  1. I am a good tipper in restaurants, but when it comes to paying & tipping for food delivery, I will always pick it up myself instead.
  2. There are some extra songs, but that show was basically what you get in the Stop Making Sense movie. https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Stop_Making_Sense
  3. I thought getting a Super Bowl QB like Vince Ferragamo was going to help us be a lot better in 1985. Then I remember being happy to see Bruce Mathison take his place.
  4. Awesome game, maybe Fergy’s all-time best. I was also there, great show.
  5. Exactly the way to approach it. I don’t give two ***** one way or the other what anyone chooses to do here, but if it’s going to give my team advantage, then so be it.
  6. I was at the 1997 Ravens home opener against the Jags (afternoon game after Todd Collins and the Bills laid an egg against the Vikings), he looked great in his one big game (got hurt though, go figure). https://fs64sports.blogspot.com/2013/08/1997-rob-johnson-rallies-jaguars-to-win.html?m=1 When we traded for him, I wasn’t exactly jumping up & down but I was excited to see what he would do. Didn’t take me long to move to Team Flutie.
  7. Eli Gump and Philip Rivers got traded an hour after they were drafted.
  8. I’d like to see Rodgers and the Packers go down in flames. Whether they do it together or separately doesn’t matter to me.
  9. I never liked Bledsoe in NE, but I did give him a chance the 1st year. My loathing started in 2003.
  10. There was definitely talent in 2003, we all saw it on display the first 2 weeks. All squandered away the rest of the season. That team was 100% gutless.
  11. I hear you, but to me, 2003 after the 1st 2 games was still by far the most unwatchable season for me. TD was a good football guy ruined by Ralph.
  12. I would like a chapter on Bledsoe & the 2004 Steelers game. I’d also like to read about stuff like Ralph mandating the 4th-round draft pick of Dwayne Wright in 2007. But yeah, all the Brandon-Whaley stories would be gold. License to print money, John Warrow!
  13. Great thesis! I really wish someone like Sully or Tim Graham would write a book on the drought years, revealing all the truth of what happened behind the scenes. That would be a most epic read.
  14. I really thought the Bills would beat the 3rd-string Steelers in 2004. They were so hot that 2nd half of the season, beating up scrub teams, that I was saying nice things about Bledsoe on this board.
  15. I don’t remember empty seats. I remember driving up to the game from Baltimore with some Colts fans and bumming in the 1st half, but I had the last laugh, and the last smack is always the best! Place was insane that last quarter.
  16. Yep. Stats are for losers.
  17. No wife, but everyone in his harem will be under.
  18. Not good, but I would say extending Bledsoe after 2003 was THE major blunder. In both moves, his hands were probably tied by Ralph.
  19. Was he ranting about his POS boss micromanaging every move? Good place to vent I guess.
  20. Awesome. I never saw anyone grade the XFL drafts though.
  21. A, the hits far outweigh the misses. PS. ***** the Rat, I’d rather have Josh.
  22. I was glad they won the game and yes he got the job done, but other than the ending, that was a pretty crappy game compared to Marangi 74 and Collins 97. The only time EJ really impressed me was the following year when they beat the Bears in the season opener. Not that he was great or anything, but that game was a nice surprise and it looked like he might finally progress into something. A few weeks later, he’s benched after the Texans game, go figure. EJ is just one of many Bills (like Whaley) from the TSW era that I would grow to dislike even more than normal because of this board. I would read in here how good they were when it was obvious that wasn’t the case. Classic example is Mike ‘Puddinhead’ Williams. It was a great move taking him instead of McKinnie cause he has a “mean streak. Loves to plant defenders into the turf.”, then he gets here and is softer than a marshmallow, yet people still say he’s doing good.
  23. This is the last Bills home game I have attended, sad but true. One for the ages, I was never completely down on Todd Collins after witnessing this game. https://www.pro-football-reference.com/boxscores/199709210buf.htm
  24. https://www.pro-football-reference.com/boxscores/197411170mia.htm His 1st game ever in 1974 in Miami against the 2x Super Bowl champs, took over for Fergy who I think was hurt. Bills were down 21-14, he had 2 4th-quarter TD passes to tie the game 21-21 & 28-28, Dolphins won 35-28. I saw potential! Sometimes my excellent takes just don’t work out, it happens.
