  1. 3 for 3 I'm enjoying my place at the top of the list.....we'll see how long that lasts.
  2. I'm in. Hope I don't wind up regretting not taking FSU to upset Pitt in the sweet 16. I really think that could happen.
  3. As far as the QB's go, I'm sure they were not thrilled with the prospect of hearing their name called with this sentence preceding it: "With the first pick in the 2009 NFL Draft, the DETROIT LIONS select......
  4. Dick Jauron's contract extension....that's what happened.
  5. I believe it was the same play. What a fool. I thought the same thing.....you can't just go out of bounds in front of the punter.......pretty lame, IMO.
  6. More like: A good coach would not have blown the two or three games that Jauron blew this year.
  7. On the two play action passes to the FB Evans, plus the pass in the flat to Welker that got down to the 2, the replays clearly showed that Mitchell was responsible for the coverage in the flat.
  8. Cassell only had 6 completions, but at least 4 of them were the result of Mitchell missing his assignment. Whats up with that?? I think he's a good linebacker, but today his performance was god-awful.
  9. 3. Now there are only 2 games left in the season instead of 3.
  10. Personally, I think the o-line has been playing fairly well overall. Even Dan Dierdork was complimenting the line for giving our "quarterback" plenty of time to throw, and they looked like they were actually getting a push in the run game today. There are other problems that need more immediate attention on this team...particularily on the defensive side of the ball--front 7 pass rushers come to mind. However, if there is an opportunity to upgrade at center, grab it!!
  11. If the events that transpired on the field today happened 5 to 10 years ago, I would have been depressed about it until at least Wednesday..........today, however, it just gave me a slight chuckle to watch Ellis rumble into the end zone.....it wasn't even a suprise to me and it bothered me for less than 20 seconds. Its a crying shame what the Bills are doing to its fan base.
  12. I've transferred most, but not all of my attention from the Bills over to my Orlando Magic. They are 17-5, on top of their division, and have the best center in the NBA in Dwight Howard. Its nice to have at least one team that went out and spent money to field a consistent playoff team with the possibility of Championship runs in the near future. Hey, there even building a brand new Arena that is set to open in a year and a half. At least the future is bright for one of my teams.
  13. Wish the Bills could have sent me off with a win....oh well. At least I get to avoid the Trent vs. JP, Bills suck, fire/cut (insert name here) threads this week. Usually stay at the MGM Grand, but I got a good deal on a luxury room at the Flamingo. Got front row seats for the Penn and Teller show....can't wait to get out there and live it up!! Wish me luck at the poker tables
  14. ???? I think McKelvin has better coverage skills since Hester is not a corner.
  15. If you wanted to be a douche, you should have just said Stroud.
  16. What!!!........... I think its between McGee, McKelvin, Parrish, and Evans.
  17. He is an a-hole, but he is an a-hole with influence over a lot of players, and these players pass along his negative peception of Buffalo to other players around the league, which obviously hurts the Bills during the free agent signing period.
  18. You're not a doctor, you just play one on this board. Seriously, I hope these guys can get back in a hurry...the Bills need all the help they can get at this point.
  19. Soooooooooo.......are we supposed to laugh at your joke or at you??? I'm confused.
  20. What an unsusal run of having to play 5 games in a row vs. one particular defensive scheme. What is particularily unfortunate is that the Bills offense seems ineffective vs. this scheme. The more they struggle against it, the more film future opponents have to review to see what works or doesn't work, and what wrinkles to add to confuse the Bills offense further. One could argue that the Bills have more film on that defense, and should be able to dissect that film and come up with ways to be successful vs. the 3-4. However, in the last 3 games, things have only gotten worse. My question is: Do these struggles point to bad coaching or not? Keep in mind that the coaches get the schedule far in advance, and know what types of defenses they will be facing--not to mention the fact that all three AFC East opponents run this scheme. I would think an offense geared to put pressure on a 3-4 defense would be a number 1 priority from training camp when looking at the Bills schedule. Obviously its not as easy as it sounds, but I would think that more strides vs. this defensive scheme would have been made by this point. Don't you agree?
  21. Every team, especially a young team has peaks and valleys throughout the season. Its unfortunate that one of these "valleys" had to occur in games vs. the Jets and Fins, but its not the end of the world. For someone to expect perfection week in and week out from such a young team is urealistic and unreasonable. Sure I'm quite dissapointed with the losses, but I tend to keep my eye on the big picture. If and/or when the Bills are eliminated from playoff contention is the time for the negative reactions.
  22. I'm with ya, my friend!! My two Bills fan friends and I show up at the sports bar down here in Florida every week no matter the team's record. Sure its hard sometimes, but I would never give up on the team. If we can survive through all the heartbreaking losses in the past(I won't mention them--i'm sure you know), how can anyone give up on this team now? What was the team's record at this point last year...3-5 at best. If at the begining of the season, someone told you the Bills would be tied for the AFC East lead halfway through the season, these chicken little's would have taken it in a heartbeat. Relax people!!!!!
  23. http://www.democratandchronicle.com/articl...3/810300368/tbd This article says he participated fully in practice on Wednesday. It will be a big help if he plays, but only if he is healthy. The Bills don't need two corners limping around out there on Sunday.
  24. I know that Lynch was unable to be in there at the time, but doesn't that make it all the more puzzling that they would run the ball three straght times? This is the point that bothers me the most.
