  1. How is it the wrong result...? Both illegal contact and defensive holding are 5 yard penalty, automatic first down.
  2. Kinda like times when the real refs call offsides on the offense, when they really mean false start.
  3. You can say it's a BS play, but is it all that much different than when teams pretend to spike the ball, but then throw it anyway? You can argue that it's different at the end of the game because the score is already determined, but at halftime? What's to stop someone from faking the kneeldown and then going deep, catching the opponent offguard?
  4. I actually agree with this. When the "regular" refs are in there, it's completely off limits for the media/coaches/players to talk bad about them. Now that the replacements are in, it's open season. We've seen the ball marked incorrectly in Bills games in the past -- and the announcers never say anything about it. We've seen tons of bad calls against Buffalo, or phantom calls go in New England's favor, and the announcers/media never talk about it. Now that there are "replacement refs" everyone's talking about it. Hell, the "Just give it to 'em" game barely got any mention by the national media. http://espn.go.com/b...altimore-ravens Look at this issue, for example. People complaining that the FG wasn't reviewed -- yet it wasn't reviewable and the refs made the right call - but they're still getting grief.
  5. During the Dolphins/Jets game, the announcer said that kickers make it 70% of the time when they're not iced, and 73% of the time when they are iced. So no, it doesn't do anything.
  6. What the hell is a "bratwurst hot dog." You either have a brat or you have a hot dog. Dumb reporter.
  7. I thought this article (linked from the bottom of the Dish one) was funnier: http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-2206613/Chinese-hospitals-introduce-hands-free-automatic-sperm-extractor-donors-play-videos-help.html?ICO=most_read_module
  8. Do you not realize that most of those "highest income" states also have the highest cost of living...? I'd venture to guess that $57k in California is probably poverty level.
  9. Nice interview with Dan: http://forums.jokersupdates.com/ubbthreads/showthreaded.php?Board=bbnewsandrumors&Number=18756672
  10. I don't think Dan/Russel is a good analogy at all. Russel was an overall ass -- he was just downright mean to people for no reason (and based on Willie, it looks to be a family trait). There's game play: lying, cheating, backstabbing. Then there's being an ass: Calling people names, stealing from them just because, etc. He wasn't doing those things for the game, he was doing it because that's who he was. Then when he came back a second time, he played the exact same stupid game -- women are stupid, I'm the only good thing here, pay me the money. He's nothing like Dan. Dan came in the first time and played the nice Christian boy. He won. He came in the second time and played a completely different game -- took people off guard to begin with ("He swore on a bible, and he's a nice Christian boy, so he's not lying!"). I still think that the rumor that CBS told then to vote for Ian because Dan already won might have some merit. I also wouldn't be surprised if CBS told Ian the answers because they wanted him to win. Did you hear Dan ask, "How the heck did you know about the cigarette question?!" and Ian had no response for that other than, "I just did..." I take these "games" with a huge grain of salt.
  11. So the tickets are not sent via certified mail? And they have no proof that he actually received it...?
  12. Can't you ask for a court date and fight it? The red light cameras have been found to not be very constitutional in many cases.
  13. There's no Bloody Mary recipes yet, but you can change that if you remember the cookbook forum: http://forums.twobillsdrive.com/forum/70-cookbookrecipe-subforum/
  14. Good thing that never happens in real games *cough* just give it to 'em *cough*
  15. They did lose a down -- the ref SAID it was first down after the play, but the down markers clearly showed 2nd down, so they just announced it wrong. They did miss the call though -- it should've been a 10 yard penalty, but they only marked it back 8 yards (because that's where the grounding occurred). It's only marked at the spot of the foul if it's past the 10 yard mark. Minor issue. And to those complaining about the NYG/TB game -- the refs got that one right too. New rule as of a couple of years ago, but if you get touched, fall to the ground, and don't hang on - it's incomplete.
  16. My wife has had Virgin Mobile for a year or two and it works well for her as well. It uses Sprint's network, which is ok in metro areas like you said. She doesn't get very good reception when we're driving through Wisconsin (in the middle of nowhere), but for the price, it's definitely worth it.
  17. Who says the replacement refs are bad? Kraft hasn't bought them out yet, so the Patriots start to fall back to earth.
  18. I believe him though -- I think that's his best bet, tbh.
  19. Sorry someone pissed in your Cheerios this morning "webmaster." I'm pretty sure the answer to this question is "yes" because nobody could possibly be getting this pissy over this topic http://t1.gstatic.com/images?q=tbn:ANd9GcSuFMnee2eXKd4SgdIRUnnLTo_e6UqgJ-VRNw3Cae5f0KbHQIA2_84vzGZZ
  20. If you got rid of Dish... Why are you relying on Dish...? I Thought you had DTV...?
  21. Wow, that's amazing (given everything going on at the time!) and awesome. Thanks.

  23. "I got out and gave the girl some money for the cab , she insisted on paying me back and made me give her my card ( amazing at a time like this the etiquette thing still remains in some people)." Guff - Maybe a silly question, but... did she ever call you and pay you back? Just curious...
