  1. C'mon Kyle, Mario, Jerry and Marcel! Make them PAY!!!!!!!!
  2. While I am excited about the Bills new found ability to stop the run, I am even more excited about our ability to stop the pass. Our defensive line can get to the QB. This is the best way to stop Chicago. Make Cutler antsy and the entire game shifts in our favor. Let that line pin their ears back and get after it. On offense, we are going to see some things. I expect to see some sloppy plays but this is not time to press the panic button. What I am looking for is some play calling that is not predictable, some improvement from EJ and a heavy dose of running against the worst run defense in the NFL. Go BILLS!!!!!
  3. Cutler is awful when you put pressure on him. We have the defensive line that can scramble his brain. I can't wait for this.
  4. OK...stop.....just stop.
  5. Funny..... you'd think a cantankerous old fart would like that old school music.
  6. Oh man, that was an awesome video. I am impressed by how many recent offensive plays in that vid and the defensive line section is bad ass. The section on turnovers was cool too. How can you look at these things and not be pumped about the coming year.
  7. I agree. Joe B. is a young man with a level head and I have enjoyed his articles on WGR.
  8. From a numerical point of view, you are correct. I think the OP is speaking more from an emotional point of view. Keep up the good work, Rookie. I like your attitude.
  9. Every game is important but the OP does have a point. Coming out in the season opener and setting the tone would be huge for this organization. And the following week would be electric. This team does not need to be cautiously optimistic like the disgruntled fans of this board. Throw caution to the wind for a moment. See in your minds eye the Bills defeating Chicago and then look ahead to the effect this will have on the fans and the crowd when the Bills step onto the field at our home opener. If you can't do that, you have lost something. And it ain't good. The Bear offense is no more elite than the defense they will be playing against.
  10. I have a problem with the title of this thread......didn't even bother reading anything else. You never give up on your team....period. Ex-Bills fan? You were never a real fan to begin with. Sorry.
  11. How can you not be ornery if you've been around that long?
  12. LOL.......even when a thread started has nothing to do with EJ, it still somehow turns into an EJ thread. So yea, this will never work.
  13. Yea, but he carries a big stick.
  14. You are totally disrespecting our D.
  15. EJ is now the only QB on the roster that knows the offense. No way Orton comes in anytime in the near future.
  16. There has been a lot of reporting on Hogan this preseason. They say he came to camp in great shape and worked his ass off. Ended up being one of the most consistent WRs through camp. That's pretty impressive considering some of the talent we have at the position now.
  17. Predictions with the Bears scoring more than 20pts are silly. D is going to make Cutler cry. Bills 17 Bears 10
  18. With the way that Robey is playing, I would not be surprised if Graham gets some starts at safety.
  19. My faith is still in tact. Marone may be intentionally putting the offense in difficult situations. Calling plays that are difficult to execute in an effort to make the offense better. We do not know what goes on behind the scenes. As for the direction of the team, I have seen significant improvements in many phases of the game and while it is painfully obvious that there are areas that need to be worked on, I do not think it is time to stop believing. It's just preseason. The whole process of dropping down to 53, picking up a QB....a punter etc, is very complex. The decisions a coach has to make are complex. We know that, but still try to figure out what a coach or GM is trying to do. I tend to think that we armchair coaches and GMs are often not even close to knowing what is going on. So don't stop believing. Just enjoy the ride. What the Bills are trying to do is not easy, but from where I am sitting, it looks like a good deal of effort is being put in from top to bottom. The whole season is still in front of us and it sure as hell ain't over yet.
  20. Schmidt can kick too....not just a punter.
  21. Really? I thought I read somewhere that he was 35. I think the "brain trust" as you call it will have some more surprises for us. Wouldn't be surprised if we pick up a key cog after everyone drops down to the 53 man rosters. Going to be a lot of good talent lost. We just got rid of a very promising DLman and we are likely to lose a good WR when we drop down to 53. Other teams as well will be losing some good talent. Opportunities to improve are still there.
  22. Can't believe how people over analyze this. We had a 2nd string QB that was stinking up the place so bad that he was beat out by Jeff Tuel. He is now gone. Then we bring in another scrub for a couple of days that obviously couldn't cut it. He is now gone. Now Orton gets a chance. Preseason is just a wash. Always has been, but people are so dramatic. The sky is falling. EJ didn't do this or EJ didn't do that. Seriously, folks need to get a grip. Orton is nothing more than a hopeful improvement to the team. He is not going to come in and start. Not happening.....no way... notta. Orton may be a decent mentor and a reliable back up. To think that this 35yr old is going to come in and be the answer is really preposterous. Game one has not even been played yet. Orton vs EJ? Seriously?
