Yeah, this is where I'm at with it. Always a chance a team like this, with serious Super Bowl aspirations, could get distracted during camp with the media focus. Not ideal for them nor do I agree with it, but I'll be watching anyway...

Gotta disagree with you on that one and it wasn't exactly my general point to begin with... Parity and down to the wire games create ratings. It's all part of the shared revenue, salary cap system they have in place. Again, I think there is some sort of "nudging" going on, but some of that is geared towards keeping games, divisions, and playoffs competitive and ratings monsters. It's all baked into the NFL machine, along with Vegas...

Oh, I don't know... maybe with the current champion Eagles.. or it could be with the Bucs... Perhaps when Burrow and the Bengals went to the Super Bowl, but lost to the Rams. Yep, no other dominant teams but the Chiefs and Brady's Patriots...

My opinion has become more a combo of these statements. I think there is something more going on, and if there truly is.. it's likely to do with nudging certain games for gambling purposes. The NFL is also VERY open about league parity and keeping games close, which I believe the officiating caters to.

Well, perhaps the suits will consider fair officiating and actually using the tech they have access to, in order to call games efficiently. Oh, who am I kidding... they'll just make it worse.

The beaches around Malibu, Pacific Palisades, Santa Monica, etc... all of those areas were some of my favorites to spend time in.. and my favorite drive in SoCal was going through Malibu Canyon. I'll never forget the first time I drove that route off the 101. I'd guess that some of those areas will be able to rebuild slowly. But you're correct... It'll never be the same. Absolute tragedy.

While I wasn't raised there, I lived most of my adult life (23 years) in Los Angeles. I also moved to Washington state at the beginning of the pandemic, for a host of reasons. I hate to see this and have been in touch with many friends down there. The last time I was able to travel to LA was the Bills/Rams season opener in 2022... the only time I've been able to see SoFi. Amazing stadium. Amazing city.
