Eric Davis (NFL AM) predicts Jets sweep Bills in 2014
KOKBILLS replied to Jerry Jabber's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
This Bills were Justin Rogers away from sweeping the Jets last year even with EJ's poor performance in NJ... Eric Davis knows nothing...He shall pay for his indiscretions...He shall pay!!! -
There's nothing more important than sincerity when you're crushing on someone...

Taylor Lewan Charged With Assault?
KOKBILLS replied to BIllsNation's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
To be fair, it's coming out now because he was charged with 3 counts of assault...I'm a Michigan fan and believe me when I tell you I have no interest in hurting Lewan or taking the other side...But you're right...The Ann Arbor police wanted nothing to do with charging Lewan...Then it was investigated further and he was charged with assault (2 charges) and aggravated assault (one charge)...I've read just about everything you can possibly imagine concerning the incident...And all I can say is there are two very, very different accounts of what actually happened...Not saying which one is accurate...Just saying... -
I don't disagree if they can get Spiller at a decent rate...It's not going to be an easy decision though...It's going to depend greatly on Marrone and Hackett and how they view CJ...I like CJ a lot...Always have (followed his career at Clemson very closely and saw him live a couple times), even though I was very much against the Bills Drafting him (I just don't believe stockpiling talent, especially at RB with 1st round picks, is effective team building)...But that's all the past now...In my mind the question still remains whether or not CJ is truly a feature back, or if he is much more suited to a Darren Sproles-type of role...Which a heck of an important role on a good team...Anyway...We'll see...

The OP said 40 or later JPS...Follow the rules or risk being disqualified... And Aaron Murray is most definitely outside the top 40 on most boards...
-
That's a good one too!!!

First off...no offense...But there's rarely a context I don't understand...We're just going to have to disagree on the bolded text and move on...I simply don't see that happening...If the Bills win Whaley will have a great chance to stay...If they lose...not so much...It won't be dependent on this pick...Certainly not dependent on this pick alone...

I like CJ...I think he's a good kid...But how could he not understand that saying he's going to reach out to Byrd is just about the dumbest thing he could possibly say in this town at this time? Good grief...

Why? Do we really need to go into the list of RB's Drafted after the 4th Round that have had success in the NFL? Our most popular player happens to be a RB that was not even Drafted...I'm not saying I'm against taking a RB in the 2nd or 3rd...But it's never going to be a must...

I have a few... Jordan Matthews - WR Phillip Gaines - CB Ahmad Dixon - SS Jack Mewhort - OT Telvin Smith - OLB Trent Murphy - DE/OLB Max Bullough - ILB A.J. McCarron - QB Tre Mason - RB That's just off the top of my head...

Oh I think Mack is much better than Mosley don't get me wrong... Just talking about Tampa Bay possibilities at #7...And of course my assumption would be that Mack is gone by #7...
-
I think Lovie would welcome a trade down to somehow land CJ Mosely...I'm just guessing...But Lovie and Mosley seem like a perfect match for what he likes to do on Defense...
-
I think he's the pick if he's there... But I doubt he'll be there unless there is a crazy run on QB's and Sammie Watkins falls to Tampa Bay...I've been reading a lot about the Bucs pick...There are Tampa fans who feel they already have a definitive #1 WR and the smart move would be to get one of the elite OT's and grab a WR at #38 because the depth at WR is much better than the depth at OT this year (sound familiar Bills fans?)...But I think for the same reasons many Bills fans have favored Evans, the majority of Bucs fans feel the same way... One thing that is interesting about the Bucs situation is they have a new, experienced HC who is a Defensive guy...The Bucs Defense was right in the middle of the NFL last year...But they have to deal with the Saints, Panthers, and Falcons in Division...I'm 100% certain Lovey would not mind adding a top Defensive talent at #7 overall...The question is will there be anyone there that rivals Evans or one of the OT's in their minds?...And I'm guessing the answer to that question will be no...Which leads me to the possibility of a Tampa Bay trade down...There are also some Bucs followers who seem to think they will look to trade down a bit...The move from #9 to #7 wont cost much...That may be a trade up for the Bills to consider...
-
They're not looking at Fuller as a possibility at #9...That much I can pretty much guarantee...In a trade down, or in the 2nd maybe (if he slides a bit)...But not at #9...No way...

I personally would love it! Of course literally 95% of my wardrobe is black...So admittedly I'm the wrong person to ask about this...

I find that...generally...when you post about the board instead of posting about the Bills specifically...you veer down a dangerous path of no return...

We're all hoping so... I'm noticing the thing that gets lost with most of the EJ detractors is that some of the folks who backed him most last off-season (Mayock, Buddy, etc...) admitted he was a project and a bit raw...I think Mayock, who was really in EJ's corner, explained it best... "You can mold him into something special. He's raw...But he's that piece of clay where you take him and you can turn him into what you want..." Now...Does that sound like he's referring to Andrew Luck? Of course not...We were warned, and some of us warned the rest of our Bills brethren, that EJ was going to take some patience...He's a real smart, real hard working kid who cares...We have to give him the benefit of the doubt and hope for the best knowing what we know, what he came into the NFL as, and what the plan was all along...

Are the Quarterbacks going to start dropping?
KOKBILLS replied to GunnerBill's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
We'll see...But I really doubt that very much...Admittedly I've been wrong before...But history is on my side...Especially when QB prospects hold consensus 1st round grades like Bortles, Manziel, and Bridgewater have throughout this process...Even in years when no QB has held a consensus 1st round grade they still get over-drafted...Look no further than EJ last year for an example of that... With every team that passes a QB the next team that needs one has the opportunity to get their guy...It's still the most important position...And if teams are going to assume these QB's are just going to continue to fall they'll get left out, or they'll have to settle...Teams like Tennessee and Dallas (I can't imagine they would pass on Manziel) come into play when they normally would not be in the QB picture...Cleveland has another 1st Round pick...Teams trade back up into the 1st from the top of the 2nd...The waters get muddied fast...I can't wait to see what Houston is going to get if they don't take one of these guys at #1. Because by the time they Draft again it could be down to the 5th or 6th QB when they could have had Bortles/Manziel and a very good prospect at #33...I'm just not on board with the love for Clowney (or any other positional prospect) over a QB, if QB is a major need on that team...There are plenty of examples of teams who have had monster years from DE's, WR's, etc, only to miss the Playoffs because their QB play was lacking... It would be a HUGE shift in philosophy almost league wide if these QB's slide...In just the past few years we have seen plenty of QB's get over-drafted because teams know in the end it's worth the gamble...You don't have to pay them like you used to, and if you hit on one nothing is going to make a bigger difference in your teams success long term...Maybe the Gabbert's, Locker's, and Ponder's have scared teams off...But I'll believe it when I actually see it... -
If I'm Easley I would do exactly what I do best...Go out and and make big plays on ST's as a gunner...He's got a very specific skill that makes him a REAL hard player to cut...Due to that I honestly do not see the Bills keeping either Barden or Graham over him this year if it comes down to that...He does not have to play WR much...They'll keep one or two guys on the practice squad for emergencies at WR...But he'll play on almost every ST's unit and play very well there...It's an undervalued skill for a bottom of the roster spot...Championship teams need players like Easley...I really don't think he's got a lot to worry about unless another WR can fill his spot on ST's...Then he would be in trouble...
-
I'm not so sure...After last year, and what Marrone said about needing core ST's players, I think Easley has a BIG lead on that last WR spot...It's pretty much a given that Williams takes Hogan's spot...If another WR comes in I would imagine Graham will be feeling the heat more than Easley...But we'll see...
