Years ago, at least 10, during a pre-season game, the Jills came out to do their usual dance routine between the 3rd and 4th quarters. They each had a chair. And then proceeded to do what I can only describe as a lap dance without a guy in the chair. Never saw them do that routine ever again.

My parents got a windmill probably over 10 years ago. They were asked if they wanted a battery backup, and they declined, because like you said, it would have doubled the cost. As it is though, any excess power is sent to the power grid. Their meter will run backwards when this happens. My high school had solar panels on the roof back in the late 70's, early 80's, to heat water for the school indoor pool. I believe they ended up getting rid of them sometime in the 90's since they weren't really working anymore.

We just finished it this afternoon. I have not read the book, my only experience was the original mini-series. The jumping back and forth in time only lasts through the first 3 or 4 episodes. In terms of how it compares to the original mini-series, it's pretty close, but there's the additional episode at the end.
