  1. And this is exactly why he wants to get paid now. He understands this is what teams think and isn’t going to wait until they run him into the ground to get what he’s worth. By that time it’s too late for a RB. This is his livelihood and you can bet that all these posters who think he’s a heachache would be doing the same thing he is to maximize their earnings during the few years that they can make this kind of money. Not sure why posters/fans always take management’s side in these discussions, it’s odd to me. The whole, “you singed a contract, honor it” argument is hilariously one sided in the NFL. Teams cut bait on players all the time when they don’t live up to contracts yet if a player outperforms a contract they’re supposed to just be thankful and keep playing.
  2. You’ll have no argument from me there. Im not a fan or Sully, I just don’t hate him either. I was a fan of Felser.
  3. Show me the actual article not just somebody’s recollection of one and I’ll say that yeah, that’s ridiculous. It’s not like I’m going to back every opinion Sully has ever had (unlike the fans who disagree with everything he says.) But holding the team and management accountable over the past 20 seasons when they’ve been horrible is why most people hate Sully and he’s been eight way more than the faction of the fan base who always wants to put a positive spin on things. Bills’ fan’s reactions to Sully (I won’t click on his articles!) is a prime example of a population that buries it’s head in the sand when people give them information that they don’t like or want to acknowledge.
  4. When you’ve been covering the Bills for the past 20 years it does.
  5. Zero chance. Zay is, easily, the 3rd best WR on the roster. That’s more an indictment of the WR depth in the Bills than it is an endorsement of Jones though. Jones gets open all the time. Yep, his hands are suspect but nobody on the Bills except Beasley gets open nearly as often as he does. Its easier to hate on a guy who gets open and drops some balls than on a guy who rarely gets open. The guy who rarely gets open just disappears and nobody notices him.
  6. No, working fine for me.
  7. That really sucks. I don’t wish injuries on anybody...except Brady. If Brady goes down, F him. Anybody else, they have my empathy.
  8. I don’t get many people’s inability to admit they were wrong. It’s a lesson I keep trying to teach my son. Learn the phrase, “my bad” and you’ll look like less of an idiot in the long run. I hated the Allen draft pick. Hated it. I, like many here, watched all the pre-draft analysis and came away thinking he was bust city. Watching him in year one he was much better than I thought and defiantly not anywhere near busy territory. I don’t know if he’ll develop into a long term franchise guy for us but he defiantly looks the part so far.
  9. Billy knows how to find the ladies...
  10. You think Cam calls the shots? I dont like the guy but anybody competing at this level wants to play. He’s not hiding from anybody.
  11. This D is going to be very good without Clowney. I hope they don’t trade offensive assets to secure a one year rental on D.
  12. It’s interesting that he though Ford played well and Oliver struggled. Most observers had the opposite take. I wonder, what were Cosell’s pre-draft evaluations of those guys?
  13. Wait, so what happened to no helmet no football? You mean he was causing a scene for the sake of causing a scene? Who woulda thunk it?
  14. ? Paying top dollar for mediocre talent, even at QB, is a recipe for disaster. I’d let him walk and keep drafting QBs.
  15. I might thank Scott if he’d update the link to the Bills 2019 schedule. Just total laziness! ?
  16. While not insane, I think it’s your fandom that makes you confident. The team should definitely compete for a Wild Card spot and I think they have a decent chance but confidence is reserved for teams that are supposed to compete for division titles and unless Brady gets injured, that’s likely not happening.
  17. It happens when they’re younger. I’ve seen it a few times at TE where a special athlete is a rarity. At RB, most NFLers are great athletes. The other day Wade hit a mammoth hole against Colts defenders who also won’t be on the active roster when opening day arrives.
  18. I’ll rain on the parade. Wade has zero chance of making the active roster this year. I doubt he’ll ever make an active roster. Its a a great story and I admire the hell out of Wade for walking away from a sport he was fantastic at to start at the bottom in a totally new sport...but being a great athlete isn’t nearly enough to make a roster. The NFL is full of world class athletes who have played the sport their entire lives. Throw Gurley or Zeke or any top tier RB into rugby and they’d have zero chance of making a team too.
  19. Yeah, I was totally lying. I’ve been arrested 5 times and can’t get a job since I shot a guy in ‘98.
  20. I stayed until 4am closing at NYC bars plenty of times in my youth. I never had an issue. I have plenty of great memories hanging out with college friends. Pick the right places and avoid trouble and trouble tends to avoid you.
  21. Before last season Oliver was projected as contending with Bosa for #1 overall. One much publicized confrontation with a coach later and he falls to the Bills. Thank god Oliver was cranky that day or he never makes it to the Bills. We deserve a little luck.
  22. What took you so long?
  23. I saw most of his games at UCLA. While he was smart with the ball most of the time he had plenty of instances of “hero ball” too. He and Allen have that very much in common.
  24. HBO is loving this I’m sure. Ratings bonanza!
  25. To be fair, he is a 2nd year player playing for his 2nd coaching staff and in his 2nd offense in his first pre-season game. Not exactly great circumstances for a young QB. I’m guessing the game is speeding by him and his mind is just trying to catch up.
