  1. Would you leave a place where you can sell 60,000 tickets at $8/pop for a scrimmage? Can't do that in Buffalo....
  2. Number one rule of statistics - correlation does not imply causation. Installing cameras did not necessarily result in pedestrians not being killed. Speeding does not in and of itself cause accidents, injury, or death. Unsafe driving, such as tailgating, passing on the right, etc, are what cause the accidents. If I'm driving 80mph on a 65mph highway, and it's a straight road on a clear day (which happens frequently here in the midwest), I'm not being unsafe and giving a ticket is not improving safety. Most people realize this.
  3. I don't even think it was TD who released Fisher, was it? I think he went to the Rams for a few years before being cut there as well... CW
  4. As other have said, you'll probably need to put the laptop and camcorder (at the very least) in their own bin. If I were you, I'd probably put the router and cat5 cable in a separate bin as well, just to speed things up. It's a pain in the butt trying to reassemble everything when it goes through the machine, but oh well... I've noticed that the screeners seem to be friendlier recently. I don't fly much, but a year or so ago I went through the screening area and didn't take my laptop out - didn't know I had to, as there were no signs. They had to take it out, test it for explosives, and told me that in the future I needed to take it out. I appologized, and he said, "Don't worry about it. I'd be here anyway, you're just delaying yourself." Ok, that sounds kinda snotty, but he said it in a good natured way. When we flew to Buffalo in August, before walking through the metal detector the screener said, "It's recommended that you take your shoes off." My wife and I looked at each other, shrugged our shoulders, and walked through the metal detector with our shoes on (since it was only "recommended.") The woman was beside herself and mumbled something like, "I guess not..." When we got through the metal detector, the guy on the other side seemed amused by what happened and said, "I'm in a good mood, so won't check your shoes. You might have to take them off when you come back though." It was pretty funny. I think I read that they've done away with the shoe thing, havn't they? CW
  5. I'm taking down UPN and WB and turning into my own network! http://money.cnn.com/2006/01/24/news/compa...dex.htm?cnn=yes Anyone have any show ideas for me? CW
  6. No kidding.... CW
  7. Until JSP shoes up, anyway. http://sportsillustrated.cnn.com/multimedi...t/index.12.html

  9. Heh, that's funny! Although Apple really shouldn't be complaining about Gates "stealing his operating system," considering they both stole it from Xerox PARC.... Anyone else have any more cool anti-computer videos? CW
  10. This one's pretty old, but still funny. Of course, half the stuff applies to PCs as well, but still. http://www.wimp.com/macs/
  11. For most people, I"d disagree. Bill, ask your daughter WHY she wants to get a degree in psych. Lots of kids say, "It just sounds interesting," If that's the case, suggest that she can still take a bunch of psych classes if she wants, but she can major in something else. My wife has a psych degree, and it pretty much led to nothing... She went back to school to get her drug and alcohol counceling certification, so things worked out ok, but that's not really what she wanted to do. (she's now going back to get her MBA). Just find out what plans she has; if she has something specific, great! But if not, she should probably think about it a bit more. CW
  12. I could edit it so that it says he's the new coach of the Packers if I wanted.
  13. Not sure how much you think they're making, but I bet a lot of people on TSW make way more than the refs do: http://www.askmen.com/sports/business_60/7...s_business.html (and yes, I know it's parttime, but even considering that, it's not much; a LOT of prep work goes into officiating, don't believe me, put your money where your mouth is and do it yourself). Should we throw rocks through the windows of every player who drops a pass, throws an interception, drops an interception, fumbles the ball, misses a block, misses a tackle, since they make a LOT more money and are paid to do simple things like that? CW
  14. Huh? I have no idea what you're even implying here... CW
  15. Let me know where you live so I can throw a rock through your window when you make a mistake on the job, ok? CW
  16. My parents had a good feeling about that season, so actually rented a big screen for the entire playoffs -- I don't know the specifics (I was still in highschool), but it was probably a 50" screen - which was HUGE at the time! We had my relatives over for the game, my mom had sandwiches and stuff in the ktichen, and it seemed the Bills could do no wrong. It was awesome Of course, fans today would say, "Yeah, but they sucked in teh second half. We're terrible." CW PS: Read my sig if you want to see the game again...
  17. I forgot, this is TSW, we don't discuss football here. My mistake, I'll get off of the rollercoaster.
  18. Nice backpedal - you promised me that Miami fans wouldn't mind losing LIn, you're called out on it, and now you don't care anymore? I *definately* agree with this, and have pointed it out several times myself. The big one was the play action pass near the goalline that was intercepted this year. LOTS of coaches make calls like that. CW
  19. There's a big Dolphins fan in my office, and he was actually pretty upset to see Linehan leave and is worried about who they might bring in. He's also hoping Buffalo hires Juron, and not Sherman.... For what that's worth. CW
  20. Check your messages -- I converted it for you (although my upload speed is slow, so it might take awhile to download; it's only ~2M now though.... ) CW
  21. I just saw it... Pretty cute (in a sad sort of way...) I'll try converting it for you now, and will let you know. CW
  22. Didn't realize 8-8 and 9-7 were "crashed and burned" seasons...
  23. It was a misinterpretation of the convoluted rule, NOT an issue of integrity. As I said before, if they were truly biased towards Indy, why not rule it an incomplete pass to begin with? Why say "No foul," with the falsestart/offsides fun? Etc, etc. It was reported that if the DB was hit by a Colt player, it WOULD have been incomplete. CW
  24. Did you see this thread? http://www.stadiumwall.com/index.php?showtopic=39668 Might help give you a better feel for Mike. CW
