  1. Greatest Thread ever started on this board. I agree 100000000000%
  2. Yes we need a QB. Fitz is meciocre at best and is a FA at the end of the year. We need to find a QB of the future which is why I think we need to identify whichever one of the guys in this draft is the guy and do whatever we need to do to get him. There is DL depth later in the draft (plus we have a Carrington and Troup from last years draft to step up this year). Fitz doesn't have the accuracy and makes too many bad plays/turnovers at key points in games. We need a QB, badly and not a piece of crap like Volek or Thigpen.
  3. 31st rated offense 4-12 record Still don't think we need a QB ?
  4. craving some attention, I guess?
  5. I completely disagree. Our starting D (when healthy) was as servicable as Fitz. QB is just as big a need as any other position and since it is the single most important position on the team, it is our most pressing need, in my opinion. I will be very disappointed if we don't get a QB before pick 35
  6. lets assume that they take him and he doesn't bust. We now have a franchise QB Or lets assume they take a DL, LB, CB or whatever. Maybe they bust, maybe they don't but we still don't have a QB. What is the point? Any player picked at 3 may or may not bust. If they bust it will hurt the francise terribly, just as Mike Williams did. That doesn't mean they should not take Newton or Gabbert if they think either can be the man. WE NEED A QB. FITZ IS NOT THE ANSWER.
  7. Gailey said they will definitely add a QB either in the draft or a veteran in free agency. They way it sounded to me was that it would be an early pick, rather than a late round, develeopmental guy.
  8. I have this picture in my head: Even before Commissioner Goodell announces that the draft has started and Carolina is on the clock, Ralph is anxioiusly standing by the stage with his draft card filled out. Carolina goes on the clock. Comes to the podium. Selects Cam Newton. Ralph is seen on the edge of the screen angrily throwing down the card and swearing uncontrollably.
  9. speaking of curveballs: I was thinking of this scenario. What if the Bills really covet a specific QB (for example Locker) and they have a belief that the Redskins will take him at 10, how mad would you be if the Bills just stand pat at 3 and take him?
  10. why? because he's black? You could have listed Harrington, Leaf, Schuler, Couch, Losman. Seriously, this type of post is a ridiculous. Maybe he's the next Steve McNair or Donovan McNabb. Or maybe, he's just Cam Newton who may or may not be a successful NFL QB.
  11. Tim Graham confirmed that the EA leaked uniforms are exactly correct.
  12. I agree. I would like to see them make multiple trade downs. Try to stay in the top 13-14 picks and get 2 extra 2nd rounders.
  13. NGU - do you think Gabbert is a consideration at 3? I would rather have him than Miller or Green
  14. seems to me that this would make Ralph leary of drafting this kid just based on principle.
  15. stop being so naive. Even if these things are true, he's not the only college ball players doing it. That crap has been going on for decades. I could care less. Win me some games, the rest is poimtless. Ask the Steelers if they care that Big Ben is a dirtbag. They don't Same with Favre, Vick, Bruce Smith, etc. Win games and noone cares about the other crap
  16. maybe the Bills could just give him an Xbox as a signing bonus, that way he wouldn't have to steal one
  17. I don't know. We should ask his teammates from 2 consecutive national championship teams.
  18. Have fun. I went in 2006. It was a cool experience. I would recommend it for any draft fanatic. But I would not go again. It was fun being there, but I really enjoy flipping between ESPN and NFLN to hear the commentators and you miss all of that being there in person.
  19. I will be buying one of each Probably a Stevie Johnson and whomever we draft
  20. every report I saw said that Newton was the hardest worker on the Auburn team and that his teammates followed his example. I've seen nothing to make he think he won't put in the work. My concerns with him would be: 1.) the people around him steering him astray 2.) Him being distracted by his desire to be an icon rather than focusing on success in the NFL first 3.) His ability to read NFL defenses.
  21. I hope those are correct. I love them. Love the white helmets and Love the blue pants with the white jerseys. Very cool
  22. Our offense DID suck. We had the second worst offense in the NFL. So many people want to make Fitz sound like he played like a superstar. He didn't. We still did not score often enough. Still too many turnovers and not enough sustained drives. Teams ran against us because they had the lead. I am not saying the defense was great, but you cannot bury your head in the sand and think that all they need to do is draft a few defensive players and the problems are solved. Also, we drafted Troup and Carrington last year, we have Dwan Edwards, Merriman and Andra Davis (Danny Batten too) coming back from injury and Moats ready to play more. I think some attention needs to be paid to Offense. We need a franchise QB, OT and TE.
  23. This is ridiculous. No QB prospect is completely ready to step in and read defenses like Brady, Manning and Brees do after years of NFL experience on great teams. Brady, Manning and Brees were not ready to do it when they came out of college either. Brady was passed over 198 times in the draft because teams thought he could not play in NFL. Manning went 1-15 in his rookie year. So what? It's not about whether they can step in and be Pro-bowl caliber immediately. It's about determining whther or not they can do it at some point down the road. I have no idea of Newton (or any of the other prospects) can do it but to say they should not be picked because they are not as good as Manning, Brady and Brees right now is downright idiotic.
