  1. I sure as Hell hope he has.. he deserves consideration.. but the back to back MVP votes is a tough ask.. only 5 other players have done it.. It’s a very interesting season for multiple teams.
  2. I understand exactly what you’re saying.. but being a rabid Bills fan since the late 80s, hope is dangerous thing Andy.. 😉
  3. Well, I’ll come clean.. I did not think the Bills could pull this off. Certainly not after being 21 down. Allen just took over again. Amazing late season AFC East game…
  4. Such fantastic officiating with this “replay assist”… Absolute slam dunk with a multi-billion dollar sport.
  5. I disagree with his opinion, but no need for this dude..
  6. Looks like Roger is nudging the young, promising Patriot team.. No surprise..
  7. Overall, he's correct and I always respect his extensive analysis. The Bills do have a handful of playmakers, but the health of several of them is tenuous nearly every year... but this also helps the depth player experience. James Cook isn't a playmaker? Ed Oliver? Christian Benford? Kincaid? I get it... they need more playmakers, particularly on offense. But add one or two, somehow stay mostly healthy consistently, and things could be different. However, the in-game coaching...
  8. I was thinking this as it happened.. and Allen makes those sort of throws every season, it seems.
  9. So, I thought I'd ask, if anyone has intel... I heard Terry Bradshaw just say he's never met Mike Tomlin... How does an all-time Steeler QB legend never meet Pittsburgh's head coach of the last (nearly) two decades? Do they hate each other that much? Just curious..
  10. 😆 No, no.. make him look more like Bill Burr..
  11. Should be quite the circus act the rest of the way.. McBeane really know how to pick WRs.. Mmmm..
  12. The bad part is Pegula will carry this regime over to the new stadium… This will go on until at least 2027…
  13. This, please.. I think Romeo Dobbs is a good comparison… if Shavers could be involved consistently.
  14. Keep this dude on the field, Brady.. He’s working out just fine.
  15. The NFL wants that criticism quashed, just like their squeaky clean, fair and balanced officiating, eh..? And water is somehow wet…
  16. Who do I WANT? -Howie Roseman, Andy Reid and Steve Spagnuolo... and I'd trust Reid to hire his OC. Get the top minds anywhere to go with Allen, Pegula! Oh, that's impossible? Then... Who do the Bills NEED? -See above. If we can't get them, then Shanahan or McVay would be good starts at HC. I know they are all under contract, so I'd then think about what veterans are available. However, I'd more likely take a swing at the top young offensive minds... someone who can mentor Josh Allen and give him a scheme that suits his strengths. Add a Jim Schwartz or another DC that can handle that side of the ball without question. I'd rather the team hire a GM that is an accomplished scouting mind (like Joe Schoen) and hire a separate experienced team to manage contracts and salary cap. While you still have Allen, money should be no object however you decide to do it.
  17. I wasn’t drinking the Kool-Aid in training camp. I wasn’t after the KC win. No way this team wins the Super Bowl. Stop wasting Allen.
  18. I agree with most of your sentiments, Virgil...and I did not expect a Super Bowl appearance this season with Buffalo. I still don't. The Mafia always HOPES, but I've grown cynical to McDermott's in game coaching against the best head coaches in the business. Not to say players haven't let the team down with a lack of execution at times.. but he has proven to be outcoached in multiple playoff losses. Outside of Allen, Cook, etc. saving the team with pure talent and miracles or the defensive line finally coming together and dominating the league, I cannot see Sean McDermott winning a Lombardi this season, against this AFC gauntlet (or most seasons, for that matter) and I genuinely hope I'm wrong.
  19. This is the most patient fanbase, including myself, that I've ever witnessed. I've been a Bills fan since about 1988, and this team has endured more heartbreak than the Red Sox (before they finally broke the curse or whatever). But any of us that believe Sean McDermott can lead this team to a championship (outside of several large miracles by Allen to save him), we are kidding ourselves. This is the same script as previous years, but there isn't as much talent on defense., Not that that matters, because McDermott's "defensive genius" couldn't stop Vinny Testarverde at 61 years old in a divisional playoff game... much less Mahomes and Reid.
  20. I don't see any of the "steely eyed realists" in this thread conveniently... denying the lily white, virgin NFL could have bias. Ya know, the ones that love to sit Opie down at the kitchen table and tell him how life really is..? "This study speaks volumes..." That's funny Craig, cause all I keep hearing is crickets...
  21. I didn't believe this defense was Super Bowl caliber even before the season... and it looks far worse than I expected. I'm all for trying to be patient with several players out, but I don't know how they fix this run defense. Hell, Tyler Allgeier looked like the Hulk tonight...
  22. Hell, the research is starting to prove it: https://www.ktsm.com/local/el-paso-news/utep-study-shows-nfl-officiating-favors-kansas-city-chiefs/?fbclid=IwY2xjawNaskZleHRuA2FlbQIxMABicmlkETFoSUtYNVk3N3hLSEpjSlZWAR59avYt3S0NOS9SG4S7EVAgJTCZ9vqtjTJj2gl1Xb5My1Q319xJyR7fHuYnww_aem_EDeM-F79fz3T5Iy8uw6SCg Research done by a team at UTEP presents evidence that the Chiefs have benefited from slanted officiating from 2015 to 2023, a time that coincided with their rise as one of the NFL’s most marketable franchises. Published in the journal Financial Review, the study provides “one of the clearest empirical looks at how financial pressures can influence real-time rule enforcement,” the UTEP research team said. “Our findings suggest that when the league’s financial health is at stake, rule enforcement may subtly shift to protect market appeal,” said Spencer Barnes Ph.D., assistant professor of finance in UTEP’s Woody L. Hunt College of Business and the lead author of the study. “The fact that postseason penalties consistently favored one franchise, while similar dynasties showed no such pattern, points to the powerful role of financial incentives in shaping supposedly neutral decisions.” The study shows that during the playoffs, which the research team identified as the NFL’s most commercially valuable period, penalties against opposing defenses of the Chiefs’ offense were significantly more likely to result in first downs, cover more yardage and fall into subjective categories such as roughing the passer or pass interference.
