  1. I'm unsure if the Bills know what they are doing...However I have an unhealthy abundance of confidence that I know what I'm doing... I'm interested in who these duds are because no matter what there is going to be one heck of a good D-lineman available at #19...It literally does not matter how this Draft falls...There will be a premium D-lineman available that fits Rex's scheme much better than Mario did...It's pretty much a lock...Whether it's Robinson, Reed, Butler, Jones, Rankins, Nkemdiche (assuming he's not taken off their board)...One of them will be there...And the Bills are in desperate need of that 3rd D-lineman that can play up and down the line in any front...Not to mention there's at least an outside shot that Shaq Lawson will be there...Remember Rex had Richardson and Wilkerson in NY...Also remember a key piece to the Bills D-line is 32 years old coming off a knee injury... I don't mean for this to be a knock on Alexander...It's certainly not meant to be...And I recognize you see something special in the kid...But I feel the same way about that possible pick as I did when the Bills Drafted CJ Spiller while Lynch and Jackson were still on the roster and in their prime...I don't see it as wise team-building when you have BIG needs elsewhere that can be filled by prospects with similar or better grades... Yes! I would double love it!!!
  2. Very strange...First time I've seen Correa in the 1st...I'm sure I've missed a couple though...
  3. If Correa goes before Jones in this Draft I'll eat my... Nevermind...
  4. I mean...Without even reading this yet I'm really hoping he was just referring to athleticism solely...
  5. You would love it? I gotta ask why? Especially considering this is a less-than-great CB class and there is sure to be excellent D-Line prospects available at #19...Guys that would play almost every down...You would be Drafting a guy that would be competing for no more than the Nickel Back position at #19...And even at Nickel he would have serious competition...It literally makes no sense unless they are 100% convinced Gilmore is gone...And even then you're basically sitting #19 for a year...It's not exactly premium roster building... I'm one of the stroke guys... I don't hate the Trade Down...Or the players in the 2nd...I REALLY like Fackrell...But no D-line the whole draft? Is anyone aware we basically have 3 defensive Linemen total and one is 32 years old coming off a knee injury? And no way Rashard Robinson lasts till #218...
  6. Good stuff...I heard this guy on Ross Tuckers Podcast...Very interesting...
  7. Ragland is a good player...Unquestionably...But the jump is steep...And the Bills already have a player that is similar to Ragland in Preston Brown...And before anyone gets crazy I know Ragland is the better prospect...He'll probably be a better pro...But in Rex's Defense...heck in the NFL period...the vast majority of downs there is only going to be one "inside" LB on the field at a time... And raw numbers matter when you are comparing him against the 3 to 4 players that the Bills will likely be looking at when their pick comes around at #19...I just don't think he's going to stack up against a D-lineman who will be in there on most downs with Dareus and KW...And the top of this Draft is loaded with those kind of D-linemen...LB is a need...But the last thing you want to do is pass on a better player...in another area of need btw (unless of course you ignore all those downs Mario Williams played last year)... I certainly don't want to sound negative about Ragland...Or Lee...Floyd for that matter...But what I see from all of them are more 1-2 down players in this Defense...In a normal Draft year I honestly would be fine with that...Because the Bills do desperately need LB depth...But in this Draft you have D-linemen that have legit Pro Bowl potential...You have guys who are potential monsters that...next to Dareus...would drastically change this Defense on all 3 downs...And IF it comes down to BPA at #19 I just can't see a scenario where any of these LB's...Ragland included...will be better than one of the many D-linemen available...
  8. I had no idea she was from Penfield? I'm from Fairport btw...Which is better than Penfield...
  9. I think Ragland is a nice player... However I'm not in favor of taking a LB at #19...And I don't think the Bills will be either...For a few reasons... Reason #1 is the loss of Mario Williams and the fantastic depth of 1st Round talent that should be available at #19...Many of whom will fit Rex's Defense better than Mario did anyway...Players like the Alabama DT's, Chris Jones, Vernon Butler, and even Nkemdicke are really nice fits for what Rex wants in a D-Lineman...Like I've said here before, think Wilkerson and Richardson... Reason #2...I just don't think any of these LB's is going to be the BPA at #19...Ragland is a good player...But he's not Luke Kuechly...Lee is on the smallish side...He would be a great situation cover-LB as a Rookie...But I'm looking for more in a 1st Round pick...Especially this year...Jones is more of a 3rd Down Pass Rush specialist-type...Any of these three would be great at #49...But I feel #19 is just too high... Lastly...I think if you look at Rex's history he values D-Line over LB...In his 6 years as the Jets HC the highest Draft pick they used on the LB position was Demario Davis at #77 overall (3rd Rd) in 2012...In that same time the Jets used three 1st round picks, and a 3rd, on D-Linemen...Rex is going to have a voice in the process of building his Defense...And this year the talent that will likely be available at #19 lines up... I'm not sure who the Bills take at #19...I know who I prefer...But we'll see...I do however think it's going to come from this DEEP group of D-linemen...And I think it's going to lean towards the tackles who can line up in any of the 3 D-line positions Rex uses in a high percentage of downs...I think the Bills are going to identify a guy who can play the majority of the snaps along side Dareus and KW...It's a huge need regardless...But I think for what Rex wants to do it's FAR more important than a two down LB...
  10. I like Bosa...He reminds me a bit of Jared Allen... That being said...I'm ultra-confident that the Bills can get a player at #19 that will have a great impact on this Defense...It may not be in the same way Bosa would...But it can still result in a much better Defense overall...And I think there is a great chance that a D-Lineman at #19 this year could turn out to be a better player at his position than Bosa will be at DE in the long run... I really love the early depth in this Draft on the D-line...So I see zero reason in any Trade-up talk for a Defensive player...
  11. But I'm sure you know it will still be a lot...Especially for a team with depth issues in need of cheap labor...ie Draft picks...
  12. OK...Seriously..All of you...SHHHHHH!!!!!! There are spies EVERYWHERE...
  13. Seriously? How new are you? I can catch you up on the past 17 years here...In a nutshell...There's been a lot of complaining...Sometimes even good discussion...
  14. With all the holes on this roster I have to say I would be well beyond pissed if we moved up to #2...It may not take as much as it did to move into #1...But it's going to take a lot...The Bills need an influx of talent in a few areas that can contribute right away, and they need cheap labor to fill out this roster...That means Draft picks...It would be stupid...Unless of course Wentz or Goff turn out to be the next Manning or Brady...
  15. I think the Bills would like to take at least 2 D-linemen in this Draft...One that can play the nose and one that can play all over...If you really look at it now the Bills have Dareus, Bryant, and a 32 year old KW coming off an injury...That's really about it...Unless of course anyone thinks T.J. Barnes or Jerel Worthy are going to turn into something...
  16. Maybe it's just wishful thinking on my part...But I think this move solidifies the fact that a D-lineman with positional versatility is the #1 need on this Bills team... I know some folks are going to be concentrating on on DE/OLB...And no question the Bills need to improve their pass rush...But if Rex is in fact going to be "all in" on his scheme he needs a guy he can move around, and someone who will be very effective doing so...Think of Mohammad Wilkerson...That's what this Defense needs... That being said I think the names to watch at #19 (I'm assuming that Shedon Rankins will be gone...and I'm also not 100% convinced he's the best fit for this role because some NT will be required) are A'Shawn Robinson, Jarran Reed, Vernon Butler, and my personal favorite Chris Jones...Nkemdiche is a picture perfect fit as well...But his off-the-field stuff is enough to scare any NFL team away...Even one with Rex as a HC...
  17. I guess it's a common name...Jones and all... This guy though...He's a 6-6-310 monster that can run and play up and down just about any D-front... https://www.profootballfocus.com/blog/2016/03/30/draft-why-we-should-all-pay-more-attention-to-dt-prospect-chris-jones/ https://www.profootballfocus.com/blog/2016/02/29/draft-pff-scouting-report-chris-jones-dt-mississippi-state/
  18. Let me just spice the list up a bit... Seriously the other names were good too...I really like Dodd a lot...But Jones...Goodness...The sky and beyond is definitely the limit...
  19. I could definitely be wrong about this...I probably will be...And the Bills don't announce their visits anymore anyway...So I don't think we can be 100% sure... But hypothetically...If the Bills were interested in the same guy I'm enamored with at #19...I would not want him anywhere close to OBD in hopes no one...no one...puts the pieces of the puzzle together...Because I think this kid is a Pro Bowl monster waiting to happen...And the way it's looking he'll be there at #19...
  20. Agreed... I think in a thinner year at his position Nkemdiche would have been a lock 1st Rounder..Probably top 15...Evan with the off-field stuff...But look at this year...Rankins, Robinson, Reed, Jones, Butler...then the NT Billings...It's just loaded...And sure most of them does not give the entire "potential" package RN does on the field...But they also don't come with a fraction of the potential headaches...And they are ALL very good prospects in their own right... Who knows...Maybe a team...like Oakland...rolls the dice in the 1st...But I think generally this year does not bode well for what Nkemdiche bring as an entire package...I would not be at surprised to see him drop into the 2nd Rd... Jeremiah and Bucky Brooks said the opposite on their last podcast...They said they hear a lot of talk about Spence...but most of it was negative...They did both seem a bit surprised by it...But I don't think he's a lock 1st Rd pick by any means...
