  1. I like this Draft, but I think a CB in the 4th would be more likely...I would like to see either Kuechly, Glenn, or Gilmore in the 1st...Jeffery, or Randall in the 2nd...Then fill in the needs that remain (from LT, CB, OLB) with the 3rd and first 4th...
  2. Another thing I'll add about Kuechly is the fact that LB is clearly a need Position for The Bills, but there has been almost no talk concerning him out of OBD (at least very little compared to some prospects)...And I'm thinking The Bills like that...Kuechley has visited, but there was not much made about that either...Lastly, something I just read on buffalobills.com struck me as interesting...Kuechly commented that he's been compared by some to Zach Thomas, who played (and played very well) for Wanny in Miami... Trying to connect some dots here...And just saying...
  3. For what it's worth...Mike Lombardi reported last night that he's hearing (through his league sources I would presume) The Bills want to use #10 overall on Defense... I think there is depth at the WR position with speed and size...The other factor here is WR is not exactly a plug-and-play position...It usually takes some time regardless of how good the prospect is...Personally, as a pure WR, I don't see a big difference between a guy like Floyd, and a guy like Alshon Jeffery...In fact I like Jeffery better, but admittedly that's just me... Anyway...I no longer think Floyd is in the plans at #10...I think it's down to Kuechly, Gilmore, or Glenn...
  4. Good Poll!!! I was wondering the other day what Folks thought about this exact topic... I don't like the new format much...I used to love it when it was just the weekend...But I would rather see a Fri, Sat, Sun if they want 3 days...Anyway...
  5. I hear you...But I also think this is the one area (pass D) where Scouts believe Kuechly truly can be a difference maker...Especially in zone...If it's Nickel, Kuechly and Barnett...Dime, they battle it out...And Scott rotates in as a specialty player...Like I said before...I'm really just guessing...But nonetheless I hope it's an educated guess...
  6. 6 obvious one's - Luck, RG3, Kalil, Claiborne, Richardson, Blackmon... 4 others - Floyd, Kuechly, Glenn, Gilmore... Just my guess...
  7. It's a tough question...I'm really unsure...I do know Mayock says that Kuechly is the best, and most instinctive, LB in coverage he has ever Scouted...So...I'm not sure there is any way to compare what Kuechly potentially brings...And it's not that he can't blitz and help out there...I think it's more like he was so good at covering he did not rush the passer much at BC...That's just my guess... The Bills have guys to rush the passer now...And it's a passers league...In the Bills Division the Patsies have Brady, Gronk, and Hernandez...The Jets have Keller who can be a handful...The Fish TE Fasano had 2 TD's vs The Bills last year...So...I'm not saying I think Kuechly will be, or should be, the pick at #10...But I think it's easy enough to make an argument for a great cover LB who is a tackling machine, and REAL fast...I can see it...That's all...
  8. He'll Start at the OLB Position Morrison was going to play on base downs...Then he'll stay on the field in Nickle and probably even dime situations dropping in coverage...I don't see him rushing the passer much at all... It would be easier to move Kuechly outside than it would be to do the same with Shep IMHO...But I think Kuechly is the Bills best Cover LB from Day #1...And I'm not saying that means much considering...But still...
  9. Sorry Bro!!! If it makes you feel any better I'd rather have Floyd, Gilmore, or Glenn...But I would not be surprised at all, or terribly bummed, if it was Kuechly...We'll see though...I'll throw in a prayer for ya...just because you're you Bro...
  10. I can always put in a call to my Mom Bro...She has a direct line to the big-guy upstairs...She's one with the beads...Couldn't hurt right? Seriously though...I think Kuechly is a definite possibility...I think Mayock may have him going to The Bills at #10 in his final Mock...He hinted to that point last night on "Path To The Draft." Mayock said Kuechly is a nice fit for Wanny's Defensive scheme...Now, I know Kuechly is not a lights-out type player...But I think he's 100 times the player Poz was coming out, especially in coverage...Mayock says Kuechly is literally the best, and most instinctive, zone coverage LB he's EVER Scouted coming out...He said EVER! His tackle numbers are amazing...I know the concern is, like Poz, most of those tackles come 7 yards deep...But no matter how you look at it, he had 160 more tackles than Poz in College...That's like a whole Season of tackles more! Not only would Kuechly start at OLB ahead of Morrison, but he would stay on the field in Nickle...So that's a 3-down LB...I'm not saying I would not prefer another player at #10...I do worry that Kuechly is not physical enough, and that he's going to swallowed up...But I would not mind the pick either...It's just one of those picks that may not excite, but may fill a BIG need...I don't know...I don't think he's going to be the pick anyway...But I'm not against it if he is either...And I do think he's way better than Poz...
  11. He'll be there Bro...So get ready to hold your breath...
  12. The fact that 8 out of the 22 (the last 11 years) were 2nd Round Picks definitely surprises me...That's more than the 6 1st rounders in that span... I think it tells me that when you hear some Folks say Cordy Glenn is not an NFL LT, and they would not take him till the 2nd Round, there's a good chance they're wrong about how effective he'll be on the blindside...Or if a Kid like Martin falls into the 2nd, he still may very well be a good LT in time... Thanks for that research btw...
  13. I'm not a big Reiff, or DeCastro (for The Bills specifically) Fan...I would not be very happy if we took either of them...
  14. Irrelevant? Have you not heard about Jenkins? I'm not just talking about the stuff that ran him from Fla...I'm talking about the day to day stuff people like Mike Lombardi are hearing from Scouts and Pro Personnel guys...Because the name they were using to compare Jenkins to the other night on The NFL Network, as far as off-the-field problems and red-flags coming into the Draft, was none other than Pac Man Jones...The feeling among some is that Jenkins keeps a bad crowd, and he does not really seem to care much who knows about it...So...Pass...
  15. Exactly what I was thinking...I'm confused...
  16. Hey I like Woody as much as anybody...But he's also yet to make a Pro Bowl, and oft-injured...So I would not exactly call that a Home Run move either... And it was Levitre that we Traded up for in the 2nd Round...Woody was the Pick we got from Philly for Peters...But who's counting... But thanks for playing nonetheless...Nothing like the devil's advocate for the sake of devil advocacy alone...Anyway...
  17. I don't know...Maybe it's just the twitching I get every time I think about John McCargo and JP Losman...But I'm not too keen on the Trade back into the late 1st strategy...At least not for the Bills...I'm not interested in flirting with that 3rd strike... But I am almost always in favor of a Trade down...Especially this year when I think you can get a prospect like Glenn, or Gilmore, while still picking up a extra Pick...
  18. I don't know...Maybe it's just the twitching I get every time I think about John McCargo and JP Losman...But I'm not too keen on the Trade back into the late 1st strategy...At least not for the Bills...I'm not interested in flirting with that 3rd strike...
  19. 1: Ryan Tannehill QB - Miami 2: Michael Floyd WR - Buffalo 3: Courtney Upshaw OLB - NY Jets 4: David DeCastro G - Seattle 5: Luke Kuechly LB - KC Chiefs
  20. My mind is telling me it's gonna be Floyd...My gut is telling me somehow, someway (Trade Down?), it's gonna be Cordy Glenn... Both are likely wrong...
  21. Seriously? As a freshman in 2004, Johnson was named first-team All-ACC...As a Soph he was 1st Team All-American, and a Biletnikoff Award semifinalist...In his Jr year Johnson had 1200 yds and 15 TDS...He was a Consensus All-American, won the Biletnikoff, and I remember at least a couple Scouts saying he was the best prospect WR ever...Like...in...forever... Pretty incredible resume coming out...That's why I cringe when I hear comparisons to players like Johnson...He's one-of-a-kind... Just saying...
  22. Exactly what I was going to say... It would be a discussion if the Bills were going to Draft one of them, let alone all four...
  23. I would not bet on that if I were you...It's at very least a 50/50 chance regardless of what we do in this Draft...It's a stretch to assume any of these Rookies will be able to beat out Hairston early in their career...We'll see though...
