  1. If one pick really did ruin Nasty Nate's start, then he truly is a kitty. Dump DiMarco. The pass Houston is referring to. There was also another game he could have scored an easy TD, but tripped over his own feet and couldn't get to the football. seems he dropped on on 3rd down in a game earlier in the year.
  2. Whenever someone says "it's not about the money", it's about the money. Money talks and BS walks.
  3. I was surprised it was not one of the top 10 games of 2017. The way the guys including backups came together and got that game, it made me think for the first time, this could really be the year this ends. And it did! I still have it on DVR as well. I plan to watch it 4th of July weekend.
  4. The post I responded to said standing pat and taking a QB at 22 would result in leftovers.
  5. "Leftovers" have been hoisting a lot of Lombardis lately. Foles, Tommy, Russell ...
  6. AJ has a lot of upside and a high ceiling.
  7. 21 may be too high. But I could definitely see round 2. You can't wait too long on these guys as we well know with the Russell Wilson/TJ Graham debacle. A no frills accurate pocket passer may be just what we need.
  8. Actually I was re enforcing your opinion somewhat mockingly to the person you were replying to. Seems like a silly argument to me. That was my intention anyway ...
  9. My prediction is we pick Luke Falk with 21 or maybe in round 2. I'm thinking we'll opt to use the picks our selves and take a QB that falls that we like. Falk is a very accurate pocket passer that threw for a ton of yards and TDs in college. I'm thinking he would be a good process guy for Coach McDermott. Ride the pine behind Hotrod for 2018. Unleash a pocket passing attack which is what Beane says he wants.
  10. so we should put our opinion on if a QB is good or not based on what Marvin Lewis says?
  11. RJ played against all the hard teams and Flutie played against the easy teams.
  12. Did I say that? But we'll just have to wait and see. The dude has skills.
  13. The Falcons didn't think Brett Favre was a challenger for Chris Miller. The Chargers didn't think Drew Brees was a challenger for Phillip Rivers.
  14. Oh, I see. Cherry picked stats. Do you think he's forgotten how to pass?
  15. Actually, it's 133. 6 TDs 2 picks. 64.7 comp % 93.6 rate. And, he can win the big one (in college at least).
  16. Id go hot and heavy after this guy. Bring him, Hotrod, and another drafted QB in for an off/pre season smack down. Best QB plays. Nasty Nate can come to camp too as a camp arm.
  17. I see your point and agree its valid. In 2017 he had 3 such opportunities. Against Bungles as you have pointed out, he layed an egg. Against Bucs we were down 7 with 3 and change to go and won by 3. Against Panthers he did hit Jones in the hands on 4th down. I guess we have to count the playoff game as well. (Those pesky playoff games ) so on 4 opportunities he laid an egg twice. Would have been nice to get a little help on the other loss. That's 25%. What do other QBs do? I couldn't find any stats. The all time leaders are in the 50-55% range. A valid gripe, but a little overblown IMHO.
  18. I want to improve QB play for next year no matter what it takes. How exactly is it ironic? Has Hotrod ever said after a loss that he was OK with it because he played well?
  19. Trying to improve is one thing. Saying you're OK after a loss because you played well is a different thing. If I'm paying a guy highest QB in the league money, I expect to him to elevate his game when needed to win. His attitude suggests otherwise IMHO. QBs job is to win regardless of his "process". At the money he'll be hauling in, he needs to make plays to win us games. High passing yards ain't alone like he did at his last gig ain't gonna cut it.
  20. Does he say he doesn't?
  21. Straight from the horse's mouth is my Cousins concern. He's a good fundamentally sound QB, but he's not a winner. We lost, but I did good, so I'm good.
  22. Sounds like the Nike designed suits are a bust in the bigs. Any word on if Tampa Bay or Seattle are planning to change too? Those 2 are really bad also.
  23. 1/2 of Hotrod's picks this year bounced off of Clay's hands. the OLine didn't have any better luck protecting Nasty Nate than they did Hotrod. Shady's ypc was down 1.4 from 2016. Blocking (or lack thereof) played a big role in this. Dumping Hotrod fixes all this though.
