I feel like no matter what Tim actually thinks about drafting a QB in the first round (whether or not the Bills should), in that instance he was going to say yes in the hopes that EJ took his bait and said something off color or tried to really get into it with him. If that is really his opinion, then I'm ok with the line of questioning. However, nobody will ever know if it is really his opinion or not. He knew that there were only a few different responses EJ could give him and he had formulated answers to each of them ready to go. Similar to a lawyer or sales person, members of the media ask questions that they already know the answers to.

I think that the looming recruiting scandal at Oregon helped in his decision as well. I wonder if Buffalo made him an offer anywhere close to what Philly offered (or even made an offer at all).

Couldnt agree more about this pass. Blitz coming, 3 step drop and hit Lee in stride right up the seam. This is the type of pass that breaks a defense open from the inside out. Do it once or twice and they have to look for it all game long, which frees up the outside routes, swing passes, and screens. This is the type of pass that Brady has made to Watson/Hernandez/Gronk throughout his career. Also why it's important to get a great pass catching TE!

Ultimately, it's up to the individual to police themselves in all situations, not just at a football game. I remembered when this happened and while it's an unfortunate event, it was his fault for drinking too much and then doing whatever he was doing near a creek and a 40 foot embankment. His decisions led him to that spot, not the Bills, drinking laws, etc. If he doesn't get that drunk that day, he doesn't die. But it was his decision to get that drunk.

Wasn't he the #2 receiver a couple of years ago due to injury? Can't remember how he did in that time production-wise, but he has been split out wide in the past.
