  1. Off topic, but that "washed up" Eric Moulds has caught 37 balls for 432 yards in his last 5 games (the games since his suspension). Let me do the math for you on that. That's 7.4 receptions and 86.4 yards per game. If you extrapolate that out over a 16 game season its 118 receptions for 1382 yards. That's with the likes of Holcomb and Carr throwing him the ball. Moulds was a malcontent and a cancer in the locker room last year but the guy is not yet "washed up".
  2. But his limited vocabulary might land him a job on MNF.
  3. You don't invest those picks in a player and then throw him under the bus by putting the onus of winning on his shoulders on the road, against two division opponents, in his 9th and 10th starts of his career. That's what Mularkey would do and it isn't a good way of handling a young QB. You're comparing what Losman has done with Dilfer but forgetting one key element to this. Losman has 10 career starts and Dilfer was a 10 year vet at the time. The Bills are bringing Losman along much like the Steelers brought Big Ben along, slowly. That's the right way to do it. I really can't fathom anybody that doesn't understand this.
  4. It would be nice if Willis actually put some effort into pass blocking on occassion. That wiff he had today was embarrassing. It looked like he didn't really want to make contact.
  5. I'd say that, thus far, the Raiders and the Titans are worse than Detroit. Detriot's D actually showed something last week. No unit on the Raiders or Titans has shown a thing yet.
  6. I don't like our upcoming schedule at all except for the game vs. the Lions. The Jets aren't as bad as many here believe, the Vikes are playing solid football right now and the Bears are ripping teams apart. I liked this schedule much more before the season started as each of these teams is playing better than I foresaw.
  7. I don't think it was overthrown at all. Twice today Evans was open and decided to slow down instead of simply running under the ball. If Evans keeps running full speed it's an easy TD as the defender doesn't run up his back.
  8. Denney looks like he's found a defense that he fits his strengths. Through the pre-season and two regular season games he, finally, looks like a player.
  9. It's more like 10 weeks in a row.
  10. People need to stop looking at numbers. The coaching staff is going to call a game based on what is happening during THAT game. They won't call the same plays in another game. If the D is struggling you can bet that the O will open it up a little bit to compensate. Offensive and defensive play calling aren’t mutually exclusive. How one is doing affects the other. The idea of football isn't to put a lot of points on the board, the idea is to win. Many people forget this fine point. The Bills could certainly put up more points but is the risk worth it when the D is playing so well? I don't think so.
  11. I've had DirecTV off and on for 6 years total and I can count on one hand how many times cloud coverage or a strom has prevented me from watching TV.
  12. This is what we were supposed to get last year. Strong defensive play combined with a conservative offensive game plan that didn't put the weight on the young QB's shoulders.
  13. Oh, I'm excited about the win and think it could propel the Bills forward (at least I hope so) but I've also seen the Dolphins upcoming schedule. There's one team on it that appears to be strong (though, obviously, appearances can be deceiving). They could hit the halfway point of the season, even with a mediocre team, at 5-3.
  14. At the same time let's not write their obituary too early.
  15. The time to complain is when the conservative crap is costing the Bills the game. With the Bills up 13 points perhaps it's a bit too early.
  16. I'm not really worried about this D in the first half. I'm worried about it in the 2nd once they start to wear down. Being on the field almost the entire 2nd quarter doesn't help. Hopefully the Bills will get back to pounding the ball on O to take some time off the clock.
  17. Dolphins 24 Bills 20
  18. You know, if everybody didn't understand your question perhaps the fault lies with the person who asked the question. No, it couldn't be that. Of course, perhaps people misunderstood the question because it made no sense. "Why isn't McGee averaging 27.5 yards per attempt on every single return, can someone look at the tape?" was essentially your question. Yeah, that's a good question. Lori actually put more time into a response than this thread deserved, you should simply thank her for the info she provided and move on.
  19. I'd choose him too. I'd also choose JP over any of the QBs since Kelly. There's something to be said for hoping a guy turns into something great instead of taking the mediocre/bad guys we've had in recent history. That being said it doesn't necessarily make him better.
  20. One game, 10 offensive points...hell, let's just call him better than Ted!
  21. Buckley not a bust? The guy was horrible. He'd risk all for an int whether it cost his team big time or not. You think he's not a bust for a top 5 pick simply because he stuck around the league for awhile? I expect more out of top 5 picks than that.
  22. The sad part is that it will somehow work against us and the Miami media will be calling Mularkey a genius.
  23. With Bowen hurt there wasn't an option to keep Baker over Wire. I really wish the Bills had kept Baker over Vincent.
  24. The good news is that this a good season to get these guys battle tested. I'd much rather these guys get their welcome to the NFL this year than next.
  25. Yeah, I should have looked on the sunny side with this move. My bad.
