  1. Darby is awful. I'm shouting out from the mountaintops. I hated the pick in May. I hate it more every time he takes the field.
  2. Kind of like Matt Leinart started game 4 in 2013 and got cut the next day
  3. Sully is a real life Debbie Downer. A caricature of a person, really.
  4. Red Bryant is pretty good against the run himself. He'll help.
  5. I'm somewhere between the Buffalo nuts and the top of the K. Proud to finally be on the list.
  6. He can't cover very well so I'd disagree. He was a much better fit for Schwartz's D where the MLB is an A gap plugger.
  7. He gives them a warm body until Jackson, Brown or Dixon return and an easy decision come cutdown day if he's still on the team.
  8. I bet Bryant doesn't sign anywhere until right before or right after camps break. Crafty veteran move.
  9. I agree completely. If they sign Bryant, he is probably the starter next to Kyle Williams in week 1. After that, he's the top interior backup and a solid rotational player in short yardage or big packages with 4 or 5 DL. Carrington played DE in Pettine's D and could slide out to be Mario's primary backup, filling Wynn's old role. That would be one hell of a deep DL with a LOT of versatility. You could have a big package of Dareus-Bryant-K. Williams-M. Williams with the ability to mix Carrington and Charles in as needed.
  10. This would go a long way in reducing the hurt of Wynn missing the season.
  11. Channel 4 is a tire fire similar to Channel 7 after Irv and Murphy.
  12. The Sabres social media and game presentations are total crap. In terms of fan engagement, those two things can go a long way in making a team that's not do fun on the ice more palatable. If he had any say whatsoever in the direction those have gone in the Pegula era, I won't miss him a bit.
  13. I'm a first time STH and got my package two weeks ago to the day. I must have been one of the first
  14. Bobby Petrino had some good voodoo
  15. He's the preacher at the tent revival, right? Just finished episode three and I couldn't place the actor no matter how hard I tried. Also cool that the modern day detectives from season one are played by two actors I recognized immediately. Tyler from Sons of Anarchy and Brother Mouzone from The Wire
  16. I've seen "concerns" over O'Reilly's point totals...mostly on Reddit where Avalanche fans were trying to make themselves feel better I think. They were basically saying that if he was only putting up 55-65 with Duchene, MacKinnon and Landeskog, what is he going to do in Buffalo? Like they think Evander Kane isn't a similar level talent or something, let alone Eichel in a few years. The guy is an analytics darling. It's going to be fun for the next 5 years or so
  17. It has to be. Leino was never good. O'Reilly is already a highly respected grizzled vet in the league at 24. I don't want to rush the summer away but man, I can't wait until football and hockey season.
  18. I can fully agree there. I'll be the first to admit that I'm not a rabid fan of the beautiful game, but I do have an appreciation for it. I played youth soccer from 5-16 just for fun, as it was something active to do, but didn't have a huge passion for it. I always watch World Cup and Olympic soccer, but rarely in between. That being said, the Abby Wambach trotting out for the 2015 World Cup is a sad, far cry from the player in the Athens games in 2012 or the 2011 World Cup. But you can tell she's still a "glue" member of the team.
  19. Agreed. I wish they were still in the western conference so I could openly cheer for them
  20. Not a huge fan of this decision
  21. I lurk but I'm not a big contributor on there as well as r/sabres. Too much groupthink and downvoting for dissenting opinions
  22. With the talk of Murray wanting to add another defensemen who is a left handed shot, I find myself wondering if Andrej Sekera would be open to returning to Buffalo. He's made big strides in the two years since he was traded and would slot in perfectly, along with allowing the team to limit Weber and Gorges' minutes.
  23. Zadorov should have been part of the core but acquiring Bogosian who is already established in the league made him slightly less important. Add in his maturity red flags and it was best to deal him at his biggest value. Computer's absolute best case scenario was a poor man's O'Reilly, so that's fine by me, and Grigorenko was headed to the KHL.
  24. @HalfordPHT: Entire Colorado table just broke huddle around Sakic. Six guys including Roy. Sakic over to Buffalo table with Sherman. @HalfordPHT: Ok we got something. Sakic and Murray going up to draft stage together.
