  1. I've been a Whaley supporter but this season has shown to me his weakness as a GM. He had acquired a pretty talented group of starters, but the depth overall is pretty poor, save for maybe RB, WR, CB, and the interior linemen on both sides. EJ isn't good enough if Taylor goes down, and Cassel has shown that he wouldn't have been either, considering he can't get it done with the best OL in the game, a top 3 WR and HOF lock TE. If Cordy Glenn, while seeming to be up and down week to week, were to miss some time, Seantrel can barely get it done at RT, let alone LT. I feel the same way about Preston Brown and Bradham. They may not be the best each week, but this team would be up the creek with Tarpley/Steward. Mario missing today was noticeable, more so after Carrington's injury. IK is not good at football. Duke Williams and Rambo are one dimensional players at safety. This season may be entirely different if Aaron Williams didn't suffer that neck injury in week two. Point being, a good GM needs to put together a strong 53, because there's no way to predict where the next man up may be needed. Whaley has done a good job with the top 22, IMO, but past that he is failing.
  2. Not necessarily an increase. Philly could offer the minimum. IIRC, there is no limit on what a team pays their PS guys, only a minimum, so in theory Buffalo could offer him the same as a PS player if they really wanted him to stick around. It was Matt Simms, wasn't it? After the Tennessee game?
  3. Danny Crossman. Holdover from the last staff, fumbles and penalties have plagued the return and coverage units.
  4. BUF/NYJ for a wild card spot won't have nearly as much appeal to the league/NBC as MIN/GB for the NFC North title, IMO. Bridgewater + Rodgers >>>>>> Taylor + Fitz
  5. Fellow STH here, I'm on your side
  6. The only game I see as potentially more intriguing/important to the playoffs than a BUF/NYJ win and you're in game is MIN/GB playing for the NFC North at Lambeau. I'm hoping that's the case, I have no interest in attending a Sunday night game in January
  7. $2.8 dead cap hit. Maybe this off-season.
  8. They're playing well, but KC has beaten the Landry Jones led Steelers, Lions, and Chargers. The performance against Denver was solid, but aided for sure by Manning's 5 INT implosion--they only had 303 yards of offense. The same kind of holds true for Houston. After Miami ripped them up, they have beaten Tennessee and the Jets, who are seemingly falling apart themselves. But they did have a good defensive performance against Cinci on MNF.
  9. A win tomorrow night would have me feeling VERY good. 6-4 with a head to head remaining against two possible challengers in IF and Houston, and the tiebreaker already obtained over NYJ and Indy. That's how you get in position to control your own destiny
  10. Houston has games against NO, BUF, NE, and their 3 division opponents left. Indy has TB, PIT, MIA, and the division. I could see a scenario where control of that division is realistically in play when the two meet on 12/20.
  11. The problem is how often they've been able to have all those guys on the field the same week. Clay and Woods are the only ones who haven't missed multiple games due to injury. Some of them overlapped, some didn't. Off the top of my head, I'm thinking Indy, NE, Miami and last Thursday are the only times all of those guys have been healthy at the same time.
  12. Bills already have the head-to-head tiebreaker over the Colts. Houston's win today evened them up with the Colts in the AFC South with a matchup between the two coming up on 12/20. That division title is in play as long as the two teams remain within a game of each other, even if Luck returns.
  13. Completely agreed. Chan somehow made a relatively competent offense out of a squad starting Fitz, Donald Jones and Scott Chandler. That's the definition of average, if you want to be very kind.
  14. There's a LOT of Bills fans under 30 out there that didn't get to live it. Deal with it.
  15. Posts like this make me glad my seats are where they are. Second row from the top of my section, club seats behind us. The people in the row behind me can stand at will without worrying about obstructing anyone's view, which means I can do the exact same thing
  16. I'll probably fall asleep during halftime, it's my new Thursday night tradition
  17. This is right on point. They can afford (expect?)another L in Foxboro but if they can't beat the Dolphins and Jets with an injured Fitz/Geno/Petty...they don't deserve to be in the conversation
  18. This was a terrible idea. Grantland was an every day read for me as your typical mid-to-late 20's sports fan. I'm at a loss why they would try to integrate the quality content from Grantland into the cesspool that ESPN.com is
  19. I'd trade the staff of TBN sports

  21. Bills, Jets, Cowboys, Panthers, Titans, Rams, Bucs and Jags
  22. I'm not sure he's unconventional as much as a player's coach type. He's taking his own experiences into account and not using some common coaching tactics that he knows pros feel are total B.S. (such as Marrone's DON'T CONFUSE EFFORT WITH RESULTS)
  23. Oh guys, I wish I got as worked up as all of you over something not even directed toward me
  24. Wow..no way. I hope it wasn't drug related
