  1. I didn't read the article just came to complain btw what does the wristband come with?
  2. If some people didn't see something like this coming after they implemented new bus lot policies every year and nothing changed, I don't know what to tell them. While I think the quoted post is a bit much, the message is clear. This is 100% the end result of the actions of others. They have tried small changes and nothing changed and since Bills fans can't act like grownups in the bus lot, now they get to pay to be babysat. It's not that hard to have some beverages, get primed up for the game and have a good time without also doing the things the Bills have continually said "hey stop doing that."
  3. I don't care about either of these things if they are bringing him in on a one year, bet on yourself deal. He would be motivated to prove his health and produce to cash in when he hits free agency again next year.
  4. I'd be happy to see Ansah on a one year deal. Anything to improve the pass rush rotation is fine by me. Even signing him they will still have cap space to roll to 2020
  5. Tommy Sweeney from Boston College is some straight from Central Casting type name are we sure he is real
  6. If you don't know by now that introducing politics to a discussion inevitably leads to a locked thread I don't know what to tell ya. Folks can't control themselves.
  7. "How can I take an interesting discussion and turn it into a flaming pile of poo? Let's sprinkle some politics in and see where it goes! This will surely end well on the internet!" In all seriousness, a lot of it is just the fit. Putting a mobile QB like Allen behind a bad OL is bad for his development of course. But putting a pocket QB like Rosen behind an even worse OL is an incredibly dumb sin. Obviously the coaching situation was worse than you lay out too. McCoy was fired before half the season was over...for the second season in a row. Steve Wilks was such a tire fire they gave him the boot too. He gets the pass because it's best for the entire world to forget the 2018 Cardinals existed because they were such a mess
  8. Maybe I'm just tired of being negative about this team after watching them be bad and dumb for my entire life (or at least the 20ish years I've watched and understood the game) but I'm gonna try to give them the benefit of the doubt for once. The lack of production is concerning of course but the athletic traits are there. They weren't going to use all 10 picks so the trade up is whatever. And as Yolo said they did a ton of homework on him so they must really like something about him. If he flames out, no big deal, try again.
  9. Hey @Cornette's Commentary I think we might both agree on this one, eh buddy? Pop that head out from under your bridge and grace us with your presence
  10. Right on, I think aside from Hockenson we are in a similar boat at 9. Elsewhere I ranked my top 12 players excluding the QBs, this isn't necessarily in order, and came up with: Bosa Q Williams Allen Oliver White Hockenson J Williams Taylor Simmons pre injury (obviously moved down now) Sweat Wilkins Bush I assume the first 5 will definitely be off the board at 9, but would love Oliver (more than Hock). The next 5; well 4 because of Simmons, I would be fine with at #9. Anything after that and I would rather see in a trade down scenario. Similar to you I'm not super excited about Metcalf, but could handle it if they traded down to say, #15 with Washington and then rolled the dice.
  11. I must have missed the Burns scoop. I can't get on board with it but it's all good, I'm used to being disappointed with their first pick
  12. Jonah Williams and Hockenson are both super clean prospects with sterling reputations as far as their work ethic and locker room attitude go. Its possible that the Bills felt they didn't need anything further on these guys since they're both carrying the "Yeah he's a plug and play guy and you don't have to worry about him at all" reputation. In regards to Hockenson, his agent has kept ALL of his visits quiet, so we don't know for sure if he came on a top 30 visit or not. That being said it has been reported the Bills had a private workout for Iowa WR Nick Easley and TE Noah Fant -- what are the odds the Bills worked out two of their skill guys and not the third? In regards to Williams, they do kind of have an inside source on him. Brian Daboll coached him at Alabama and probably knows everything the Bills need about him as a prospect. If he's as clean as they say, and your OC already knows him....do you even need the visit? Edit: Just checked that Buffalo Rumblings list again and while there are 30 names listed, the two Penn State visits (Sanders and Oruwariye) don't count as they're a "home market school" for the Bills. So they have 28 reported visits.... Hockenson and Williams could be 29 and 30 for all we know
  13. How much did we hear about Wilkins to Buffalo, except as a trade down target, before this week? Very little.
  14. Is he that high on everyone's board who does this for a living or did we use only DJ's rank because it was the highest? I feel like Wilkins is an afterthought here. Like "Well Ed Oliver isn't making it to 9 so let's just start pushing him to Buffalo instead" even though he's a perfect pick if they trade down.
  15. Okay so Montez Sweat is a consensus top 15-20 prospect with a medical red flag due to the heart condition that came up at the combine. But can't have first round stock?
  16. Kelce was kicked off his team for a year for being a douchebag and Gronk had back surgery. They didn't end up being first round picks due to red flags, but that doesn't mean they didn't have first round film. That being said there's merit to whether or not the value of selecting a TE early is worth it. Hockenson just looks to be a natural fit for this offense and it's needs. Both as a blocker and receiver, and because many evaluators think he can make an instant impact
  17. I can see that I've really got your panties in a bunch, troll, but I've never said these things explicitly. At least have the stones to tag me if you're going to mention me, baby boy.
  18. Not everyone is Kyle Williams. For every Kyle Williams coming from LSU, there's another guy from Alabama or Ohio State or (insert power program here) who has already reached his peak and will be a decent pro player, but not anything special either. I think he will be a starter in the NFL but I'd really like a lot more than just "a starter" from #9
  19. I don't think Oliver is making it to 9 after all the hype this week, but the age should matter a bit especially around a top 10 pick. Oliver was born 12/12/97. Wilkins 12/20/95. Now assume they both play to 35 and you get 12 seasons out of one and 10 out of the other....all extra value on the pick in the long term
  20. Wilkins won't be the best player on the board at 9. I don't think he's a bad player. But he's not a good pick at 9. He's older for a rookie, his floor is high, but he's also probably pretty close to his ceiling. He's maxed out because he's 23 going on 24 and there's just not a ton of growth left for him. I could get behind him as a pick with a trade down but it's not something I can support at 9.
  21. Where are we going with this? You said TE doesn't make sense because Allen succeeded with deep and outside the numbers throws. I said yeah, and now the coordinators in the league have the film on him and they'll game plan to take those throws away, so what now?
