  1. Maybe, maybe not. We'll just have to wait and see. As of now, he's still on the team. that's all we know for sure now. The TBD concensus one year ago today WAS thaT he'd be gone LAST YEAR. how did that work out? I can't predict what Coach McDermott does. He does a lot of things yall don't like like punting. It is my opinion that We would do really well with Hotrod And Darell. Go BILLS !!
  2. OC - Darell Bevell QB - Hotrod Rookie, whoever that is, rides the pine in 2018 like Mahomes this year. As far as draft class goes, I don't like Rosen ( injury riddled headcase) or Allen (we already have 3 inaccurate passers on staff). I suspect if Rico stays it's Falk (dink 'n dunk pocket passer) in the 2nd.
  3. Will it help his accuracy? Bevell'd be GREAT to work with Hotrod. He tailors his offense to HIs players strength as opposed to shoe horning his QB into a pocket passer if that's not his thing. I really hope we hire this guy.
  4. Yes and no. He's had Deon Branch, Randy Moss, Wes Welker, Amendola, Brandon Cooks (1st round trade for), Gronkowski (although technically a TE, he lines up as a WR a lot), Hernandez, Ben Coates, Julian Edelman, and Ben Watson. It's not like he's throwing to Brad Smith and Zay Jones up there. And Bill Bellyache is on record saying if you can't catch the football you're out. How long did Donald Jones last up there? And yes, Kelvin is a legit #1 WR. But after that ...
  5. It is and it isn't. Proof would be our very own Bills. From 1998 - 2001 in games Flutie started the team was 21-9 and in games Rob Johnson started we were 9-17. Same coach. Same offensive line. Same defense. Same WRs. Same RBs. Only difference was the QB and the won loss record was pretty much exactly the opposite.
  6. I got the info by both watching the games and something I read on TBD. It was pretty obvious that when we got ahead we went into sit on the football mode. And someone else, maybe Yolo or 26 ,posted some stats about first half vs second half. it wasn't like Hotrod was 12 for 15 in the first half and 2 for 10 in the second. It was more like 10 for 15 in the first half and 6 for 7 in the second. Less passing. I'll try to find it. I'm not sure if that's just because of his QB, or his coaching philosophy. A lot of coaches like to sit on the lead. I grew up in Dallas as a Cowboy fan from 1960 to 1988. Tom Landry sat on leads sometimes. Drove us nuts. But we won most of the time like Coach McDermott has this year. We'll see what he does next year he has more of "his guys". I don't have any links, but I'd love to see yours if they still have them so that I don’t make an incorrect claim. Here's one example that I was thinking of: https://www.twobillsdrive.com/community/topic/200274-tyrod-taylor-playoff-qb/?do=findComment&comment=4798997 20 passes in the first half and only 7 in the second half with a lead.
  7. Hopefully we don't replace Hotrod with "another middling bridge vet". What possibly could be the point of that? We won 9 with him in his first year with a suck egg QB (or so I hear). Why couldn't he do at least that well with a QB of comparable talent level with a better supporting cast?
  8. Would give Josh time to work on his accuracy. Why do we want to trade up all those picks for a guy with accuracy issues? We got 3 guys with accuracy issues already
  9. Maybe it was McCoys 1.4 ypc drop from 2016 (5.4) to 2017 (4.0)?
  10. All QBs have limitations. I too like Alex. I think he is at least a 50% better QB than Hotrod. Seems like a perfect fit for Rico's dink 'n dunk attack. He is accurate. I would support replacing Hotrod with Alex. Good thing too would he Couldn't wear that jinxed Bills #11. Drop Zone's got it locked up.
  11. How so? We were 9-7 this year, made the playoffs and were a TD away from advancing. We still have all that cap space and a bunch of draft picks. I'm thinking we win 10 next year MeV n if Rico stays. REX Did pretty much the same. His first year his D stunk up the joint. He kept his coordinator and hired his ineffective brother go "help". I'm kind of torn on this. Our O underperformed no doubt. Perhaps a year of continuity may Improve things. Not sure.
  12. Roman's offense was top 10 in scoring. The point of an offense is to score points, not put up gaudy pass stats. I guess it just depends on what the definition of success is. If you think winning the SB and leading the league in passing, then maybe not. I would argue that playing QB for a team that hasnt been to the playoffs in 17 years with only 2 winning seasons in that time and getting them to playoffs is successful. By all means, let's find someone batter though.
  13. Sorry, didn't see any false facts, only differing opinions. You said I misstated facts. I'll give you the 5th round thing. You said I've been " throwing around data left and right and it has been wrong". Please embarrass me next time I toss out a false fact. I'm a big boy. I can take it.
  14. Pretty much what I saw too.
  15. Like what for example?
  16. Go ahead and embarrass me. Since I'm not a TRUE fan, i can take if. Does this make me a FALSE fan?
  17. Roman's I'm thinking Mike McCoy could come up with one like he did for Tebow. Think outside of the box
  18. Thanks for clearing that up Yolo. I need to keep up better next guess. I still think its dumb though and the stats posted up thread Bares out why. Hopefully we can get another DT as good as him with that 5th round pick. Its a hole wee certainly need to address.
  19. Dear aceman_16, Oops. I was going by this. http://www.nfl.com/news/story/0ap3000000868200/article/bills-trade-marcell-dareus-to-jaguars-for-draft-pick Please pardon my mistake. Yous truly, Mr. Agenda
  20. I see your point. I also agree with you that we need better QB play. Maybe I didn't make myself clear. I don't want to crown Hotrod the 2018 opening day starter. But I DO want to keep him on the team in case of injury or if we can't find someone better (which is a very real possibility). This is not like moving on from EJ or Trent. We're moving on from a p!ayoff QB this time. One more thing, how many games do you think Kirk Cousins won this year when his D got no turnovers?
  21. I explained why I don't want to out and out dump Hotrod despite his limitations. We've done that twice before when we had QBs that could help get us to 9+ wins and had disastrous consequences. That's my point. If you feel different that's fine. Relax pal. How was I attacking fans? The FO released these guys. It's nice that Hotrod has only won 2 games without a turnover. Again, i don't think it's a big deal. Your do. Fine. Sorry I was pissy. Didn't know that was a problem on TBD. Just seems to me everytime we get close, we shoot ourselves in the foot QB wise. I don't wanna do that again, that's all.
  22. Well, at least we got out 6th round pick! Most moronic of all the Coach McDermott moronic trades imho.
  23. How exactly did he provd that he will never be? Can you predict the future too? I don't really care about the answer to your question really. I expect the Bills to have an even better D next year so it's a nit. I know yall think I LOVE me some Hotrod. I do like him, true. But here's my thing. I've been a Bills fan since 1996 and seen us in a very similar spot 3 times before. 2000 - We had Flutie who had taken us to playoffs 2 out of last 3 years. Yet we were so certain that the 6' 3"" young stallion Rob Johnson was going win us multiple Lombardis so we dumped the playoff QB. We didn't have another winning season for 4 years. 2004 - We had Blue Dreadslow and went 9-7. We won 8 out of last 10. The team had some serious mojo workin'. But we hated Blue and had this 1st round draft pick we HAD to get in to take us all the way. We cut Blue. JP sucked. We didn't have another winning season for 10 years. 2014 - Bills go 9-7 again. Kyle quit, but fans here were ready to dump him for who knows what? 2 more years without a winning season. Now fans want to do the same. Hotrod has limitations no doubt. You won't get an argument from me on that. I just don't want us to dump a playoff QB (although limited) for a possible maybe. If we can get Smith or Keenum and draft a QB, fine. But there is no guarantee that we'll get a QB as good as Hotrod (although limited). Contrary to popular belief, we can always do worse. I'm just a bird in hand guy. Evidently, you're not. That's OK too.
  24. Why does this matter? A win is not a win if the D does it's job too? We have an opportunistic D. Is that a bad thing? Would it better if they didn't get those "lucky" turnovers? Figures it was Rex' 'teams that didn't get a turnover. We can never have a good QB unless we have a bad D? does that make any kind of sense? To you I guess it does Does the Defense have any impact on this too, or is it only the QB?
