  1. Predicting who the Bills select is not the easiest thing to do. They seem to have defense as a priority. They want run stoppers with some size to them. They want players who have performed well on the field for a while-no one year wonders. They want players of character and intelligence, qualities that all that most of us know about only through what we read. Maybe J.J. Watt or Cam Jordan.
  2. Some Bills' players were definitely worth what other teams got them for--Pat Williams and Antoine Winfield are prime examples of this (and I ,generally, am not a fan of small db's). Nate Clements is another story- a good player who I wish was still on the team, but not a huge impact player. I believe that he was close, for a while, in making close to Tom Brady money after San Francisco signed him. New England's philosophy seems to be : get rid of them before their decline and want megabucks. I don't subscribe to this 100%--I think that you have to look at each player on an individual basis.
  3. Hindsight is beautiful isn't it? What would have or could have been if we had retained Polian, even with Ralph as owner ? I honestly think that half of the armchair GM's who frequent this board could have done a better job than the Buffalo personnel team. Although Modrak may not have been making final decisions on draft choices and free agents, I have had a problem with his commitment to Buffalo if he truly has been a resident of Jacksonville for part of his tenure "in Buffalo".
  4. ...if we play more 4-3 against Baltimore? Davis or Poz? For that matter, who starts at the 2 OLB spots? Kelsay and Moats? Coleman and Ellison? Maybin and Torbor? Does anybody who was at last week's game have any insight?
  5. I have not posted for years but I do enjoy this forum for getting information fast. I assume that I am one of the oldest members who uses this website on a regular basis. I have followed the Bills since their entry into the AFL. Yes, the Bills were AFL champions. However, since the leagues have merged, the Bills have never been Super Bowl champions; it has been a decade since a play-off appearance; their record through the years has been substantially below .500; they went a decade without beating Miame; they have lost 14 straight games to New England. I applaud Ralph Wilson for keeping the Bills in Buffalo for all of these years. However, his failure to bring one single Super Bowl champion to Buffalo in all of these years prevents me from being an optimistic Pollyanna. We fans can do little except offer our opinions. So here is mine. Mr. Wilson should sell 51% of the Bills to Jim Kelly and his investors now. That way, he can maintain his deep investment in the team while others use different strategies to right the ship. Buffalo and all of upstat New York deserve it.
