Way back when I bought my used Ford Ranger (1998 model, bought in 2000) I wanted to get a cap for the back. Since it was a flare side, I had to go with a fiberglass cap. All the places in my area wanted about $1,000-$1,200. I decided to see if I could find one cheaper online. Calling around different places, and ended up talking to a place in Hazleton PA. The guy quotes me about the same price everyone else has, then asks if I care about what color it is. I said as long as it's not a horrible I don't. (My Ranger was that dark green color) He says he has one in red that has a factory defect, something about the paint, that he can let me have for, (pause for dramatic effect) $600. I said I'll definitely come down and take a look at it. But of course I knew I couldn't pass it up. Get there and we looked this cap all over and could not see anything defects in the paint. He still let me have it for $600 plus installation. TLDR - I drove 3 hours each way to save $600.

That sucks. I wanted to go to NO but no way the family will let me miss Thanksgiving

Not so much being cheap, but snagging a bargain when I saw it. I was at Target years ago, looking at the clearance sporting goods stuff when I saw a two burner camp stove. Typically these go for $30-$40, this was marked $15. Already a good deal. Took it over to one of those price checkers, and it showed as selling for $7.50! Score! I think someone tried to hide it to buy it later based on where it was when I found it. Their loss is my gain.

My in-laws are planning to go to the OBX next year, late July. Got lucky, we found a house with two bungalows that'll fit all 38 of us.

My wife's family is like that. We have Disney+ from one of her sisters, Hulu from her coworker, and we are sharing our CBS/Paramount+ with another sister.

I discovered this week a setting on my iPhone that will silence callers that are not in your contact list. They will still show under recent calls and can leave voice mail, so you can choose to return their call if it was something important.

Heard this the other day... And on a not serious note....

I had my second shingles shot about 10 days after my second Pfizer shot. I should have taken the next day off, I felt run down, flu like symptoms. But started feeling better that evening. I did take some ibuprofen so maybe that helped some.

Just had another concert, rescheduled from last summer to this summer, rescheduled again for next summer. Yep. Lakeview.
