  1. Unless things change drastically in the pre-season, I think you keep Dan, no doubt. I'd wait till final cut-down to move/cut Hopkins though, the "let's be nice guys & give him a chance to catch on with another team" mind-set is for losers..I apologize for that last sentence in the TOTAL OPTIMISM thread.
  2. I really like Dan Carpenter, what a nice pick-up. Best Bills K since Steve Christie.
  3. Different styles. I read on this board that Hogan could be the next Wes Welker, hard to give up on potential like that.
  4. After this year, it's highly unlikely he would bring Matt Scrub with him... but that's the only positive I see.
  5. Definitely not a winner, not at all. I still give him props for far exceeding my expectations from the 1st couple years here, but this was ridiculous.
  6. Now if I didn't like you, I would've skipped past this post & just read Badol, dave mcbride, and a couple others. Seems like you take this board too seriously sometimes, but that's OK. I wouldn't recommend arguing with Badol though, you will be schooled every time.. Happy Thanksgiving!
  7. I believe the posters that cause the most trouble are the ones who don't respect other poster's opinions when they are different from their own and go into attack mode. This is almost exclusive to what you term the apologist optimists, but I call the Pollyanna dipsh#*s. When I see an irrationally optimistic post, I think what a nitwit, wrong again... but they are entitled to their opinion. When I see an irrationally negative post, I think what a nitwit, period... but they are entitled to their opinion.
  8. 1st black HC to win a SB. Like I wrote above, a PC lock. I wouldn't vote for him. True, he was severely handicapped in Indy with Peyton Gump (Big Game Chump) at QB, but he has no true excuses for the Tampa Bay years.
  9. Sad to say, but posters who are almost always wrong don't have much credibility at all.
  10. Exactly, WTF. I really don't care what the leader of your team looks like if he can win a SB for you, but come on man. Maybe if he puts this on --->
  11. I would vote for Andre, Haley, W. Jones, and D. Brooks, maybe Terrell as well. Twist my arm, & I would consider Harrison, DeBartolo, and (holding my nose) Jimmah. Dungy is a PC 1st-ballot lock (see: Warren Moon). Now that Cris Carter is in, Jerome Bettis takes over as my most cringe-worthy candidate.
  12. Carter was a very nice WR, but I don't think he scared anyone. You didn't have to gameplan for him like you did for Randy Moss. 'All he ever did was catch TDs" lol. OTOH, you had to account for Reed at all times. If you didn't you would get burned.
  13. Cris Carter never dominated games, but he's in the HOF. So is Art Monk. I would put Andre in way before either of those guys.
  14. Outstanding, love them all. I was going to do everything within my power to fire Littman, but if you can get rid of Ralph, the job is yours.
  15. Thanks, good read. Dare to be great, open it up.
  16. No doubt he/the Bills need to accomplish a whole lot more for him to get considered. He's off to a nice start so far.
  17. Agreed. I don't think there's a GM out there stupid enough to bring him in. The only way I can maybe see it happening is if Goodell asks an owner for a big favor.
  18. The only curse on this franchise is the Curse of the Ralph. Every successful period happened in spite of him... and he was responsible for bringing those successful periods to crashing halts. Letting Knox leave, firing Polian, benching Flutie to name but a few. New ownership is the only hope of having this curse exorcised.
  19. IMO his meddling ruined TD. If he would've just left TD alone to do his job, we wouldnn't be looking at 13+ years with no playoffs.
