  1. “Stats are for losers.” - Bill Belichick
  2. No, bottom line results are what matter, they made the playoffs, and after 17 years of failure, that’s not overrated at all. Anything else you might add concerning that achievement is just spin.
  3. Sure, during and after 2020 if no big improvement. Three straight years with no playoffs > breaking the drought.
  4. Cook played during the SB-era. I would think a true student of the history of the game would’ve at least heard of him, JMO. Chris Brown is irrelevant though, so it really doesn’t matter one way or the other, again JMO.
  5. Looks like in this case, the guy is guilty.
  6. Talking Heads came to me first, but Roxy Music with Eno in the band is the one.
  7. And if they hadn't determined he was a loser, that's what might have happened.
  8. Chris Hogan did a lot more to help his team actually get a ring, and I don't miss him either.
  9. No, I’m specifically describing the ones who miss anyone from or anything about the 2001-2016 teams: any of the teams who could’ve, would’ve, and should’ve made the playoffs, but DIDN’T. Their beloved chumps couldn’t get the job done, yet they slam McBeane, who couldn’t have, wouldn’t have, and shouldn’t have made the playoffs but DID.
  10. Some people just naturally gravitate to losers.
  11. Please tell me Don Shula / Dan Marino were not ranked higher.
  12. A proven failure like Doug Whaley got 4 years. Hard to imagine McD or Beane getting any less than that from Pegs, especially after breaking the drought in their first year... something truly heinous would have to happen. As for extension, he’s only starting year 3 of a 5 year contract, too early to do anything unless maybe an AFC East title & 1-2 playoff wins. SB win, then absolutely.
  13. Cool, let’s trade him for a Day 3 draft pick.
  14. Drew Bledsoe fan... that explains a lot.
  15. Well, that certainly doesn’t help him, now does it.
  16. Yep, things can change real fast, even starting this year. Josh Allen may begin separating himself from the pack, displaying superior leadership and may just want to win more... perhaps even eventually go on to earn a ring. Mahomes may continue to put up big numbers, but never completely get the job done in January, let alone February.
  17. My 2 most memorable: 1. The immortal Todd Collins leading the Bills to a big come-from-behind last-minute win against the Colts in 1997, Rich was insane that day. 2. Home opener for Purdue against Notre Dame, 1977. Boilers were winning 24-14 in the 3rd when some 2nd-string scrub QB named Joe came into the game & put up 17 points in the 4th on the way to a National Championship.
  18. Yeah, it looked tremendous on the big screen. It may have not been as good as 2 & 3, but it got me choked up again at the end, just beautiful.
  19. Two of the worst seasons ever. I stopped gambling on football in early 2007.
  20. Absolutely loved it, loved them, and loved Jimbo... but the bottom line is they didn't get the job done.
  21. Chevy Chase Show only lasted 5 weeks, I think The Jerr was on longer. I will reserve final judgment on him until I can see The Day The Clown Cried. As for Ali, I eventually liked him when I got older, but when I was a kid just starting to get into sports, I was a Smoking Joe fan.
  22. I've seen this before with Dan Marino, and just like with Dan Marino, It don't mean a thing if you don't get a ring.
  23. For me, it starts off good, but ends weakly. Gallows Pole is great, Tangerine is tremendous. Never been a fan of That's The Way though (LZ3 or live), Br Stomp is good, but Roy Harper is skippable. JMO.
