  1. That would suck if it was the opener, might make tickets harder to get. I love getting jets/bills tickets on the cheap after the fans have given up on the team (after week 3)
  2. The one year thing doesn't bother me that much. I think that WR more than any other position depends so much on other factors (type of offense, qb that can get you the ball, seeing a lot of double coverage, etc.), that this is a position where potential and physical skills are just as important in evaluating as college stats are.

  4. All time great episode in my opinion. I love when he's going out in the hall to talk to the pregnant girl and he says something like, open your textbooks to he chapter about how the media stopped caring that the patriots cheated. Pure gold
  5. Didn't derrick harvery run a faster 40 than that at the combine. If he's available at #11 we can just use him at DL and WR, two needs filled in one pick, perfect
  6. Injury Report - Bills vs. Jets - October 12, 2003 Sammy Morris RB Abdominal OUT Mike Williams OT Lazy Questionable Eric Moulds WR Groin Doubtful Sam Adams DT Fat Questionable
  7. I have a friend whos mother in law's cousin went to Texas who told me that Mike Williams sucked because he was battling an addiction to krispy kreme doughnuts
  8. Dick Jauron wouldn't get along with Birk. That intense yale/harvard rivalry would get in the way. I heard DJ forced Marv Levy out the door for that very reason. They would often get in intense arguments while watching crew and fencing.
  9. It could all be games, as no one wants to show their hand, but Jerry Jones said he has no interest in trading up. He also said that a top 10 pick can "financially cripple a franchise" and unless there's a superstar qb available there's no reason to trade into the top 10 and take that risk. I know we're at 11, but if he really feels this way I don't think he'd want to trade with us.
  10. Does anyone else find it hilarious that Ralph Wilson wanted to draft Flutie with the #1 overall pick in that draft, then ended up benching him in a playoff game for no apparent reason 14 years later. Kind of ironic.
  11. I can't watch ESPN or NFL network Bills analysis. No one in the national media has watched a Bills game in years. They basically learn a couple of names, look at a copule of stats then just talk out of their a$$. Anyone on this board could give a better analysis than them. My favorite part of Faulk's analysis (besides the Left tackle quote) was hearing about what a great job Steve Fairchild did.
  12. Exactly. There are only a couple of ways that the "no commitments, just sex" think will not end in disaster. One way is if you both are banging other people as well, and you're both aware of it, but you can call her up every once in a while and its no big deal (if this is the case make sure to wrap it up tho). The other way is if the girl isn't a full blown psychopath and when she realizes no commitment is going to happen she just goes away. The fact that she's constantly calling and texting you rules out pretty much both options. She's gonna want more eventually, and she's not gonna take no for an answer. I've seen it happen many times.
  13. I hooked up with my good friend's ex once, I didn't tell him about it and then he ended up finding out. He was pissed, we ended up working it out, but I felt bad, and I wouldn't do it again. Also, as far as psycho girls (which this girl 100% is), they are definitely better in bed, but often end up being more trouble than they're worth. I think if you're gonna bang a girl whos 100% insane, you better not know her very well and you better be able to cut it off completely on short notice with minimal drama. Since this is a girl you know fairly well, I would say that it sounds like it would end up being more trouble than its worth. There are plenty of only marginally crazy sluts out there who never dated any of your friends. Just my 2 cents, good luck tho.
  14. Hate to be mr. literal, but there is a red lobster near the stadium, I went there for a drunken dinner of all you can eat shrimp after the bills/packers game the year before last, it was delicious.
  15. I assumed this thread was a joke, I mean he's gonna be suspended for at least all of next year, no question about that. And who knows if he'll ever get his act together. However, when I saw that he was released by the Bengals, one of the first thoughts that came to my mind was, this is the exact type of receiver that the bills could use. But if obviously wouldn't be worth the headache.
  16. Oliver sucked though. When Andre Reed finally makes it to the hall of fame he should thank Louis Oliver in his speech. He absolutley got toasted by Reed on a consistent basis. So I couldn't take him seriously enough to hate him. I couldn't stand cox, but in retrospect I definitely respect the type of competitor he was. Marino is and always has been a d-bag, great qb, but i really can't stand that guy.
  17. Couldn't have said it better myself. I've watched some clips of hardy and I really don't see his skills translating to the NFL. The kid I like the best is Thomas from Mich st. I really think that overall (speed, hands, blocking, size) he's the best receiver in the draft. Then sweed, then kelly, then hardy (I'm only mentioning tall WRs here, obviously desean jackson is very good, but not what we need).
  18. Hopefully I will too once the Bills get back to the playoffs.
  19. I don't think Bryant Mckinney belongs on that list, he's been a good player, the off the field stuff does cause distractions, but hasn't led to any suspensions (yet). I still take him over Mike Williams 1,000 out of 1,000 times. But your general point is correct, there are no sure things at any position. That is why jerry jones said that most teams don't even want a top 10 pick because you have to guarantee a ton of money to someone who's just as likely to be a bust as an all-pro.
  20. He also beat the bills to keep us out of the playoffs in '04
  21. I'll never forgive him for that fumble against the niners on the goal line that they recovered and took back 99 yards for the tocuhdown. I actually thought he was a pretty good back too, but for some reason whenever I think of him that play comes to mind.
  22. That brings back memories, I used to love that commercial. The Bills were so badass back in the day. I also love kevin greene with the short hair, priceless.
  23. I agree with that. He was a very mediocre player, so using himself as an example of where a better player wouldn't make a big difference automatically takes away from his argument. He's also looking too deep into it. These are the facts, a team whose O-line gives the qb time and opens holes for the rbs will win more games than a similar team whose o-line doesn't give the qb time and doesn't open holes for the rbs. Better O-linemen are better at giving the qbs time and opening up holes for the rbs. Pretty simple if you ask me.
