  1. who said anything about Tyrod? Only you, just now. this is a Nate Peterman thread Dude. Who.am I supposed to discuss in a Nate Peterman thread if not Nate Peterman?
  2. Again, what does that have to do with anything? Does this in some way make Nasty Nate better? if so, please explain. How many picks did Fitz throw. Who cares? Neither one is on the team anymore. They will never take another snap for Buffalo.
  3. Throwing 5 picks in one half in one game and then in relief in playoffs on 4 plays completing one pass, one fumble, one penalty against him, and one pick means your not viable.
  4. Dixie Chicks didn't get away with it and they were perceived as liberals for Natalie's comments on "foreign soil".
  5. Jocks eat this whole "chip on your shoulder" thing up. it's how they motivate themselves. Coaches thrive on it as well "they said we couldn't do it" blah blah blah. It's even part of "The Process". It was used to great effect by Coach McDermott and the guys last year and will too this year. I think it silly that people have a problem with it.
  6. We'll see what happens. I hope he knocks it out of the park and looks great on the podium hoisting his 2nd and 3rd Lombardi trophies. Not holding my breath though. I do have a new unopened bottle of Tabasco in my cupboard should eating crow be in order .
  7. so 1 for 16 under pressure is not melting? What about the chuck and duck pick vs LA? Melting or not melting? I have worked for 2 NFL teams. How many have you worked for?
  8. Dixie Chicks got annihilated for this. You can't dog out America on foreign soil LOL. Something we can all agree on.
  9. I agree with a lot of this. However the Bills did not "give" him anything. He earned it. He was a good Bill and left the Bills in a better place than he found them. Hopefully JA, AJ, and Nasty Nate will be able to say the same although it is far from guaranteed.
  10. Doubtful, but perhaps. Even though tanking and trading up and taking the second QB on the board is a different strategy than the draft a schmuck every year the likes of Smith, Petty, and Sackenberg IMHO.
  11. I don't even know what you're talking' about Dude. All I said was Nasty Nate melts under pressure. Are you saying he does not? If so, when did he not except for that 1 play out of 16? And it has ZERO to do with what other Bills QBs may or may not do.
  12. What exactly does this have to do with Nasty Nate and his penchant for melting under pressure?
  13. The poor kid melts under pressure. Not a good look for a Franchise QB or even a long term servicable backup QB.
  14. Drafting a QB every year like the Jets do is a sure fire process to get a "Franchise QB"
  15. Thanks Mom. I'm rooting for the best QB whoever that is. I really don't care which one it is. Just win.
  16. I'm willing to write him off for this AND in the playoff game in 4 plays he got a first down, fumbled, had a penalty called on him,and then threw a pick. Sure it was a tough situation, but if he's really our 2nd string QB, he needs to produce when called on. If he can't, we can't afford to wait for him to grow up when we got games to win. I kindof put most of the blame for this on Coach McDermott. You GOTTA have a backup QB that can actually play. Nick Foles ... If the Eagles had Nasty Nate as their backup they probably would not have even made the playoffs. "The most important position is QB. The second most important position is back up QB." -- HOF Joe Gibbs As I recall, he looked really good in shorts last year too.
  17. We're going to have a stingy opportunistic D. O isn't going to need to score that many points. Protect the football. Kick FGs. That's the process. No matter who is under center this year.
  18. Exactly. I wonder if AJ wants to beat Cincinnati in playoffs?
  19. I have no idea what JA can or will do. He's a total empty canvas at this point IMHO. I Hope he does well and this wasn't a HUGE mistake. Time will tell. That's all I have.
  20. It's been dark since the ST evening of January 7th IMHO.I I'll check in here frequently. Rewatch some of the wins from last year I TIVOed. Do summer stuff.
  21. I know you (and mAny many many other TBDers) are a big pAssing yards say person. Let me introduce you to another stat that has even more impact on winning or losing. it's called turnover differential. In fact, the team that wins that Stat wins at least 2/3 of the time. Bills were 9th even with Nasty Nate's 6 picks and Joe Webb's 2. ThIS STAT is controlled by how often your D takes the football away (ours was good at it) AND a QB and offense that doesn't turn the football over (ours was good at that too).. Throwing only 4 picks in 14 games and not fumblingcontributes MIGHTILY to that stat. I know yall want a QB that throws it around the yard and that's all cool. But if throws too many to the other team, which a lot of QBs do, then it's all for naught.
  22. My fun idea is WIN. Winning is fun.
