  1. Interesting... I've always felt Mayock adjusts his rankings based on what he hears as much as what he sees...He's got 2 QB's in the top 15 (Manziel at #10, and Bortles at #15)...QB's generally get over Drafted...So I think there is still at least a decent chance two go in the top 8...And that's good for the Bills...
  2. What an incredibly awesome quote to open an article!!!... "You know, I think we can all agree that the offseason is way too long. It leads to players with too much time on their hands getting in trouble. Sometimes it's with the law, sometimes it's with their own team, and sometimes it's ... whatever the hell this is..."
  3. OK... So far there are 66 people who have voted against Drafting Manziel on a Buffalo Bills message board...All of whom obviously are not "true" Bills fans...Sounds like an awful lot of really bored folks on the internets today...
  4. Love the 1st two picks and Hill in Rd. #4... But Henderson is a train wreck waiting to happen...His red flags have red flags...I'd rather have Lawrence or Murphy there... And I'm not sure Sam gets Drafted at all, let alone in the 5th Round...
  5. That's the advantage of being the owner!!!
  6. Like I said it's long, long-shot...But it would be SO sweet!!!
  7. I keep hearing that ultimately...it's Haslam's pick...In that he's going to have veto power...If he agrees with the pick all is good...But if not he's going to have a major voice...That's why he streamlined everything...
  8. Though the Bradford to Minnesota thing may not help much if it comes true...That's one team removed from the QB needy pool...The hope would be for St Louis to take Manziel at #2 causing the other QB needy teams to panic...The best case scenario would be for Manziel to go #2 to St Louis, Bortles #3 to J-Ville, then Cleveland takes Carr at #4...It's a super long-shot for all that to happen...Maybe a million to one...But boy oh boy would it be good for the Bills... 1. Houston - Clowney 2. St Louis - Manziel 3. J-Ville - Bortles 4. Cleveland - Carr 5. Oakland - Robinson 6. Atlanta - Mack 7. Tampa Bay - Watkins 8. St Louis - Matthews 9. Buffalo - Evans
  9. Oh goodness...That's not a good stat...
  10. Agreed...But I did read somewhere that Manziel's numbers inside the pocket were surprisingly good when compared to the other prospects...Maybe I'm mis-remembering...He does bail too much prematurely...I think it's just a matter of discipline with him and creating an Offense he can be comfortable with... He's a risk...No question...And it's going to take an organizational commitment along with some maturity on his part...But based purely on his abilities there is no reason he can't be as good as Russell Wilson if he tones it down and becomes more cerebral...
  11. And the best QB he coached was McNair...Which was a bit of a gamble pick at the time as well...
  12. I like him a lot as well... So many excellent possibilities at #41...And that's even without counting the few players who will likely fall through the cracks...It happens every year...Cordy Glenn is the perfect example of that...And this is the exact reason why I am so adamantly against giving up #41 to move up in this Draft...Too much talent...Get an extra pick if the top 8 does not go our way...This Draft is the one to do it in...
  13. But from now on stay away from my cats...
  14. Bradford showed serious signs of starting to figure it out before the last injury...Just have to keep him upright...Which is no small task mind you... And on another note...maybe it's just me...but I can totally see Fisher falling in love with Manziel...I'm not sure exactly why I feel that way...But I can see it for whatever reason...
  15. I SO want this to be true just for the drama...It would make for one of the best Draft stories in recent years...Especially if it caused a team to move up to #1, or for Houston to stay put and take a QB at #1...It would be awesome... The only thing that makes me think it's not going to happen is the fact that it came out today...This would seemingly be the kind of move that you want to keep under serious wraps...Because by all accounts it was looking like Houston was going to be stuck at #1 and taking Clowney... We'll see I guess...But at the absolute least things just got interesting for the NFL Network tonight...
  16. Casserly is quickly becoming the "old curmudgeon" of NFL experts...While I realize there is a chance for things to fall out of Manziel's favor...The truth is projecting him to the 2nd round is a real big reach at this point...All it takes is one...
  17. The only thing that makes me wonder about this deal is what it does to Houston, or any other team that may have been thinking secretly about moving up for Manziel...Because if this rumor comes true it's time to put up or shut-up...If you want Johnny Football you better take him at #1...Granted St Louis could still wait...But who would gamble on that if the really wanted Manziel? This would make the next few days thrilling to watch!!! I'm SO hoping this rumor is true!!! Bradford played very well before he got hurt...albeit again...last year...7 games...14 TD's to only 4 INT's and a 91 QB rating...He was showing signs of being the QB he was Drafted to be...However brief...
  18. If the Bills got CK in the 2nd round I would seriously have to move all the stuff out of my living room in order to have room for multiple back-flips!!!
  19. Well then...That would be interesting... So...They use #2 overall for Manziel I would assume...If they truly like him that much I can't see them chancing him still being around at #8...And then they still put themselves in place for one of the three OT's at #8... BYW...I think this would be brilliant on the part of St Louis...Bradford has not come close to living up to #1 overall, and he can't stay healthy...With that Defense and Manziel who knows? Could be special... But...What happens if Houston takes Manziel at #1 now?...
  20. Whatever the reasoning, I want nothing to do with Beckham Jr...And I'm not saying he's a bad player either...Clearly he's a good prospect...This would be a situation where my personal team-building philosophies get in the way of my ability to be happy with The Bills... I just think it's a duplication of skills for this team as it is constructed currently...I think when you look at the WR's the Bills have brought in to challenge for a roster spots recently it's all the proof anyone needs that they would like to get bigger at WR...If they take Beckham in the first what does that mean for Flash and Woods (Graham could just pack his bags...he's done with this pick)? Because it's not only a WR, it's a WR that is similar (not exactly the same of course...but there are similarities) to those two both in size and skill...Plus they would be taking a similar WR prospect with a 1st round pick...So...There's no hiding him to develop his skills or anything like that...He immediately needs to jump Woods and Goodwin on the depth chart...It's not like Mike Evans, Ebron, or even Kelvin Benjamin where you can run things for them specifically because of height, length, leaping ability, hands...etc...Beckham is going to fit into a slot that Goodwin and Woods already occupy...And both of those guys are here for another 3 years minimum...On top of that there is a very good chance that one from Stevie and Mike Williams will be gone after the 2014 season, which would leave the Bills even smaller at WR... I don't know...Beckham Jr. makes no sense to me at all...I would be less than thrilled to say the least...To me it would be lousy team building...The good news for The Bills if they do Draft Beckham...I've been wrong before...Once... I'm a pretty big supporter of Kouandjio in a trade-down scenario...I do not think he will last till the 2nd round though...
  21. Clowney has said that his preference is for Atlanta to trade up and get him... I'm still not sure Atlanta is going to give up much to get up to #1 overall...The Julio trade got them a great player, but losing 4 net Draft picks...two of which were premium picks (1st and a 2nd)...certainly contributed to their nosedive (along with the injuries)...It will be interesting to see if Atlanta gives up a future #1 again...It would seemingly take a minimum of Atlanta's #1 in 2014 and 2015, along with their #2 this year to get up to #1 overall...I think if Atlanta can get a bargain they'll do it...Otherwise I kind of doubt they have the stomach for it again...
