Actually it was 18 years ago. I'm all in on trading up IF we are trading up for someone we truly believe has all it takes to be the 15 year/every year contender/300+ yards per game/multiple Lombardi guy. If he's not that. then don't do it. Get some decent WRs and patch up the offense and pick a project like Falk or White or Lalauetta later on. There's another draft next year.

I'd still take our QB squad over Miami's or the Jets at this point.

This kindof goes with my line of thinking. The "franchise QB" thing is a dieing breed. All of the real ones are well north of 30 like Brady, Big Ben, Brees, Ryan, Rivers (if he even is one with all the losing), Eli, Flaco, ... Under the age of 30 there are only 3. Luck (if his health holds out), Cam Newton, and Russell Wilson. All three of these are 29 and will be north of 30 this year. I like you think the style of college football now, spread offenses with QBs throwing to wide open WRs doesn't translate well to NFL. Where are the new ones going to come from if any do?

Neither has Winston, Watson, or Goff. Wentz had 1/2 of a good season.

I agree 100%. But I also think there other ways besides top 10 draft pick. All avenues (trade/FA signing etc) should be pursued with abandon. Hasselbeck and Holmgrwn had a nice run in Seattle in the early/mid 2000s with 2NFC championship games and 1SB appearance. Hass couldn't beat out Favre and was languishing on the pine. This is one of those other avenues of which I was speaking.
