I agree that the offense is a good TE away (assuming we draft a WR in the first or second round) from doing a 180 from last year. It will depend alot on how well they can adapt to the new scheme, but something tells me that it isn't going to be that complicated this year while they get used to it. Even though it won't be complicated, I think it will be leagues above last years pathetic showing of play calling. With a decent TE, I could see us being middle of the pack or better on offense. I don't like JP as a player, but as a person, he seems like he's pretty down to earth. I liked the initiative that he had in buying and fixing up a house in Buffalo as well as his website to try and clean up the city. The only bashing that I ever do on him is when people say that he has talent and should be the starter because in my opinion (which is all a message board really is), he shouldn't be. I enjoy your topics, Tipster, and think that it will be a loss to the board if you stop posting them. You're one of the ones who puts some effort into what you're tossing out there and usually have something positive to say. That's what I'm looking for on here, not the negative posts about how bad we're going to suck. All I can say is that you need to take it for what it's worth and not feel the need to defend yourself or your opinion unless you think that the person who is accusing you of something has any merit at all. I think that alot of the posts on here are put up just to try and get a rise out of the people who are serious and have serious points.

Your boyfriend JP went to Mexico and Australia last offseason. He should have stayed in Buffalo. What a sad state of affairs his season turned out to be... It's such a bunch of garbage that it doesn't even justify serious comments. I'd like to see some articles about players offseasons and what they do. I'd be willing to put money on most QB's, including the good ones, going somewhere other than the practice facility during the offseason.

Yeah, that doesn't make sense to me either. Why try and maximize your profitability on a game that would have been maximized at the Ralph? That game could have sold out at regular season ticket prices and then play another sold out pre-season game in Toronto. Anyone have an opinion as to why they would play the Steelers in Toronto?

He has no offense to study and is probably working out in CA. No doubt is he getting some relaxation as well, but there isn't an NFL player right now who isn't taking some time off. Just because those guys are working out at the facilities, doesn't mean that they are practicing or anything like that. Lets get worried if he doesn't show up next week. I doubt that he played golf the whole time he's been out there. At least he isn't riding his motorcycle without a helmet or playing flag football or anything.

Yeah, if that contract is real, that's a steal. I'm all for not overpaing for talent (ala Bryant Johnson), but we could have offered that type of contract to just about any of the free agents this year and I would have been happy with it.
