  1. Agreed 100%... And honestly...Despite the old-school-Gailey-era-garbage-theory I heard spewed this AM on WGR by Joe B (And I like Joe B...I just disagree with his take on this point...) about how important Brad Smith's leadership is in this locker room...If the Bills final Roster does not include those 6 WR's you listed, I'm going to be pissed off...Not that it matters, or that it's any surprise that I'm angry...I'm pretty much angry all the time... This is a new era...A new talented Coaching Staff that...hopefully...has their eyes on a future prize much bigger than the leadership a part-time WR, and solid Special Teams player, is going to offer the locker room for one season...Brad Smith is no better than the 4th or 5th WR on ANY NFL team...Easley and Rogers have legit #2 WR skills...Granted that may take time to develop...But those skills are not going to develop at all sitting behind a 30 year old jack-of-all-trades-type... I like Brad Smith...But sorry Joe B...This is not Ralph/Gailey's Bills any longer...And it's time to move on from these past thoughts and theories that led to years of losing...Give these Coaches the most talented kids and let them grow up together...I think that's the way this team should be built...And with that being said...No way would I cut Rogers or Easley...
  2. Exactly!!!
  3. Exactly... I don't disagree about Smith...but he's caught in a numbers game on a young team that is looking to grow together...Plus...He's never been and every-down WR type...When the Bills are ready to really compete Rogers and Easley will just be entering their prime and Smith will be 32 years old...For this team, at this time, I don't think it makes much sense to keep Smith over Easley, or Rogers...And this is a good thing...It proves The Bills are getting better talent-wise... I have a feeling Brad Smith will be a NY Jet on opening day...
  4. Agreed...Rogers may be more of a project, and there are certainly some issues concerning his attention span, but you can see the kind of talent this kid has...I think Rogers situation is similar to Dez Bryant in that you're going to have to put up with some serious growing pains...But when he steps on the field he's going to be better than most of the guys covering him and he knows it, they know it...Everyone knows it...He's a kid...He's going to have to take his lumps and most importantly stay clean off the field...But if everything clicks he's a possible #1, and for sure a solid #2 NFL WR...You simply can't give up on that kind of a talent just because he's a slightly immature rookie...Especially considering this is a team with an eye on being really good in a year or two...They can and should be patient with Rogers...Even better news for Rogers is the obvious talent Easley has become...That should allow the Bills to cut Brad Smith, and keep Rogers as the last WR on the Roster...
  5. No question you're right...And obviously the book is still unwritten on these two...but the fact they both looked very aware, calm, and considering it was their first NFL look...No question that speaks volumes for Marrone and Hackett... But I will give a quick tip of the hat to the Bills Scouting Dept on Tuel...It was obvious the Bills were high on him during the Draft process...And I was kind of wondering...well...why? Now I see why, and this is a kid who went undrafted...I'm pretty sure the Bills knew that was a possibility, and jumped at the chance to sign him...That's good scouting...Because at this point, even if Tuel only ends up being a decent back-up, it's a great find...
  6. He'll never make it to the PS...
  7. It's preseason...So my apologies upfront...I'm a little behind... But I have to ask...Who is this team?
  8. Over Easley or Rogers? No thanks...
  9. Exactly...Better to have an eye towards the future...Easley clearly looks like an NFL WR...And Rogers has serious upside...What do the Bills lose by cutting Smith besides experience? Smith is not an every down WR-type...I like Smith's versatility, but I don't think that matters much to this staff...No wildcat with this Offense...
  10. So...I'm guessing Brad Smith is feeling a bit nervous at this point...Easley looks much improved, and I don't think the Bills want to chance sneaking Rogers to the Practice Squad...That's not good news for Brad...
  11. I REALLY liked the way he took what the D gave him, and looked calm doing it...Those passes were where they needed to be to allow the receivers to get out of bounds...EJ really looked calm...Then when he knew he had to dart one for 6 he hit it perfectly...This should give him a nice little confidence boost...
  12. Nice way to finish off the half!!!
  13. Exactly... I certainly hope no one in that locker room is playing the victim card...Go out there and make a name for yourselves by kicking the crap out of Indy or Washington...It's not like they are the 78 Steelers...
  14. That poster has my vote as well... Impossible to disagree... I had it btw...
  15. Good...I'll sleep better after I take him in the 1st...
  16. He's as good as gone...
  17. I'm taking Spiller in the 1st in both my FF Drafts...Not necessarily because I think it's the best pick, but because I want him, and I don't want anyone else to get him... I better Draft well after that...
  18. This is SO true!!! Geoff Tate has proven to be one of the biggest douchebags on the planet earth...There's your proof... Exactly to all points...Great post...
  19. No...It's actually because a lot of people on this board, despite the more-than-occasional numbnut, actually watch and understand NFL football...Down in and down out...I know that comes as a surprise to some... And while Dareus has been far from a complete disappointment...He's no where near the NFL player the Bills, and most Bills fans including me, thought he would be when they drafted him #3 overall...And to your point...I would contest that the reason the Defense was not playing well...at times at least...had a lot to do with Dareus...Though he was far from the sole culprit...It was a total team effort, and he was right in the middle of it...
  20. Sounds about right...Unfortunate it definitely is...
  21. That's good news...Because he most definitely looked overweight at the 1st OTA he attended...I saw the video on the official site and had to go back a few times to look at it again...I swear he looked 360 plus...
