That doesn't surprise me. If it happens though, it doesn't necessarily mean that EJ is out of here. If he's not ready, maybe a little time watching on the bench could be helpful for him in the long run.

It's not just about personnel decisions. Harbaugh would be able to choose between several NFL organizations... and like any other top-notch candidate, he would most likely steer clear of a proven loser like Russ Brandon. Now, if Brandon is completely out of the picture, say back in marketing... maybe.

Depends on just how bad he would look, but if he is brutal, I would pull him as early as after the 3rd game (reference: JP after the 2007 Steelers game).

I left Buffalo for college in the late 70's. Right now, I have lived in N. Baltimore County for close to 25 years. I'm not a Ravens fan at all, but almost all of my friends are, and I'm happy when they are happy... good times around here after their SB wins for sure, so the Ravens are OK with me. Last year's Bills-Ravens game was sweet though, I talked trash for a month lol.

Agreed. That season was a perfect storm for Tebow. Orton is far from elite, but he has always been serviceable IMO.

Best: 10-6 WC (EJ progresses OR Orton performs just good enough after a quick hook, Marrone & Whaley stay, Brandon leaves for a league office job ) Worst: 3-13 (EJ is horrible/gets hurt & Orton is horrible OR EJ is horrible and no hook for Orton, Marrone, Whaley, & Brandon gone) Most Likely: 8-8 (EJ gets the hook but not in time to make the playoffs, Brandon & Whaley stay, Marrone maybe)
