  1. Sal mentioned this a couple hours ago...Been there...It sucks...If you're human...and you love your animals...it's awfully tough to just put that aside and go about your business...At least for a few days it is...
  2. Exactly... The thing is he dismisses EJ's chances with such certainty...If you did not know any better you might actually believe the guy knows what he's talking about... Like I've said before...He should stick to hockey...
  3. Right...Coller was at it again this morning with his anti-EJ agenda...but there was a twist... In an early segment Coller (and Howard to a lesser extent) were both backing Cassel as the back-up...Coller was once again, regurgitating his stance that EJ can't be trusted and when/if he gets in and blows a game for you (which in his opinion is obviously a forgone conclusion) your stuck if Cassel is gone... Then Sal comes on...And to my surprise, and obviously to Coller, Sal backs EJ 100%...He even says that he has had a change of heart when it comes to EJ and points out that in his opinion the coaching is making a big difference...He now trusts that EJ should be the back-up...And says if that is the case there is zero reason to keep Cassel...So... Now I'm expecting it...Here comes Coller with his anti-EJ rant and his QB analytics and algorithms pointing out how EJ can't get better...I just know he's going to mention how EJ is not to be trusted no matter what you see in preseason...I'm certain he's going to use that Houston game argument and point out how if EJ gets in he'll just lose you the game all by his lonesome...But instead...Nothing...He just kind of ignores the fact that when anyone other than Sal has that exact same opinion he completely disagrees...But when the football guy...the coach says it...well then...no argument I guess... Whatever...
  4. You never know with kickers though... Sometimes you get lucky like the Bills did with Carp...But the performance so far this year, and the injury factor is a bit worrisome...And like I wrote earlier it's not like Carp has been money his whole career... So...Could this be his time to slide back? I'm not saying I think he will...I'm just saying...He's a kicker...Who knows?
  5. He is in a competition though...not saying he will get cut...Just saying... Word...
  6. I don't think he loves the idea...No question he would rather not... I think too...The Bills do have some really good kickoff coverage guys...So...That may play into it as well...
  7. Maybe Dustin Hopkins gets cut?...
  8. The worry with Carpenter is...as good as he is when he is on...and that's VERY good...he still kicked his way out of Miami...These last two years in Buffalo he seemed to put it all together...But when you look back a bit it does get a little scary...Especially when he's struggling a bit...It's tough...Because the last two years he was money...
  9. Ya...Agreed...But TSW might be the wrong place to look for that sort of thing...
  10. Interesting... He reminded me a little of Terrell Davis when I first saw his College highlights...
  11. Rogers turned 25 in December of his 1st starting season...Manuel turned 25 in March... I want to preface this by saying I'm really excited about TT...I hope that kid tears it up...I never really expected EJ to get the start to begin the season...I do however think he should be the backup this year...I think it's smart to keep him tapped in to Roman as much as possible... I find it a little depressing almost that this whole EJ thing has made me not want to listen to WGR a week before the regular season...I love this time of year and want to hear as much about the Bills as possible... So now they have Sal...The one guy in there that actually has some real football knowledge...telling them EJ is improving...A fact that to me truthfully seems pretty clear...I mean...I remember what EJ looked like in preseason last year under the college guys...He certainly does not look that way this year...And even with Sal's blessing it's not enough for a guy like Coller who obviously knows better because he ran a QB algorithm... Sometimes I guess you just have to laugh...
  12. Ha! That's exactly what I was thinking...
  13. Why this concept is so hard to understand for some Bills fans and local media is well beyond my ability to comprehend...
  14. Right...That's it...His obvious limitations as a young QB in the NFL...Who would have figured that could happen?
  15. It's amazing how a non-local perspective completely differs where EJ is concerned...The other day on NFL Network Jaime Dukes was strongly suggesting the Browns go after EJ hard...It's obvious to football people outside of Buffalo...I just don't know wtf is going on here with the kid...It's like they are truly trying to run him out of town...
  16. These idiots...Coller included...have simply dug in their heels and now they are going to lengths to back-up their assertions because (it's pretty obvious to me at least) they realize they realize their opinions are contrary to a greater portion of Bills fans...And I think also this is what stubborn people do when they realize they could be wrong... And please don't get me wrong...I'm not saying whatsoever that the greater portion of Bills fans believe EJ will become a Franchise QB...Heck...I really have no idea...Instead I believe the majority of us think it's absolutely ridiculous to make any definitive judgements based on his first two years in the NFL under a couple college coaches trying a run first offense that can't run the ball...That's all...I think the majority of us see EJ improving under good coaching and are quite frankly enamored with the possibilities if the kid actually has started the long trek towards his potential...
  17. It never ends with that bunch... Like I said before...Not really sure what EJ Manuel did to these guys...But it must have been something really bad.... Or...maybe...It's simply a case of these idiots being caught up in what I'll call the "Russell Wilson Syndrome..." I'll define the RWS as the belief that any prospect QB will be able to show definitively whether or not they will be a Franchise-type QB within their 1st 16 starts...And...If they do not show this ability quickly any and all improvements after the first 16 starts will be considered too little too late...The RWS does not take into consideration coaching, supporting cast, play calling, or the ability to run the ball...It's a gut feeling your get by scientifically using the eyeball test and a mixture of the finest tea leaves...
