit it!!
  12. No, I never thought the team was good enough this season. I had hope, but knew it would be very difficult realistically… before and during the season. I thought the 2021 and 2022 seasons were their best shots under this regime. I’m perfectly happy with Beane as GM. He’s proven himself beyond a reasonable doubt. But with this coaching staff, the Bills will most likely never win a Super Bowl. Beane would have to bring in multiple difference makers, all players stay mostly healthy throughout a season and Allen and the offense would have to click on all cylinders consistently for this coaching staff to go all the way. The Reids and Shanahans of the NFL are going to always out coach McDermott when it matters.. It’s that simple..
  13. God, this offense is playing stupid.. WTF?!
  14. I know this has been said about 103 times here, but football+running it=SUCCESS
  15. Yeah, the zebras didn’t favor him this time. Looked like TB12 whining on the sideline.. 😈
  16. Here’s my opinion.. Do I think the NFL is “rigged”? No.. That type of vast conspiracy wouldn’t remain quiet. Do I think there are certain games which the NFL attempts to keep close by using officiating? Absolutely.. The intent to create parity is pretty obvious at times. Do I think they meddle with every single game? No.. again, that’s too wide a conspiracy to keep quiet. Do I think certain games they attempt to nudge with penalties to keep things close or occasionally try to “push” an outcome how they wish it to go? Yes, sometimes.. not always. Whether that’s for Vegas/gambling, etc. or for favorable outcomes, to create certain playoff scenarios, I’m not sure.. but I do believe they occasionally attempt to meddle with outcomes. Might not always work to plan, but it is sometimes attempted..
  17. Let's talk about the succubus in the room, shall we...?
  18. Yeah... you guys asking who he is just don't know football. Maybe you should ignore your kids and wives and pay more attention to the Sunday boob tube. Slackers...
  19. Very difficult for any player to bounce back quickly a year after an ACL tear. But Miller may be back into form by season’s end..
  20. A majority of the remaining Bills schedule is brutal.. Technically that’s a rebound win, but this team won’t make a Super Bowl. Without all the defensive injuries, I believe they’d have a shot. But this coaching staff will hinder the team in the playoffs, if they even make it that far.
  21. I might be telling tales outta school, but this team ain’t going to a Super Bowl. My opinion? Look for a new coaching staff. Keep Beane, fire McDermott..
  22. First of all, I’d agree with OP that the last play of the game was defensive holding or DPI. But I also agree with Albanybillsbacker… Giants defenders deliberately tripped up Bills receivers on 2 different plays with no call in the first half. As usual, the officiating was lackluster. Multi-billion dollar business and plenty of technological advantages with the NFL, and they refuse to address the officiating problems. But personally, I believe that’s how they like it.. 😉
