  1. Thats a good idea and everything, but what bills fan would possibly want any reason to root against making the playoffs?
  2. It's not, but nothing is, so why waste money trying, when not only can we not stop it, we can't even lower use. Once again, I thought we already learned this lesson during prohibition On a side note, I don't think its even in the interest of americans to stop it. If you read the article, about half of americans already use or have used, and thats just the ones who admitted to it, and thats with it being illegal. Getting people to stop using marijuana isn't what the majority people want, so in a democracy, the government shouldn't be trying
  3. I still dont understand why legalizing drugs is thought of as liberal. A true conservative could be tough on crime (crime meaning people hurting other people), but would think that the government shouldnt have conrol over what people do to their own bodies. Is there anything that says big government more than the government telling you what you do and dont have permission to put into your own body.
  4. I thought it was funny how he said he despised Mcgahee after his first season. I mean the kid was 12 at the time. It's kind of sad to already be jaded about your team's star athletes at that age, but I guess such is the life of a Bills fan. I can't falut the kid for giving his opinion since someone gave him a platform to do it. It does seem kind of crazy to have kids that young writing opinion pieces about pro teams. In my opinoin young aspiring writers should learn journalism by collecting facts, doing interviews, and things of that nature, maybe about local high school teams.
  5. I think Williams has played better so far, but McCargo started to come along at the end of last year and has more potential, he really just needs to be consistent. I think he'll be getting the bulk of the PT next to stroud next year.
  6. I've always found it confusing that the government realized prohibition didn't work because people drank anyway, but bootlegging made the mafia more powerful, so basically it created a new problem without solving the original one. However, with drugs its the exact same thing, tougher laws haven't slowed down use and they've made street gangs more powerful, but this time the government hasn't realized that outlawing them hasn't worked. Can someone explain this to me.
  7. Agreed, Ron Paul was the only person in this election who would bring any real change
  8. I'm aware of this and am in no way supporting liberals, the entire gov't is bass ackwards on this issue. I'm just saying that a lot of "conservatives" support a lot of these things which lead to more government control.
  9. Exactly, putting non violent drug offenders behind bars has done exactly 0 to curtail american drug use (see original article), so even if you are for stopping drug use, you can't agree with the way the gov't is going about doing it.
  10. War on drugs, war on iraq, patriot act, fcc, its all in the "conservative", small government agenda, it makes perfect sense, I'm suprised you didnt know that
  11. How are you going to cause an accident driving 15 mph?
  12. Way too early to judge, but its hard to say you would rather have any LB from the last few classes over willis. The guy was an absolute beast as a rookie and should only get better, if he stays healthy he'll be a pro bowl fixture. But tenatively I'll say I'd rather have Lynch and Poz than willis and whoever we could've grabbed in the 2nd, because that's the realistic choice.
  13. Gotta love to see that stuff, mentally it can be hard to come back after not playing for so long, but he's doing everything possible to make sure he's ready, wise beyond his years. If he plays up to his potential, it will exponentially improve the defense.
  14. I actually like the shout song, but that song up there is toooo hot. I mean, no one else things its cool that in the bay area our running back's name is a verb?
  15. NSFW language http://youtube.com/watch?v=ldNbhv1ayAQ&feature=related
  16. I think on 3rd and long we should just use the same play that everyone uses against us in those situations. It seems to be pretty effective.
  17. I watched it last night for the first time since it was on live. Man, that D was awesome, it's a shame that the OL/qb/GM situations screwed the team up so badly the next couple years. I was definitely cringing when the announcer was saying "wade phillips looks like a genious for starting Rob Johnson right now." after the go ahead field goal. Also, it was crazy how quick the sequence was from FG to Kickoff, to TD. For one, I forgot that they didn't do commercials after every score back then, and I remember the actual play happenening in slow motion I guess because it was so traumatic. The one positive is that watching the start of the game I remembered that feeling of excitement I used to get before Bills playoff games, I miss that, hopefully this year it will be back.
  18. Sleeper: James Hardy: The rookie reciever is huge (6'6") and can run like the wind James Hardy #60: In the land of bonsai trees, the sequoia is king. How deep. Surrounded by 5'10" Josh Reed, 5'10" Lee Evans and 5'9" Roscoe Parrish, the 6'6" Hardy should have little trouble standing out in Buffalo as a rookie. The Bills don't have any reliable possession receivers, so there's a good chance Hardy will see the field early. But his game is adaptable too. He's physical enough to play a Plaxico Burress-like role in the red zone. And while he isn't fast and doesn't have great feet, he's a nifty leaper with great body control So I guess my question is, what does a fast receiver run like?
  19. The line is "ever s*ck d*ck for weed? I s*cked d*ck for coke (I SEEN HIM!)"
  20. Another thing you have to take into consideration is fairchild's play calling. He really didn't let him air it out. Some would say that he was letting the kid gain some confidence by completing short passes, but I think it would've been better to let him air it out on 3rd and 10+ and see what he can do instead of going to a draw/screen play. Hopefully Trent will have more of a chance to prove himself under turk.
  21. ummmm considering our 1100 yd 1st rd draft pick RB (alledgedly) actually committing a crime barely got a blip on the NFL/national media radar screen, I severly doubt that our 7th rd draft pick who hasn't played a down on a youtube video not committing a crime is going to get a whole lot of attention outside of this message board.
  22. Mine wasn't until my senior year in college in 2004, we played the rams and after being down 10-0 in the first quarter we dominated led by 3 mark campbell td catches and a nate clements punt return. I've made the trip up for at least one game per year since.
  23. Spikes, I know he might've badmouthed the city after he left and he's more injury prone than Moises Alou, but I loved watching him play in '04. He was just scary, if I saw him walking down the street in those days I would probably slide or take a knee. Also, that hit on Brady in the first play of '06 was awesome. Those achilles are a b*tch, he could've been great.
