I have been watching Sammy the las few games pretty closely. He was getting ridiculous separation early in the season but since his groin injury that hasn't been true. Add also that defenses are drifting coverage his way and yes, he is not being targeted much. I did see Sammy in motion a couple of times. Look for this in future games.

Miami still has to play Jets twice and a pretty soft remaining schedule. That's who I'm most concerned about.

I have been saying for a few weeks now that the OL has been improving. Seems everyone is assuming that just because the OL was stinking it up early in the season that they are doomed to remain that way. Orton has been staying upright of late and the run game is starting to get rolling. If you think that the run game hasn't improved check the difference between the last 2 Jets games. Huge improvement. Another thing that is very promising is seeing how Orton is getting the ball to many of our weapons. When you see players like Chandler, Hogan, and our RBs making plays you know things are looking up. It is awesome when our top stars like Fred, Sammy and Woods have big days, but when a bunch of other guys are making plays too, the whole offense starts to look real sharp. As for Pettine, his aggressiveness tends to lead to turnovers. That does not make his defensive philosophy perfect though. He is just as likely to get burned for being overly aggressive. That is why Cleveland is among the worst at stopping the run. Remember, Cleveland is only ranked 20th in the NFL. Some of it is scheme. Some of it is just talent. We are making too much out of Cleveland's defense under Pettine. Plus, Buffalo hasn't faced a defense ranked this low all season. All Buffalo has to do is mix things up on offense. Pettine likes to be aggressive. He can't guess every play. Sooner or later he is going to guess wrong.

I am not a fan of giving up one of your best players for a QB. You try to get one when the opportunity arises and you don't do it by giving up too much. This is just crazy talk. The idea is to improve the team, lose someone important to get someone who might be good.

No it isn't. The Browns are frauds. They don't deserve to be in the playoff picture. Bills will roll right over them. Also, the Bills offense has consistently been getting many offensive players involved in the game and the Browns defense is only ranked 20th. This about the weakest defense Buffalo has faced. Many don't realize that the Browns have been winning on the strength of their offense and the defense has been giving up a lot of yardage. Yes. Jacksonville has a pass rush.

Actually, the OL has been stepping up. Fred isn't being relied on for blocking much lately.

I'm very much aware of who the Bills have played and who they are about to play. The defense is tough and far from "tough". They have earned it. Take a closer look at who the Bills have all ready played. So far based on this years records, the Bills have faced the 7th toughest schedule in the NFL.

The Browns have the 20th ranked defense. Surprisingly, their offense is ranked at 10th. This is a bad matchup for the Browns. Buffalo's defense is the toughest they have faced this season and Buffalo's offense is facing one of the weakest defenses they have faced this year. Not quite total domination, but close. 41-6 Bills Cleveland is ranked 19th in sacks. They don't scare me at all. You are just remembering Pettine with this defense. Cleveland's D has a long ways to go.

I'm still peeved that they moved the kickoff spot up so far that almost no kickers bring the ball out of the end zone anymore. Turned one of the most exciting plays of the game into a meh. But it was fun seeing the Jets repeatedly bring the ball out and Easley gunning it hard.

The Jets defense is still ranked 7th in the NFL. That's pretty impressive when you consider how many games they have lost. What does this mean? It means our offense is starting to get into a groove. I noticed weeks ago that the offensive line started to put it together. Each week they are improving their blocking schemes. Orton may not be a top 10 QB, but he isn't doing too bad either. Sammy is drawing double coverage and other receivers are making catches, all while keeping Orton upright. Also, the run game was looking like a carcass left on the side of the road until the last couple of weeks. The offense moved the ball, on the ground against the #4 ranked rush defense. These are good things. As for the defense, the Bills flat out destroyed a horrible offense, and this should not be a surprise. What has me hopeful right now, is that the offense is starting to click. The defense is awesome. They are stealing the show right now, but it is the offense no one is paying attention to that folks should be watching more closely. Woods is making catches. Multiple TEs, RBs, WRs are making catches. Orton had a couple of bad games but over all he is trending upward. We all know that our defense deserves to be in the playoffs. A little more production from the offense, and this team is going places.

They were a little bit better last nite.

The Jets have beaten the Steelers....just sayin' That whole division is weak. Browns don't know what's going to hit them.
