  1. Kyle Orton did go to Purdue, QB U. but he looks too much like JP so I will have to say NO.
  2. Outstanding! Well, if EJ doesn't pan out (and it's not looking good right now), I give you props, since you emphatically called it back then.
  3. Yep. If things don't end up greatly improving there this year, it's a monumental blunder on Doug Whaley's part & easily grounds for dismissal.
  4. No, now is not the time to panic. Week 1 is still two weeks away, and even after that, this is still a year of transition....plenty of time for all the underachievers (on the field, on the sidelines, & in the front office) to prove that they deserve to stay under the new ownership. If they fail to do so & the new ownership still keeps them? That's when it's time to panic, for nothing will have changed. Until then, I'm just kicking back & watching.
  5. I don't know about those 2, but I agree that the team will have many more desirable candidates available than before, The problem wasn't the Buffalo region, it was having to work for the worst owner in the league.
  6. Perfect response. Of the 3, it appears to me that Whaley is the most worthy of staying. On paper, the team appears to have more talent than any Bills team since at least 2003. On the field last year, the actual results were lacking, If there isn't significant improvement this year and especially if (God forbid) this team tanks like 2003, I have no problem seeing him go with Marrone.
  7. Sad news, I'm sure she's back with Bogie again after so many years. RIP.
  8. 49ers and Ravens did as well. I've heard nothing but good comments from the Ravens' players on the local sports here... though they did get to stay at home. I don't know how the 49er players felt about it, but I can see where they wouldn't like being on the road so far away for so long. I don't think Fred would care so much if the scrimmages were in WNY instead of Latrobe.
  9. Well, there's always the franchise poster...not really hate, but you know what I mean. I'll stick with EJ for now based on potential, though I still say the much-maligned Fitz was the best Bills QB since Flutie. Tragic but true.
  10. My strategy will be the same, either watch it at a bar or just find an on-line stream. I'd rather not deal with any Customer Service reps if I don't have to.
  11. 1. High Motor2. Lunch Pailer 3. Playing a skill position That's 3 strikes against him for some. Other than an occasional slam here & there, I don't hate him... but until he finally does something on the field in a game, I'll continue to be unimpressed.
  12. Nice post Badol. As always, your analysis is a must-read, spot-on & greatly appreciated.
  13. I think there's a huge difference for most 'pessimists/realists' between watching the games & venting/talking smack about them on here. As much as I slammed Brain Dead Drew on this board, I never once wanted him to do bad when the game was on. It's really so simple. If EJ starts looking consistently good, most of the criticism will die down (not all, but most). Until then, the noise is just going to get louder & louder until he either looks the part & turns it around or is gone. As usual, those who don't like the noise better learn to deal with it, because people are going to vent.
  14. Hmmm... 1. Zero mobility. 2. Intelligence issues. and most importantly 3. Epic choker at crunch time in big games. I would once again have to say NO.
  15. Exactly. But that's in the past, here's to brighter days!
  16. Roosevelt is back too, but I give him a lot of slack after that play he made against the Giants, that was pretty sweet. I used to religiously trash Coy Wire till he blocked that punt to help beat the Felons, then I backed off. If Hogan makes this team again and finally looks impressive in a regular season game, I'll be cool with him too.
  17. Ted had a pretty pedestrian beginning to his NFL career with the 49ers... but he did finally develop into a very good to great player with the Bills, and he sure did play at a high level for a very long time. If DL-men like Fred friggin' Dean & Cortez Kennedy can make it into the HOF, then Ted can too, he was better than either of them. If it ever happens, I think it'll end up being a pretty long wait though.
  18. I thought he looked great on that live NFL Network interview a few minutes ago. Maybe my imagination, but I liked how he kept his back turned away from Irvin after MI brought up the 4 SB losses.
