  1. There's no reason why Greer shouldn't have been starting day 1 last year. I feel like everyone who watched the Bills in preseason last year came away thinking that Greer and Fred Jackson were both very solid players. However, they didn't get they're chance until others got injured or got a shot and blew it. Then when they finally got to play, they were both very solid. If Greer can continue to improve he will be very productive as a starting corner in this system.
  2. I'm not going to say that I hold it against players who don't live year round in the city they play in because it seems to be the norm, but I just don't understand it. I think that working out together as a team for the entire offseason is beneficial. All of us live in or around the city that that we work in all year round, so considering a lot of these guys make more money in a year or two than most of us will ever make in our lives, I really don't think its too much to ask.
  3. I think we caught a huge break by getting to play all 3 california teams and seattle at home, and getting denver, st.louis, kc, and arizona on the road. Playing both west divisions without having to actually travel all the way to the west coast is pretty sweet.
  4. http://msn.foxsports.com/nfl/story/7921384...?-Eh,-not-quite "Buffalo (11), Philadelphia (19), Tampa Bay (20), Washington (21), Dallas (22, 28) and San Francisco (29) could all be looking to snag a receiver with their upcoming first-round picks. Based on need, they may very well jump on one of the aforementioned '08 prospects. But are any of them among the top 31 players in this draft? Well, that's a tough call. A call I'm glad I don't have to make"
  5. Are you sure about that? http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BlJqTIlfPFg "The nfc west is one of the worst conferences in the entire NFC" I know you meant as a runner, but his analysis cracks me up every time.
  6. I asked emmit and here's what he said: Don't try to use thurman as an escape goat, the team who have more points will win a game, the superbowl have no differnt, so if I wasn't in the feel of play in the cowboys, is the game have been play, the winner will be vicarious.
  7. I wouldn't be suprised if we waited until the 2nd for a WR, and that's even if we trade down. Most people seem to think that Kelly, Thomas, Sweed, and Hardy are more or less interchangable as far as big recievers go. If the Bills think that, and know one of them will be available in the 2nd, and there's a CB, TE, DL/LB who's way better than anyone who would be available in a later round, then they should/would use their first rounder on something other than a wr.
  8. This reminds me of draft day last year. My girlfriend and I started dating in the summer of 06, so she had already been through an entire football season with me and knew how obsessed I was with the Bills and football in general. But when she came over to my apt at about 7pm on draft day because we had plans to go out to dinner that night and I was sitting on my couch in sweatpants, hadn't showered or shaved all day, had espn on the tv, was on my laptop participating in 3 different chats, and was about 12 beers deep, she just had this look on her face that said "seriously, what the f is wrong with you". It was pretty hilarious.
  9. I'd be extremely disappointed to find out that we were cheating and STILL couldn't make the playoffs for 8 years straight
  10. Alex Smith makes David Carr look like an amazing draft pick.
  11. Agreed, Giants, Pats, Colts, Cowboys, Packers, Chargers, Steelers, Redskins. All playoff teams, all teams with good tight ends that are a big part of their offense.
  12. I only caught a few michigan state games this year, but I like Kellen Davis a lot. He's not the fastest guy in the world, but he's athletic for a really big guy has good hands, and was a good redzone target. I think there's a lot of potential there and wouldn't mind if we used a mid round pick on him. He also plays D-end on pass rushing downs...that's not really relevant but I just thought it was interesting.
  13. When I joined this site I was informed that all remarks about the team and front office had to be pessimistic and/or critical. Just thought I'd pass that along, I didn't know if you guys got the memo. On that note...I can't believe we let Bryant Johnson get away, Ralph is such a cheap bastard, we should've given him javon walker type money
  14. I hear what your saying, those are good numbers, but from watching him play I think that those numbers were more a product of the jaguars system than his skill. Garrard consistantly has a high QB rating and I don't think he's the most talented guy in the world either. A good O-line, great running game, and good O-coordinator can do wonders for a mediocre QB. I'm just saying if you watch Gray play he's not very good at all.
  15. I would rather keep JP and let him walk next year then sign quinn gray. The only thing quinn gray was good for was making money by betting against the jags when he played. The guy is god awful.
  16. Faulk is one of the worst analysts on television. He's emmit smith minus the made up words. He doesn't know one thing about the bills. Apparantly success at running back does not translate to success in the broadcast booth.
  17. I was never that high on Bryant Johnson. Definitely had some potential, but too many question marks to throw a lot of money at. I like that Brandon isn't breaking the bank and over paying the one of the best available WRs in a weak free agent pool just because he's available. There's plenty of tall WRs in the draft.
