The fact that this thread got to 4 pages says all anyone needs to know about the overall quality of football knowledge on this board nowadays...What is going on around here? Apologies to the folks left on TSW who are in fact football-smart...And there is still plenty of you out there no question...But the minute I read the words RR and 3-tech in the same sentence I pondered what has become of my favorite place for the better part of the past 2 decades...I really miss the days of legit football conversation...Maybe the Bills futility on the field has just rubbed off too much? Maybe the day and age of twitter has played into the quick off-the-top-of-the-head thoughts that seem to be more prevalent here nowadays...I don't know...I find myself spending far less time here than I used to, but my passion for Bills football, and the NFL in general has never waned...I'm just going elsewhere more and more to talk about football... And coming from a poster who's signature has us taking a RB in the 1st?... Anyway...

Agreed! I'm not sure if it's more pro-TT or anti-Cardale...But I do know that most of my close friends are Cowboys fans...And they were running for the closest/highest bridge when Romo went down and Dak was forced in last year... That's not to say Cardale will have the success Dak did...It is absolutely to say that most Bills fans have no clue what Cardale will do when given the chance...

Add Voch Lombardi to that list... Voch had me cracking up on his Mahomes video...He fully admits Mahomes could really care less about a lot of the finer details that he will get micro-analyzed on in the coming weeks...But he seemed to like Mahomes a lot...

If they want to make QB decisions based on that we'll be looking at 27 years in no time... Not to say they won't...This is the Bills after all...

Mahomes is my guy for the Bills and I doubt it's going to change much by April... He's the one I want...And I would not be at all afraid to take him in the 1st...Preferably with a trade down of course...But if not I'd take him at 10 without hesitation... I think once he gets settled in the NFL and the bad mechanics get fixed (and it's all fixable) he's going to be special...You can't teach what he does effortlessly, and he shows zero fear...His field presence reminds me of Russell Wilson... I think he'll be better than Dak...Maybe not as a Rookie...But he certainly could be...And he's a better natural passer than Dak... I really, really like the kid...

That Atlanta D was not stopping NE late...But the offense choked that game away big time...Last possession of the 3rd Atlanta gets the ball to start the drive at the NE 41 and goes backwards...Next possession the sack/fumble on a 3rd and 1 with Matty Melt holding the ball too long...Next possession the sack and penalty takes them out of FG range...And that's that...That's how impossible comebacks happen...Two out of three drives they had the ball in NE territory, one time deep, and they get zero points...All they needed was a FG to win...Choke job...

Cannot believe Taylor is in before TO...That is such a joke... Anyway...I'm very happy to see TD get in...I thinks it's very well deserved...I hated seeing that guys career get cut short by injury...Because before that he was so dominant...I could really care less about the rest of these finalists...But I was very hopeful TD would get in...

If the Bills try to give up a plug nickle for Romo I'll projectile vomit... Tony Romo in his prime I'm OK with...But the dude is a porcelain doll now...You make your plans around him and a DE looks at him funny...Plans ruined... I'm not in favor of retaining TT on the current deal...But I'll take Tyrod back any day over Mr Fragile...

That strategy would be assuming basically the same roster, and that roster staying healthy...And that's not going to happen (at least the same roster part)...And that roster had a couple gaping holes...Especially at S and WR... What I'm saying is...It's basically impossible based on the state of the team, the cap, UFA's, TT's contract if you pick it up, and the small amount of Draft picks...It's a pipe-dream...If they pick up Taylor's option and somehow figure out how to tweak this team under the cap and squeeze out 2 more wins it would be a minor miracle, and one hell of a major accomplishment...Not saying it's impossible...But the odds are really, really against it...

That seems to be the popular theory... IMHO though...No one has properly explained exactly how you reload while taking on that TT contract, filling the roster that has 20 something UFA's opening up more than a couple needs, and only 6 Draft picks currently... So good luck with that TT is back reload...It's theory at best...But probably more like fantasy...

All due respect, I just can't see the logic in spending almost $35 million under the cap, and $over $40 million in cash the next two seasons for a QB you want to replace...If there was no Cap I'd be all for it...But we're talking about a team with 20 something UFA's and only 6 Draft picks currently...Something has to give... So if the Bills pick up the option I fully expect them to build the team around the QB...If they don't pick it up a high round QB can be expected...

EJ was not considered half the prospect Watson is...To say any different is ill-informed at best... And in no way is that meant to be an endorsement for Watson...

Exactly... This really is not that hard to figure out, and I'm shocked there is much debate about it...The Bills blew it on the tender...They were not a deep team at WR , Hogan was a valued contributor, and honestly worth the higher tender pay anyway... Hindsight makes it easier...No question...But after what the Bills went through in 2016 at WR, plus what Hogan ends up doing for our biggest nemesis...Well...Pretty clear Whaley blew this one...Not to mention they would likely have a decent chance and retaining Hogan this off-season to soften the blow when Woods leaves...

No...It's not about Wake...Or any RT the Bills put out there...It's about Mr broke-back/collarbone... At this point, instead of a nameplate Romo should have a sticker that says "FRAGILE - Handle with extreme care..." One back injury is no joke...Which I'm sure just about anyone can attest to...He's had multiple...And he's an NFL QB who will get periodically blasted even behind the best line...Which the Cowboys have btw and he still got hurt... I would not give a plug nickle for Romo...It's not because I think he's a bad QB when healthy...The risk vs potential reward is just WAY too high...
