  1. I thought it was a great big POS myself. I'm not an Elton John fan though, especially as a person, , but I do like most of his hits. When the end credits rolled and I saw he was executive producer, I said "yep."... very self-indulgent. Bohemian Rhapsody was better, and off the top of my head in this 'genre', The Doors blew both of them away.
  2. Peyton Gump will have to take a seat to Johnny U, and I don't think he's beating Elway either.
  3. Divisional: KC @ Buffalo, Bills romp, Mahomes broken throwing arm, Andy Reid pelted with snowballs. AFC Championship: Pats @ Buffalo, Bills romp, Brady broken leg, Belichick pelted with snowballs. Super Bowl: Packers vs. Bills Bills romp, Rodgers crushed larynx, icebowl67 begs for sympathy.
  4. Too bad they didn’t have next-gen stats when Schobel was playing, I would have liked to seen how many yards he ran around LT without getting close to the QB.
  5. Butch Byrd. Absolutely no one from the 21st century teams should be considered before him.
  6. My Bloody Valentine "Loveless" is my go-to album when I just have to decompress and zone everything out. Works like a charm.
  7. I remember listening to radio in my car, back in the day before Spotify and my smart phone. I even remember 8-track tapes.
  8. I’ve got it on BD cause the price was right and I’m a bit of a completist, but Interiors was a long-time-ago one-and-done for me zzzzzzzz. Thanks, good lunch-time reading. This is my favorite part, QFT: “The Petty shows seemed particularly pointless; why did Bob Dylan need a stringy-haired sycophant onstage with him?”
  9. Ed Oliver and John Brown. I like impact players.
  10. He's always on tour, so there were plenty of opportunities, especially where I'm at in Baltimore with DC/Philly/AC/NYC close, plus he played some wild venues from minor-league baseball stadiums to small clubs to an outdoor tiki bar in Delaware (the late, great Kahunaville) AND his tickets used to be cheap.
  11. “There’s no way to measure his greatness or magnitude as a person or as a player. I don’t think any eulogizing will do him justice. He was that great, much more than a superb musician, with an uncanny ear and dexterity. He’s the very spirit personified of whatever is Muddy River country at its core and screams up into the spheres. He really had no equal. To me he wasn’t only a musician and friend, he was more like a big brother who taught and showed me more than he’ll ever know. There’s a lot of spaces and advances between The Carter Family, Buddy Holly and, say, Ornette Coleman—a lot of universes, but he filled them all without being a member of any school. His playing was moody, awesome, sophisticated, hypnotic and subtle. There’s no way to convey the loss. It just digs down really deep.” Dylan on Garcia, the day he passed.
  12. I believe I've seen him 20x, second only to the Stones... last time was over 10 years ago. His shows are definitely hit-or-miss, but catch him on the right night & your jaw will hit the floor, at least that used to be the case for me.
  13. Calling it now: when running a 3 WR offense, the best 3 WR's are going to be on the field the most... and they will be Robert Foster, John Brown, and Zay Jones.
  14. Yeah, that was the 1981 tour, I saw a few shows (but not in Buffalo), much better IMO than the Gospel tour. He played 2 shows at Kleinhans, I was at the 1st, here's the setlist: https://www.setlist.fm/setlist/bob-dylan/1980/kleinhans-music-hall-buffalo-ny-23d734ab.html Massey Hall shows in Toronto were a couple weeks earlier. If you didn't know, one of them is in the Bootleg Series 13 box from 1-1/2 years ago.
  15. Not in the last US-made Godzilla they didn't. 1998 US Godzilla movie was pretty drab too.
  16. I saw that tour at Kleinhan’s MH, people were pissed, only Gospel songs. I like the backup singers though on Saved, especially the call-and-response on the title track. To me, it wasn’t until the Dylan and the Heartbreakers tour that I thought they overstayed their welcome.
  17. Speaking of the Gospel albums, I know it’s just me, but I love Saved, one of my favs of his. It just rocks so hard, and his singing/phrasing is phenomenal.
  18. If I’m picking up lunch for everyone at work (not buying, just making a run & picking up), I will give a $5 tip on say a $60 total if they do a good job packaging and have a history of not shorting any of the orders. Everyone who orders kicks in on the tip.
  19. Absolutely. Less back story, more action. I do hope that we’ll be able to see at least some of the fights clearly enough though, not all rainy and dark.
  20. Damn straight. Now who the ***** is Candlebox? Is that a Milwaukee band?
  21. I’ve seen just about all the Dolby Cinema movies at my local AMC since I got A-List over a year ago (other than a few like Madea ), this was pretty close to the top for PQ/AQ (Wick 3 was damn good too).
  22. Nobody, but nobody says ***** you like Dylan. From the “We Are The World” session: Bob Dylan wasn’t quite as gracious when Al Jarreau introduced himself by saying, “Bobby, in my own stupid way I just want to tell you I love you.” Dylan didn’t even give poor Al a glance and walked away. Dave Breskin of LIFE magazine recounted that Al simply said, “My idol!” and started sobbing. King of attitude.
  23. It was demo-worthy in Dolby Cinema, wow. Eye and ear candy, which bumped it up a little for me. I think it might’ve helped if you saw the 1st 2 movies.
  24. My favorite Red Sox player ever. RIP.
