  1. Probably the home loss to Indianapolis on 11/21/21. Bills defense made a stop late in the 2nd quarter and Indy kicked a FG to make it 17-7. McKenzie fumbled the ensuing KO back to the Colts who scored a couple players later to go into the half up 24-7. Buffalo lost 41-15.
  2. It stinks that Dorsey had him not run out of bounds at Miami. Or double catch passes. Or just be a situationally unaware player.
  3. I'm not going to debate message board etiquette with you. If you can't understand that there's responsibility as a good poster to engage people within a thread you created then I'm sorry. Take the constructive criticism and move on. Or not. It's up to you.
  4. I have observed a trend with threads you start in that you never re-enter to discuss. It's just throw a subject out, let others debate, and then go away. The discussion and debate around Edmunds has continued ad nauseam to the point it's asinine The team made a business decision on a player that, yes they selected high, but who provided less than ideal value at a position of lesser importance. He was a matchup disadvantage for that defense and those who used bulk stats always missed that. He was not the player they envisioned to him to be. Edmunds the player is the first example that fans cannot have everything (player-wise) you want and that includes players drafted. Eventually the cap must be managed and they're doing it. Right or wrong, that's the issue.
  5. Yeah...start a thread with your opinion, let others debate, and then never return to engage with those who replied. If you believe something enough to start a thread then have the common decency to defend your argument. If not, I'll assume you didn't think it through much.
  6. I'd like to see the bets made on Buffalo right now from those pointing to Vegas odds as evidence this team is better. Because I wouldn't make that wager after re-signing Poyer, then signing a UFA guard, backup QB, and diminutive WR with speed. Gonna take a lot more than that.
  7. The same guys who put this team into that cap situation are the ones people here hope will acquire new players and build a better offense. Jury's out on McBeane. That would be a bold move...but I could see McD only willing to part with one of his hand-picked highly drafted guys this off-season.
  8. Whenever I see threads like this it reminds me that most people do not have or want to have a continuous improvement mindset to life. It also reminds me somewhat of the movie Hoosiers when Myra Fleener says, "I've seen them, the real sad ones. They sit around the rest of their lives talking about the glory days when they were seventeen years old." It's real nice the Bills were in the playoffs the last 4 seasons...but those days are past. It's time to look forward, yeah get excited, but demand excellence in next season and beyond. As much as I remember the 90s Bills, that was 30 years ago. Heck 2020 was 3 years ago already!
  9. When Mike Brown and John Lynch and crew are out-wizarding you, something's wrong. Maybe they're working on something, who knows, but early returns are not promising. Reeks of more of the same packaged as different.
  10. Translation: "It's hard to win in the NFL." (Credit to Richard Manuel Jauron)
  11. Real question is how many threads will be opened up to sign one of these RBs? I'd guess avminimum 3.
  12. Buffalo needs to feature a better pass blocking OL to run that sort of passing game. McGovern looks to be supporting that strategy. They were limited last season because for some reason McBeane wanted a mauling OL to run the ball with Josh. It was poorly aligned...looks like last season (and it's early) taught them they were backa$$wards on offense.
  13. This thread makes me recall when Otter tells Boon, during Bluto's motivational speech "forget it, he's rolling." What would TBD be without movie references within crazy off-season threads?
  14. McKenzie has a BBB credit rating? Never knew he was at this level and just assumed something in the C to CCC range.
  15. Why would Buffalo or the NY Jets be in the running for signing this guy?
  16. Because it took them so long to replace Mike Singletary with Brian Urlacher.
  17. The Bears truly are a crap organization.
  18. Signing UFA G's is a start, but what they do at WR tells the story. 2021-22 showed that the bare minimum + Josh won't get it done. EDIT: Like that he's mobile and solid in pass pro. Not the mauling type who's a liability on passing downs.
  19. Have college and pending UFA RB's hired a lobbyist firm that influences Buffalo more than other teams?
  20. I would like to imagine a TBD where all posters grasp that investing too much at RB is inefficient. Particularly with a franchise QB and passing driven offenses. Then I remember it is TBD. And I am sad because you cannot reach them.
  21. He whiffed on a lot of blocks this year, but at 1 year I'm not going to get worked up. Oh wait, forgot about TBD All-Star Star Lotulelei....there's the big UFA whiff.
  22. Beane is great at overpaying average talent to fill holes and using draft picks to add more average talent. No big whiffs, but a lot of singles and doubles in UFA.
  23. It's probably as hard to talk McD into another DB and re-signing Edmunds like it is offering cake and ice cream to a fat kid who just had 3 candy bars. Sure, why not...haven't had sugar in like 5 minutes.
  24. They have extended several players drafted - Tre, Dawkins, Milano, Josh, T. Johnson, and Knox for example. In 2023 that represents $100M in cap space. DL is their most valued group on the field if you base it on the number of players, cap dollars, and draft picks used. Secondary is probably next. Someone once wrote that Buffalo has used the least number of draft picks on Day 1/2 in the entire NFL. McBeane learning from mistakes...and the HC's philosophy that other areas are more important.
  25. Not clear why economy of resources continues to be misunderstood. As in, 27th might not be the best resource to use addressing the interior OL. You likely end up with a highly rated prospect at a position of lesser value and it means you use a lower value resource on a position of greater value . People seem to forget Cincinnati beat McD's defense (which had some injuries, yes) with 3 backup OL. Bungles had top-end skilled talent who provided their QB better options. More rigor in the decision making process is required beyond...let's use the 1st on OL and then presto-blamo we're good there. Nah, use it on a guy who who'll create a matchup disadvantage.
